Smurfs village update 1.2.1 (Sporty Smurf update) is live

After a long long wait of the new update 1.2.1 (Sporty Smurf update), just came live. I this update new smurfs will join the village, however many players are complaining that they lost their Clockworker smurfs and bolts. In addition to that new Sports themed decoration items were added as well as new gifts. Moreover a new level 47 was added.
So what is new in this version according to Beeline official description:
- Sporty Smurf joins the island with his Soccer Mix-Up mini-game. Header, pass, and kick your way to victory!
- Modify the soccer field with stunning upgrades to earn extra xp when completing Sporty Smurf’s Soccer Mix-Up!
- Palm trees on the island can now grow a unique crop on your island. Trade with friends to unlock them all. Which crop did you get?
- Visit friends to boost the rewards they receive from a palm tree crop once per day
- Wild Smurf joins the island, unlocking all palm tree crops including a special crop. Wild Smurf also boosts the reward from all palm tree crops
- Upgrade Wild Smurf to unlock Plant All and Harvest All functionalities for the palm crops
- New sport themed decorations have been added to the island
- Level 47 has been added to the game
- Lots of new quests in the village and on the island
- Various bug fixes.
Why was everything open to me and not you guys?? I have all seeds open. And can give all??

I was one of the unlucky ones that lost my blueprint and all my pieces of clockwork smurf with the update. I contacted Beeline and my problem was sent to the developers but I have yet to hear anything else from them.
Do anyone know what it means when it say your palm tree is watered by a friend but the tree is not ready to harvest? Does this mean you will get something extra when its time to harvest?
For over two months I haven't been able to send out rafts because there missing. Therefor I can't complete a bottle quest, or any quest on the island for that matter, because every quest needs a raft voyage. And now all my collected bolts are gone. I've had enough of this game, I'm not going to play it of buy smurfberries anymore. These bugs are killing all the fun. No more Smurf Village for me.
i can't get to level 47, I am stuck at 46 with 116550% next to it and my xp bar extends out of the box!

To the people who can't get palm trees to work, you have to touch the very bottom of them. Loving the palm trees, to my friends I water these at the same time as gifting bolts, as you can do both. The same in return would be much appreciated! If you want to exchange bolts and water plants then add me please

If you tab a palm on the island, you can plant fruits. It's an island version of magic shurbs on the mainland.

this is a bug and it is reported to Beeline, didnt you get an bottle with a new blueprint ?
BEELINE should fire all its QC employees since they are useless, they make the updates and release them without checking it for even major bugs like the bolts lose on, or the MIAB one or the rafts loss, the list is countless! I will not update untill an update that will fix the bolts problem comes out, after all Marco gives only stupid money and flowers. Oh and I might end up completing the clockwork smurf with the rafts since I already got 2 pieces for free thanks to it
Lots of bugs. Lost 68 bolts. Cannot touch palm trees to plant only way is to use the 10 berry upgrade on wild smurf to plant all. Cannot move custimized houses without loosing customization. These bugs are so obvious it makes me wonder if they test at all!
I lost 88 bolts. Someone just said they moved the customized hut without any problem. I haven't tried it but will try it later tonight when I get home.
For the palm tree, you have to touch them near the ground. It took me a few tries for the first one, but once you've found the place, it's quite easy.

I didn't even lose the bolts for clockwork! Probably a lucky day I guess.
Ok, I decided to be the guinea pig… I moved one of my newly customised huts and…. nothing happened! It stayed completely intact so I moved another one and again no problems. Customisation stayed OK, nothing disappeared. To be sure I quit the island, quit the app and turned my iPad off and back on all with no effect – my customised houses have stayed customised. So, no gurantees but looks like maybe the bug is fixed.

Also everything now takes forever to complete without berries. Getting frustrating that beeline only wants us to waist money on berries. I may be done with smurfs and I have played since first day it came out.

I need to move some huts around on the island to make room for the soccer field but I can't.
The only issue I am having is the lost customization blueprint for the straw balcony. I am able to move custom houses with out issue.

I am also the guy that reported the issue first to beeline last night on their forum.
I just read that someone moved the customized hut without any problem. I haven't tried it myself so I dont know who to believe . I'll try it later when I get home from work.
Updated last night, got a free bolt and a friend left me a bolt. 8 of 20 already with 4 parts completed. No clockwork tab at the top, had a message in a bottle, opened it up my clockwork progress tab appeared. Showed 0 of 50 needed and still had my 4 of 10. I lost bolts and they tacked on another 30 for my next tier. I’m calling it quits on this game, none of the bug fixes seem to have been fixed, and I’m losing smurfberries to quests that never seem to come to fruition.

Your was nothing. I was 88/90 completed and only needed 2 more. After the update, it set to 0/90 . So I lost 88 bolts .

