Version 1.2.0 is live for Apple iOS users

Shortly after the android edition was released Beeline has surprised again its iOS fans by releasing a new update 1.2.0. The new update wasn’t expected to be this week but it was a good surprise for the game players. This update is mainly was made to give a new look to the village huts, this can be made by Handy who will be trained by Architect Smurf, where he will be able to customize windows’ huts, doors, chimneys and much more. In order to get Architect smurf Papa smurf will ask you to build its hut which will be available in the island. But this will require blueprints. In addition to that Clockwork Smurf will be also introduced to the village and will be available on the island.

Please note:

The blueprint should be viewable through Handy or Architect Smurf's build menu.
And where is that menu, I can' t find them?

the blueprint disappeared into handy hut. But you can't view the blueprint in handy hut until you upgrade handy hut through 5 papa quests on main land.

Yes, it is the same thing.
I've got blueprint from Marco, same as Krisztine above. It also diapered into nowhere. There is nothing new in Handy's menu, only his boring mini game. Hope that Architect will solve this problem
No, u have to do 5 papa quests on main land to upgrade handy hut first before you can see blueprints collected as well as building architect on island

Another question though: Neighbor sent me wood (one of those new gifts) but it turned into red potion when I've opened it. Gift was left in Main Village. What is that about?
There is a glitch with the gifting issue. We can only wait for Beeline's next update to fix this.
My level percentage is all messed up. Was at 98% until update. Now the numbers run off the info screen.

Beeline has said this is a bug that affects high end level players and they will try to fix it asap.
This happened to me too. What I did was to restore my village. I have lost some progress – but hey – at least I know that I am progressing now. My percentage level went back to normal (ie. 52%) after I restored my village.

How do you complete the quest send a raft to a Stone Voyage?
If you see the menu, you will know you need architect smurf for that. I haven't tried it myself, but I believe it means you will get stones upon the smurf's voyage return.
Thanks. I have completed the quest. Once you have clockwork smurf 4 raft voyages are added – blue print voyage, stone voyage, wood voyage and dye voyage. Smurfs traveling to these voyages will be away for 24 hours but will return with a gift depending where you’re from. I’ve sent a smurf on a stone voyage so I got a gift of stones. You all need these 3 elements to customise your huts!
Man why does every beeline release have to be absolutely loaded with bugs? They seem to have a lot of creative talent, but lack in technical ability. i.e. great ideas, poor execution.
Anyway, here are a couple more bugs I noticed:
1. Jokey had an exclamation. I tapped him and he said something about blackcurrents. Seemed to be in the middle of a dialog with papa smurf, but after tapping to see papa's response, the window closed and no more quest from Jokey.
2. Smurfette repeated the frog quest even though I had already done it. Not bad as it was some easy XP.
3. Scardy no longer has an exclamation. So I wonder if he'll stop giving xp every night?
4. Of course as mentioned the game is S L O O O O O O O W!
I agree with some of your points, but not all. I got the Jokey's blackcurrant dialog and Smurfette's repeat of the frog quest. I believe those were intentional, to show they have fixed the bug, though we can't be sure. However, Scaredy smurf does still give xp at night. Is your effects turned on? And yes, the gameplay in the Main village is very laggy and slow. On the island, it is pretty ok.
Quite right – my "scardy" is scared again. Maybe it was just too early in the AM for the Exclamation point. So all in all, I think the bugs this time around aren't too bad – save for the super slowness. I'm at level 42 and have a ton of crops and it takes forever to harvest and plant – even with farmer.

