ByAll of your friends on Facebook and GameCenter who are playing Smurfs village Game appear as your neighbours if you are logged into those services and have connected their village to it.
Adding friends using Facebook
To add friends on Facebook, just go to their profile and click on the button “Add as friend” next to their name. If you do not know the person personally, it is a good idea to send them a message with your friend request stating that you want them to be your neighbour in the Smurfsvillage Game so they know why you are requesting their friendship. Once the request has been accepted the person will automatically appear as your neighbour in the game (as long as your are logged into Facebook).
Adding friends using GameCenter
Another way to add neighbours is doing it through GameCenter. Many people prefer that method, because with GameCenter they do not have to give random people access to their Facebook profile just to have them as neighbours in the game.
GameCenter is not available on all iDevices (Apple’s mobile devices). To run GameCenter, your device must have at least the software version 4.0 (iOS 4.0) and be either an iPod touch 2nd generation or higher, an iPhone 3Gs or higher or an iPad. For more information on GameCenter, see Apples page here: http://www.apple.com/game-center/.
If you cannot find the GameCenter icon, just search for Game Center on your device by swiping from the first page to the Home Screen to the right and type GameCenter into the search window as it can be seen in the image below. If you cannot find it, plug your device into iTunes and see which iOS version you have and if a new version is available, do the update. When your device is up to date and supports Game Center it will automatically be installed.
Now open GameCenter and either log into it with your iTunes Account or create a new account. The username is your email address. After you have entered your credentials, press Sign In
If you do not yet have a Game Center ID, click on “Create a New Account” and follow the instructions. You have to choose a nickname. The nickname will be the name of your village and how others can see you (for example on highscore lists). If you want others to add you as their friends, you have to give them the nickname you have chosen before. The name you enter will only be visible by your friends.
Once you are logged in, tap on the “Friends” button at the bottom, and then on the “+” Symbol in the top right corner. There you can add the nicknames of the friends you want to send a request to, a message for them (standard message is … would like to be your friend). Click “send” and your request will be send instantly, if there is a problem with the nickname (for example a typing mistake) you will be informed immediately as well. As soon as the request is accepted, you get a confirmation message and they will show up in your friend list.
If you click on the “Request” button on the bottom you can see all requests that have been send to you and either accept or ignore them.
NOTE: You can only add players playing on the same platform because Android and Apple neighbors are not compatible. You can post add neighbor here with your GC id. What do you mean you are unable to? You can only send bolts on a friend's island. Have you done that? Also, if your friend has already completed Clockwork Smurf, then you can't send bolts either.

On android, you use Facebook to add friends. If you play on iOS, you use Game Center ids to add friends.

It doesnt have to be your WiFi its wrong with. There have been a lot of problems with the friend server for android wait and se if its get better.

The medal tells you Marco is in that village. Go into that village, find him and tap on him. Once you found him, go back to your village and he will give you a gift.

Ive been smurfing for a few months now. Love the little guys. So I reactivated my facebook to add friends and smurf on a bigger screen. I have an Evo Android. But when I try to go to the Facebook link it says error page not found.. I'm not sure what to do and would really appreciate some help if anyone has some advice.
Is there any other way for android users to add friends without using facebook? I don’t want to spam my FB friends with invites and I have some people I want to add on smurfs that I don’t want on my FB.
No, there is no other way than Facebook. However, you do not have to send your friends invites, if they play the game on Android they will just show up as your neighbours, you do not need to send them requests etc. as it is with other Facebook games. You can also just create a second Facebook Account that you use only for this game if you prefer not to mix it with your normal account.
My husband and I both play Smurfs Village on our Android tablets. We are both logged into facebook through our villages, but we are unable to become neighbors/friends in the game itself. We want ro be able to send each other items and visit each other’s village, but cannot seem to be able to do so. He had to download his game through Amazon Appstore, and I have mine through GooglePlaystore. Does that make a difference or should we still be able to be friends and neighbors in the game??
It is my understanding that Android players regardless of device should be able to network with each other. There was a server outage this past weekend, so if you were trying throughput the weekend, it may have been the problem. Ok, so I’m logged into game centre on my iPad and I’ve just convinced my friends to get Smurfs village on their iPods. I’ve got them as friends on game centre and on game centre it says that they both have smurfs village, yet when I go onto my friends map they don’t show up, it just says searching for friends in the top left corner, and this doesn’t change. How can I fix this so that I can see their villages? Please help, I need friend’s villages to appear so I can fully use MarconSmurf and get his gifts and XP.
On another note which may or may not be related, but when I go onto my game centre account and go to the scores area, it has several options such as Snails, Caterpillars, etc. I have two of these yet this doesn’t appear in here as my score, this isn’t a major concern, and I don’t really care for this feature, but it maybe linked to my main issue.