Me too. So frustrating. It has now become a bit of a joke. Get all of these bolts and then we will take them off you.
I experienced something else. Am at a village with no MIAB at all ever appearing so would not know how a totem pole looks like even. However – one washed ashore earlier pre update and gave me the blueprint start of the clockwork smurf. So far no luck with collecting since I do not do "friends". However with the next update the blueprint was gone but a bottle washed ashore and again the blueprint was there. Now I will have to send out rafts to collect "wood" – they are 24 hour rafts so will take long time assuming one does *get* wood at all (my rafts often come back empty defying the statistics) and I have only three. Will keep you posted.

Sporty Smurf looks good but where on earth am I supposed to fit his football pitch??? The island isn't exactly roomy… Beeline could have given us an expansion to go with him! Does anyone know if the 'move it, you lose it' bug on customised houses has been fixed cos I'm going to need to do some serious rearrangement!

The equipments and decoration are just for bonus reward. So, no need to waste them if you don't want to
Yes but it's so cute on the island there should be quest or a raft option to get the pieces for the field, I love soccer so this is so cool to me. I'm level 47 and I just won a $25 iTunes gift card at work, so I'm waiting till it is in my possession to go smurfberries crazy lol!
Since the previous upgrade my friends have left me gifts and watered my plants but then nothing happens to them and my plants wither and my gifts are never recieved by me. Does anyone know why? Strating to lose patience with this now
Lots of people on this site have had this problem and the only solution seems to be to delete the app and reinstall it. This only works if you are on Game Center and you need to back up on iTunes first. If you search this site you will see lots of instructions from the admins. I was 2 months with the same problem as you but deleting and reinstalling worked for me. Good luck!
I wanted to gift seeds on my friends islans. E.g. Coconut but it says "need seeds from a friend" .how can I send those seeds at my friend?
By the way I lost 68 bolts by opening the MIB….I am just wondering if I will ever finish clockwork smurf…
You need to harvest a coconut crop first.

Sorry Dreamy it's me again. I just wanted to grow coconut on the island and it says "need seed from a friend" now I am totally confused. I cannot grow it and so I cannot send these seeds as a gift. The only seed I can plant is palm oil fruit. What shall I do?

I lost either 40 or 60 bolts when I updated
and now gifting seems to be a lot slower. Also I was hoping the crashing when visiting friends villages would have been fixed in this update.
I have this same problem when gifting too. Crashes constantly….. takes over an hour to gift 59 friends….what the heck?

I had the same problem…but haven't been able to do much gifting since the last update cuz friends have lost their blueprints or completed the update. I also lost a bunch of bolts when the update kicked in.
For the record, has anyone noticed anything new on the mainland? I looked in the build menu and it appears that in this update, the only addition to the mainland is lots of new quests.
The bugs I notice are with clockwork and the totem. Clockwork bolts reset to zero, but I didn't lose any pieces. Tapping the totem menu just shows one piece – nothing else.
Yes Clockwork bolts were resetted. There are also a few more custimizations in Handy's shop.
I lost all my blueprints in the architects menu, I had than open after receiving them on several raft voyagues, but now they appear again showing that they cost smurfburries as if I never had them.
Be patient. We are waiting Beeline to address this.
I too have lost hut blueprints! but now have the option of finding more blueprints!
I can no longer see how much time is left on my rafts that I had out before the update. Anyone else notice this?
I noticed that a number of my palm tree that I planted now have an icon of a smurf with a watering can and stars coming out of it and it says "by a friend" next to it. What does this mean?
I think this means a friend has watered your palm trees, and when it is time to harvest, you should see greater returns.

From what I can tell I didn't lose bolts when I clicked the bottle, rather it leveled me up. Example I had 32/70 but now I'm 0/80. So I guess in theory they gave me a free 38 bolts (difference of 70-32)
how can I find palm trees crop to finish Papa's smurf's request.

This is horrible, I did the update, knew not to touch the cursed bottle & now I am being told that I can no longer receive bolts who my friends who are tying to gift me (*says I don't have the blueprint) I am so close to completing clockwork smurf, this sucks!
Some people get their blots, some don't. Good thing that I already completed Clockwork Smurf!

thanks, I'm sure you weren't upsetting me intentionally, I was just feeling so stressed about having to tell my daughter when she came home from school that I broke her clockwork smurf quest. fyi I decided to try & click the miab & it seemed to restore my blueprint(I think) I have gotten 1 bolt since then, it did however change my count from only 45 to go to 0/100, I am hoping some more friends will update & try to gift me so I'll know for sure, but it is a HUGE relief to see the blueprint back on my island page, when it was missing I was feeling so gutted
Why don't you want to touch the bottle? It solved my problem for clockwork: I got the blueprint back and all the pieces I already had.
by pressing the bottle people are having problems with their bolt count. I was on my last needed piece & only needed 45 to complete, once I pressed I then needed 100 to complete, but that is way better than completely losing all my bolts/blueprint & clockwork smurf