It seems this version has many problems. I am on level 42 and don't want to lose my village, does it worth updating to this version or wait for the next one until the developer fixes the progress bar problem?
Not all high level players are affected by this bug. I, for one, am at level 44, is not affected. However, the gameplay in the main village has become extremely laggy and slow. It is your choice of whether to wait it out till the next update(it could be as long as 6 to 7 weeks from now, or it could be within 1 to 2 weeks).
I'm thinking of waiting. I'm almost at level 41. When beeline comes right out and says there is a bug and will try to fix it asap, that worries me. So I think I'll wait…which disappoints me a bit as the one bug I had was that I never had the Message in a Bottle Quests, so was hoping to get that fixed.
U can do full backup (not sync) device to itune before upgrading. I always backup before the update.
If u dont upgrade, you will fall behind in quests and wont be able to gift anybody.
once updated, there's a "!" sign on top of jokey head, n he talk bout "20 crops of blackcurrents" then convo cut short… is it a glitch?
I believe that dialog will go away. No quest there.
I got one quest from Papa Smurf on the island, and after that was done he wants me to build Architects Hut. But I did not get Handy's hut, so how is it possible? Some sort of bug?
You have to build Handy's hut back in the main village. He can be bought in the build menu for 500 coins. Without him, you can't also upgrade your existing Smurf mushroom houses.
But I got Handy since long ago in the main village, of course I do. Doesn’t help the island. But the 5 quests you’re talking about, that’s 5 quests in the MAIN VILLAGE? ‘Cause it’s quite confusing that quests in Main village can lead to something on the Island.
Yes its maybe confusing but thats the way it is you need to answer the 5 questions in teh main village to upgrade handys Hut so you can buy Architects hut
When Papa Smurf's asks 5 questions?
It involves the sending of smurfs into the forest 5 times to look for Handy's blueprints.
if the architect house requires the hut shop,..and then the hut shop requires to complete the 5quests,how can brainy give the quest if he's requiring to build the architect house?its a little complicated..please help!
That is why you need to complete the quests in the main village first before you go to the island to build architect smurf's house.
This unfortunately doesn’t work. While previewing the village to restore, it looks fine (0% progress, but the rest is correct), but once restored, it goes back to the exactly same problematic state. Since the progress showed 0% (after having built architect’s hut), I very much doubt one can level up at all.
Does anyone know the value of the new gifts? I have gifted "dyes" but I don't even know what that is for. There is also stone and wood. What are they for?
These are materials required by Handy Smurf or Architect Smurf to help you customize your existing mushroom houses the way you want. They don't give xp or coins, just add to your existing resources.
wow, running REALLY slowly on iPod Touch.
It's great you can change the look of your smurf huts now but the price to do so with smurfberries for the supplies is outrageous. Not one option to do with coins. Regret paying to speed up requests to find this out.
I agree with you, there are not many things you can buy with coins (and I have so many!!) but you have to use smurfberries and more smurfberries. It's getting ridiculously expensive!

Are you above level 29? If so, you may be experiencing the latest bug, which Beeline said they will try to fix it asap.

And you havent cheated and change the clock ? Because if you have done that you dont receive any gifts from yokey for a long time

After updated the game I got hut blueprint from Marco. I push "the view now" button. I did not do anythin, just saw what it could be . I closed that, and since than i could not find it anymore. I thought that Marco smurf has a question mark and through that i can go back, but not. So can anybody help me to find the blueprint again?
Ok I just found Marco and got blue prints off him what now?
It gives you the option of customizing your mushroom house to that blueprint.

Im on level 33 and ive completed all of papa smurfs quests in the main village for this new update but how do i get Architect smurfs hut? On the island papa smurf is asking me to build it but i cant find it in my menu either on the island or in the main village.

Am i looking in the wrong place? But it has let me build Handys hut on the island (but before completing the quests in the main village it said i needed Architect smurf) really confused.

You shouldn't be able to build Handy Smurf on the island. What you need to do is to finish Papa Smurf's quests to upgrade Handy Smurf's hut, and then you can build Architect Smurf's house.
Glitch
Received a gift from Marco. A sort of scroll. By clicking it opened a new menu with blueprints and other stuff. After closing it i cant find it anymore. I think Its the menu you ll get in the end from handy or architect.
I have a problem!! Before the update I was on level 29 with 32% of xp, after that I had 0% xp! What I can do? Someone can help me, please? Thank you!

I received the blue print as a gift from Marco smurf, but didn't have enough rocks and wood to make the new roof. After closing the blueprint, how do I open it again?
That blueprint only looked up the ability to buy the new roof with items instead of sb
So once I've got access to the new menu for customization of huts, how do I get the wood, stones and potion required to build the new changes to my huts. Do we have to spend more money to buy them with Smurf berries……. Because this game is getting too expensive!