I play Smurf Village on my Android phone and so do two of my friends (one of them has an Android and one of them has an iphone). I am already facebook friends with both of these people and we are all signed into facebook through Smurf Village, but we can't see each other in Smurf Village. I clicked "Invite Friends" and it posted on my facebook wall, but there is no where for my friends to add me as a friend in Smurf Village. What do I need to do to add them?

Your village gets your name from your Game Center ID. Have you logged into your Account and set a nickname?

You can find many neighbours on the game's facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/SmurfsVillage . There many people post their Game Center ID's or ask to be added via Facebook, but make sure that you add those people using Android, as you will not be able to connect to the iOS users.
is it possible to invite friends via GC with my android phone? i dont have facebook so thats not an option.
Game Center is Apple iOS only. On Android the only way to connect with other people is using Facebook.

Game Center is a gaming plattform developed by apple, so i doubt that this will ever happen. it is possible that Android will get something similar to game center in the future, but I do not know about it, for now the only thing you can do is use Facebook or not connect to neighbours at all.

how do i tie my village to the game center? i want to have my game backed-up and add some friends.it used to ask me but now it doesn't. is it because i always chose the option "no" till now?
Log into your Game Center Account, then when you open the Game, after a couple of seconds there should be a message like "Welcome Back, XXX!". If that happens you are tied to Game Center. The question does not need to come up everytime. To get the game to sync with Game Center, you have to play a while on your game (maybe 2-3 minutes), playing means moving some items, maybe deleting or placing new items. If you are connected to GC and have Internet connection that will force a synchonisation.
I think it is bull crap that I can't play this game with my wife because dug has a crappy iPhone and I have z superior Droid. Please fix this problem
We are not Beeline and hence can not fix anything. But Beeline has said they are thinking about changing this, but if it happens, it will be a long while down the road and not in the forseeable future.
Note for Android users; There is a bug on that Smurfs village only looks at the first 20 FB users (sorted but FB ID number). If those first 20 FB users do not play SV than you will not be able to see any friends.

i have an iphone 3gs and a friend of mine as a samsung galaxy but when i try to invite her nothing happens, she doesn't receive any requests, when she clicks my link she gets redirected to the app store…

I have done everything correctly. I have android on my galaxy S. I am on facebook & have gone to the facebook link n made friend requests. I have accepted a few plus I already have friends that are playing. But I still have no neighbors! This is driving me nuts its been 2 weeks I have been trying to figure this out. Now I know they are on the android platform. Not sure if this could be an issue but when I go to options I s ee I am logged into facebook, but when I go to see featured villages I get a check connection or I am not logged into facebook error. My connection is great and I am logged into FB. I can visit random villages though (sometimes) without getting the message.
There have been and still are lots of server issues that cause friends to not show up or things like you getting the "No connection" error. Go to the Options menu and make sure you show up as logged in there (if not, log in). I have an Android and when I go to Facebook to try and add friends I can't. There is nowhere to add a friend or the game itself to facebook. The article to add friends says you have to add them as a friend to facebook but doesn't say how to add friends already on facebook as a friend for Smurf Village. The only thing it does is show the "join me on smurf village" in your post but when you click on it, it just takes you to the website. Does anyone know what to do to add friends?
You have to go to the facebook website and then to the profile of the person you want to add. There click on the "Add as friend" button and a request will be send to that person. If you have already friends playing the game and they are using the same plattform (i.e. a mix of Android and iOS is not possible) they should automatically appear on your neighbours list after you logged into Facebook from the Options – Manage Friends menu

You can only connect to people who play the game on Android as well, cross-plattform connection (i.e. ios and android) is not possible.