I love the update i only got a miab i opend it there was a blueprint in it it asked do you want too see it so i tapped yes instead of not now then this popup Message dissapeared and also the miab any one else with this problem?
That's normal, it's for the people who didn't have the Clockwork blueprint I guess.
Solid update with lots of new quests!
Sporty's soccer games are fun, but would have been nice for player who don't purchase smurf berries to have an option to purchase the stadium upgrades with gold. Hopefully there will be an update soon to allow more island space because I am quickly running out of room now with Sporty's stadium.
The new palm tree seeds were a great add on, but I would have prefered that Wild Smurf allowed you to plant and harvet all crops at one time instead of palm trees.
Make sure to check for the bottle that washed up because it contained all of my blueprints. Some of the new hut customization blueprints should be fun to unlock.
Why can't I do the blueprint anymore?
The blueprint is in the MIAB, but some users said they lost blots and some said they have their blots after clicking on the MIAB (without exclamtion mark)
I am waiting for the soccer field to build but I need to get rid of some of my huts to make room. Does the glitz were you can delete huts still work on the island or did they fix it?
If you have 25 smurfberries to spare you can buy 30% more space for your island under the star menu.

The unintended feature where the houses could be deleted on the island was fixed with the 1.2.0 upgrade.
After update my MIAB appeared, said something about checking my blueprint for clockwork smurf and when I did I found that I had lost bolts – before update it said I had x out of 30 (I can't remember how many, but I have 2 feet and a leg and was well on my way to the next bit), after update it said 0 out of 40! The "found" bolts are still there, it is the gifted bolts that have gone. Then MIAB disappeared. So i cant touch it to recover bolts as some have suggested. Also I can't gift friends who have not updated…

Wild Smurf can "Harvest All" palms of any kind of seeds. You can buy his "Plant All" function by 10 SBs, also for all kinds of seeds. He also boosts their rewards.

In order to give seeds you need to harvest the flower/crop first.
Im talking about palms seeds… Acai berries or dates…
If you dont have wild smurf, you need to harvest them first before you can gift them to neighbors. It works like nat/flowers on main land.
How to do the quest 'find some stone' ?
I think you should send a "Stone Voyage" Raft for 24 Hours (the name can be found under the map)

Did you touch the MIAB? Many people said it worked and their Blue Prints and Blots returned. If it didn't work try contacting Beeline: support@beeline-i.com

I updated. And just working the mission from clockwork now…
After opening the MIB my bolts were gone and the bottle disappeared. So I can start again with the part I was collecting bolts for.
That is the first bug of this update I guess.
This update has as usual many bugs.
My totem pole isn't working anymore. Even though I have all four pieces the display shows me, that I just have one piece.
Also, all friends on my friends list vanished. They are still on my GC Account, but not on my smurfs list anymore.
And yeah, lost all my bolts.
Hope I will see the day of an update without any bug. xD
-I noticed the totem Pole bug I can't control rain but I have all pieces appearing
-I don't think there is a bug in the neighbours list. I can visit my friends' villages but some people reported that they can't receive their friends gifts
-Also, many people complained about losing their bolts, it might be a bug but try touching the MIAB (it will appear without exclamation mark), Some people said this returned their bolts

Hi Nishiki and Farmer_Smurf. I too have had the same bug. I was on clockwork piece 8, and only had 6 more bolts to get to 9, then I clicked on the MIAB that appeared with no exclamation point, and my clockwork piece has gone back down to 7. So I have lost about 100 bolts and a clockwork piece
As well, I can't gift bolts to my friends if they have not updated the app.
I have sent an email to beeline and am waiting on a reply
If anyone is my friend on GC (GC ID: mikepaddles) I'm going to delete everyone, except for the people I know gift everyday, and start again. I have over 80 friends, have have been getting less than 20 gifts over a 24hr period. It takes me nearly an hour to gift everyone, and I'm not going to waste my time gifting people that dnt gift back.
If you are someone that does gift me everyday that might be a "someone", please let me know and I won't delete you
Hi mikepaddles. I also lost some bolts after updating the game, but it was just a little.I´m just waiting for an update without bugs !
The "friends"-problem: I have over 60 friends but only 40-50% make gifts. So for the next 2-3 days I will check my list and will delete the non-gifts. It´s annoying gifting every day and receiving less than half !!
So I hope we will stay friends in SV for the future !