You can also send out rafts for supplies
So I updated the game and the whole thing crashed and asked me to recover from a “web saved” village or my game center account village. I used the game center version but papa smuf won’t give me anything pertaining to Architect Smurf. Did something go seriously wrong?
Sometimes it can take some time before you get the new questions from papa smurf and sometimes you even have to be on a specific level to get them
If it only restore the data and not the update? What’s the point of updating to newer version? Should I wait for the next update?
I think this update is the worse updates of all. Same old problem, slow and glitches, and MIAB quest is still yet to be seen in my island. I wonder when can I see the bottle? Honestly, i am kinda regret to update to this 1.2.0

You can do it through gifting…but only on the island.
It says you can send bolts to friends to help build the clockwork smurf, how? There is nothing in gifts.
You can only give the bolts for a gift on the island not in the main village

Im experiencing the same problem on the progress bar. You suggested to other players to restore the village but then wouldnt we lose the new update?
Or if i choose to keep playing do you know if i would still be able to level up (since the progress bar is full theres no way of telling…)? Thanks!
If the first papa quest is to build Architect a house, how do I complete the 5 papa quests for opening Handy's hut to build Architect a house if I'm stuck with the first quest? I'm at level 36.
Or the papa quests you are referring to are in the village and not in the island? It's a bit confusing how to make this work

Marco sent me a blue print, I clicked on the buy options but nothing happened and I have no idea where the blue print has gone.
yes it went stright in the option on the handys menu for changing the roof top on one of the houses for items instead of buy it for sb

I'm at level 30 and Papa Smurf asks that I buy a lantern, which appears to be unavailable until level 34. This occurred before and after the new update. Will I need to wait for level 34 to start the Architect Smurf quests or is there a way around that? Thanks.

Architect Smurf sounds great. Papa Smurf has asked me to build his house but I need Handy's Hut Shop. Where do I get that? I can't find it anywhere. There is a storage hut for the island that costs smurfberries. Is that it? By the way, neither I, nor my partner or my kids have ever had a message in the bottle, even with all the updates. We are between Levels 28 and 34.

That is my quest. I am unable to build it unless I have Hand's Shack. I can't get Hand's shack until I do Pappa's quests. Do you see the circle?
All you have to do is to have Handy's shop, and then subsequently, once you finish Papa Smurf's quest, you will get to upgrade Handy's existing hut.

You aren't actually building it on the island. Papa will send you on around 5 quests. Once those are complete handy is updated and you can add architect smurf to the island.
Theres a bug. It says my % is 445180%. Im level 32, but im not going to be able to get to level 33 because of that. I was around 30% before the update.
I am past level 11 so how do I get the upgrade??

Yes, definitly a little laggy after installation. I simply rebooted my iPad and everything runs smoothly now. Great update, I’m really enjoying architect smurf!
By the way, you forgot to mention the new pink butterfly, fits perfectly next to Smurfette’s hut!

Try to rebot your device and se if that works. I know that this happend after an other update long time ago and Beeline fixed it that time

If beelin does not solve the problem of slowness when running the application, it must inform Apple of these drawbacks.
Fix problem in "days", no weeks.
It also slows down iPhone 3G.
I regret the update I did this morning. Input takes a long time to be recognized which leads to withered crops. Better I plant only long time lasting crops…

i cannot seem to find handys hut store even after completing the blueprints :s
I just updated my Smurfs village this morning. On the main village, there’s a streak horizontal line that appears near the status box. Also, the percentage progress if my level isn’t there, instead there’s several numbers listed.
On the island, there’s some partial graphics that appears in the water.
I tried deleting the game & reinstalling it, but these issues are still here. Please help.

The percentage bar is a bug that some high end level players face. Beeline has stated they will try to fix it asap.

Brainy, you are misunderstanding. Papa is asking you to buy architect Smurf. And therefore, there will be no quest for you to complete the handy shop.
It seems, I don't have golden corns and I tried many times before this new update but it never completed the quest and this mornig, with new update it was completed !

I’ve done all the quests on the new island and the olny quest left is papa smurf and his quest is to build architects house, however I cannot purchase the architects house without having purchased hands store and that item is not visible in the game.

I know how to restore my village, but I haven't done it straight after an update before. If I restore to yesterday (when it was previous version), how can I get to play version 1-2.0? Won't my App Store tell me the update is already installed?

No because you need to answer 5 question in the main village from papa smurf to upgrade Handys hut before you can buy architects hut
To avoid confusion, I suggest that everyone completes the 5 quests at the MAIN VILLAGE about Handy Smurf. Completing them will open the hut shop at the main village where you can customize the huts at the village. As soon as you can do that, go to the island to do the series of quests there until you are asked to build Architect Smurf’s hut. You can see that you will now be able to buy Archirect’s house with coins.
Once series of quests have been completed as above, Architect Smurf’s hut can be found on the island menu under the mushroom house tab. Scroll the way through until you see a purple hut.

yes i try it two device. i found marco tap to him and tap okey and back to the my villace. i saw the packece on screen and again tap. but he give me money and give a map. and anybody chance. papa smurf say college packace from jokey now.. please help i will give up this game….

Just adding more details on problems with my game – I am on level 39 and using current version 1.2.0.1. My missing raft came back when I upgraded to the current version, but I never received the MIAB up to now.
I wonder if there is a special requirement to trigger the MIAB or not? I checked my setting with my friends and every is similar but they are receiving the MIAB and i am not

There are no setting for MIAB and your level is way over the requirement. The only requirement is your device must be connected to internet.
Other than that, we dont really know why some people dont get MIAB

My iphone is connected to the internet but I noticed that when I try to connect to FB it cuts off and turns back to smurfvillage game. However I do receive all the promo sales such as baby smurf last weekend.

I do have the handy smurf in the main village and I am at level 39. But when papa asks me to add Architect to the island, it keeps telling me that Handy needs to open its store. I don't know how I can solve this.
First 2 pieces took me 10, 3rd piece 20, 4th piece 30 and 56h one will take me 40.
So not all pieces takes 40 bolts.
1st piece = 10 bolts
2nd piece = 15 bolts (maybe)
3rd piece = 20 bolts
4th piece = 30 bolts
5th piece = i dunno still need bolt for my 4th piece ^_^

I have been having the same problem I haven’t been able to acces my village for a week now because the app closes I have tried rebooting my iphone, but it ddnt work, am scared to delete and install it again just incase I lose my progress
That’s what I’am trying to do bunny wait for the new update because I have rebooted, reinstall the app but it does the same when I recover my game, so hopefully it will work with the new update.
If you are using game center to launch the game, you can reinstall the game without losing your village.
Always backup your device to itune just in case you need to restore it. Google itune backup if you dont know how to do it . Its very easy and you need a PC.
Awww brainy I have done what you said back-up and reinstall it when I open the game it gives me an option to preview new level 1 and my original level 33, every time I preview or say I want to use my village it closes the app and it doesn’t when I chose to preview level 1 village,
I noticed this problem first happened since building the heart shaped mushroom house. I dnt want to start over

I haven't tried reinstalling the game …. I am thinking of waiting for the next update…. Really scared of losing my levels , I spent quite a lot on smurfberries and don't want to take the risk… Installing update is the same as installing the game all over again, isn't it?
Since I can't open the game, if I back up the game now, wouldn't it be the same, I mean the game still won't open?

That's what I mean. Since The app is corrupted and it's too late to backup (my last saved level was 37 or 38 and I just bought smurfberries), restoring seems doesn't make any difference, I might just wait for the update to come out hoping my village can be re-opened after update.
I had to do that quest 3 times before it worked for some wierd reason.

I updated my app but am having the same problem still, I don’t know if it’s my phone, I rebooted, deleted the app and reinstall still same problem when it asks me to recover my online saved game, and I click preview or use this village it does the same thing, it seems that my actual village is the problem because if I preview the level 1 the app does not close, I don’t if I should start over, but I would have wasted all the money that i hsve ever bought smurfberries with, I just don’t have the heart to start over an still hoping that it might work, pleaser help if there are any other suggestions
How many rafts and for how long?
@Brainy – how long did you send yours out for, how many did you send out at once, and did you come back with a gift of some sort (did you come back with actual wood from the expedition?) I have sent out six rafts (2 at a time) for 30 seconds, 5 minutes, and one hour, with the "hit rate" of getting something at a normal rate — those attempts have not worked to satisfy this quest. Your guidance would be great – thanks!

Mine didn't work too after the update… ended up delete the app and reinstall the app… then it works fine…… after you delete the app from ipad, it will ask if you want to detele the data from game centre… you have to keep data in game centre and don;t remove it… otherwise you won't be able to recover it…..try to recover your village from itune and see how it goes……

Just to be sure… After backing up, remove from iPhone, plug back into iTunes and reinstall? Beeline told me not to remove the app, so I'm a bit nervous. And this site is awesome for help especially when Beeline can't!