It's annoying when you get the "someone" gift cos you don't know who it is. I definately gift everyday around 7-8 pm Australian time, and I always put the gift right next to architects house
How can you tell if people are giving you gifts?
You should see a gift and if you're connected with GC or fb you can see the name.
I am connected through GC, but have never seen a name by a gift

Has anyone else had their MIAB dissapear? I got it this arvo and it told me to send out 1 raft for an hour, which I did no problems, then it told me to plant 41 crops of tomatoes, which I'm in the middle of doing, but the bottle has just dissapeared???

Check that you can actually see your neighbour in your village neighbour list and hat you don't have the message that you are not onncted.
By being careful to check everything is connected before opening gifts, I reduce the number of "someone" (only 1 today)

Hi! Can you tell me where the palm tree crops to plant are? Papa smurf gives the quest to plant one but i cant find palm tree crops anywhere in the different menus. thank you!
Also about Clockwork i also thought i had lost it because it didnt appear below the status bar anymore but then there was a bottle from the MIAB in the water without the exclamation point and when i clicked on it it gave me back the blueprints and parts i already had so maybe the players who reported this havent lost everything…
The Palm trees aren't in the shop they can be found on the island. Do you know the palms that can't move they are the same just click on the bottom of the palms and plant them. Hope you liked the update. Comment if you have any comments. I am not sure about the number of them but there are 5 on the first part and 4 in the part that can be expanded with a Dam. (I have a fully expanded island)
Thanks so much! So used to schemy quests we forget it can be that simple! I have 3 palm trees in the first part and 2 past the dam.
As for the update, so far i really like it! Im not experiencing any bug but waiting for the soccer field to be finished to be sure. I also really like getting lots of quests at the same time and from others than just papa smurf whose quests tend to be a bit repetitive…and im only level 32 so still a long way til i get to the new 47 and im really glad since that means many more hours of playing with the smurfs!

One of my palm trees disappeared and I only have 8 total. Is there anything that can be done to get the missing palm back. When it first disappeared, it was not a big deal, but now I feel I am missing something everyone else has. It disappeared when I placed a house too close to it back when the island was first available.
Actually, I can't do anything but I have some steps that will cause some loss in your Village, this way only works if you don't use the TIME CHEAT
1. Go to the option menu
2. You can see Papa Smurf face beside the "Restart Game" option
3. Tap on his Hat or Head (not sure) 16 times (maybe it wont work with 16 times), Tap more if it didn't work
4. A "recover village" will appear, Click it
5. Now preview the day before you lost the palm (guess the closest date then choose the right one)
BEWARE: ALL THINGS YOU GOT AFTER THE DATE YOU CHOSE WILL DISAPPEAR (including smurfberries, level, gold, etc.)
remember that this steps are for you if you don't use the time cheat

It is not exactly a mission, Maybe you'll be asked by Papa Smurf to build it. But you can find Sporty Smurf when you buy his soccer stadium that is available on the island store for 5000 gold, needs 24 hours to be built. The stadium is on the left of Snappy Smurfling Hut and as Brainy said it is only available on the island.

Annoying, but If you have good friends, it won't take long to get the bolts back. I have already got my 80 back today thanks to my awesome smurfy friends.

Yes you get the xp and coins which you have allready. I do so if my Friends helped and i have more than they are, if they are ready.

Same thing, after update MIAB gave me a blueprint, but the first quest was only half finished so 3 Smurf’s are missing. I hope that they will reappear after the quest should have finished, in about 5 hours.

One of my friends has 16 palm trees
Fortunately, I have all my Smurfs, rafts, bolts, etc.. The only bug I've had (so far) is the mission of the bottle. So I prefer to wait for the next update

I got clockwork blueprint, but I never got back the customisation blueprints for the mushroom that I lost in the update…. Do you think there is a chance we'll get them back?
I tried to restore my village using the above instructions. The village that came up in the preview was the village that had my correct level (31), numbers of smurf berries and gold. However, ALL my houses, gardens, logs, trees, EVERYTHING is gone!!!
How can I get someone to restore my village using Monday's backup? Don't tell me to go to restore because the only dates are 6/6 and 6/7. I need dates prior to that and they are not listed.

I had the same problem as Greg, I turn airplane mode on and it worked.
But when I turn airplane mode off, the app doesn't work again.
Do I have to turn on and off the airplane mode every time I want to get the app?
If you are using game center to launch the game, then the last option is delete then install the game again. Make sure you back up your device to itune before deleting the app. Do not delete the app if you are not using game center.

Same thing happens to me from 4 days ago. Since i m not the only one i m glad nothing its wrong with my divice. Will be nice if they fix this problem.
Tap Pappa Smurf 25 times under the Options and Then a Recovery button will pop up in the lower right. Then click the version that you want to go to. It saves automatically everyday. Hope this helps.

the airplane mode.. but what if i turn it off?? does this mean my app wont work then 
turn on airplane mode is a temporary workaround for you get to your village.