Because the Android and the iOS plattform are very different (different programming languages etc.) and that means that villages written for the iOS plattform do not show on Android and vice versa.
I would have to disagree, being a developer myself, it is very easy to integrate a simple data send and fetch on each client that runs to a database, this can be simply the layout of the village with current timers on build progress as well as the time that it is saved (server), sent perhaps every 5-10 minutes (you can also implement a check every time that it saves, that the client's timer hasn't been messed with and if it has, reset the player to where they SHOULD be). Each client would then simply grab the data from the database about the village layout and the timer status (check progress vs time the data was saved, this will allow the client to tell whether crops need watering or not).
It is not difficult, by any stretch of the imagination, to have both versions reading from the same database data. They should definitely be able to communicate with each other, there is no real reason, besides lack of effort and willingness, to provide such functionality.
I do not doubt that it is possible, it might even be something that will come in the feature, but until the latest update the Android version was far behind the iOS version (as it was released about a year after the iOS version) and I think the Android team had enough to do to catch the versions up.
What I said about the plattforms being different is what the developers of Beeline said on their support forum is the reason why it is not working at the moment.
My village is appeared in both GC account and FB account (sometimes both village is same, sometime is different), and it confuses my friends. How to solve this?
You can solve this by only using one service. Deside whether you want to use Facebook or Game Center, then add the friends from the service you do not wish to use to the other one and log out of either Facebook and Game Center. Other than that, if you use both your village will appear in both and might not always be in sync.

Okay, I started playing the Smurfs about a year ago, I played for awhile and then I took a break from it. When I first started the game it wasn't all that important to have friends but now it seems they have incorporated in a few aspects that make having friends important. None of my Facebook friends play the Smurfs, I'm wondering if anyone is interested in adding me as a friend?
We do not allow "adding" inquieries here, but just go to the apps facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/SmurfsVillage?sk=wall&… ), there are lots of people asking to be added. Either post there or just add the people asking to be neighbours.
my village is not under my Game Center (got the Game Center after the Smurf game), if I log in to the game center, I have to start over. Is there anyway to transfer my current village to my game center?

You have to request friends from the Facebook Page, you can not do it via the game. You will only see friends that are playing the game and are using android as well.
What about the beach and seasonal updates? Do you have a time frame for that?
No, Beeline has not released any information regarding a new update for Android nor what this might include.

If you have your iPad backed up via iTunes/iCloud or had your village connected to Game Center, then you can continue your old village from the last save points, otherwise you have to start over.
I´m having lots of trouble trying to visit other villages. My connectiont to internet is very good, but most of the times the same "oops!" sing.
There are still issues with visiting friends and receiving gifts/water from neighbours. Beeline is working on it, but there is nothing you can do about it at the moment.

You can't, at least not at the moment. on iOS you will only see other iOS villages and on Android it is the same because they are different systems and not compatible at the moment
Hi im having trouble finding anyone at all, but iv understood there might be a server issue.
But is there any plan to join friends list between ios and android, and also soften out the differences in the 2 programs? I have plenty of friends with piods, but since I have a samsung galaxy s2 its not that fun to play when i cant join them. Hoping it would be fixed, cause it would be a lot more interesting as a game.
The differences between Android and iOS have nearly completly been removed since the Christmas Update for Android, as far as I am aware the only things that iOS has that Android does not yet have are Vanity and Painter Smurf. The developers said in their support forum that it is possible that they will someday make it possible for Android and iOS users to connect via the game, but if that is the case, it will be a long ways down the road, so I would not expect it sometime soon if at all.

You have to add the friends via Facebook, you can not add someone new via the game itself.

I would advice to contact Beeline (support@beeline-i.com) with your facebook problem. That the game is slow has to do with the latest update, Beeline suggest to update your device to the latest ios software available and if that does not help, you will probably have to wait for them to fix it
I accidently deleted a friend from my village and want them back. I also have 25 friends playing smurf village and only half showing. I would like to visit them all. if you could email me what to do on ***@hotmail.com
Also i think it would be a good idea if the frinds and neighbours were done like they do in farm story in the apps as its just so much easier to perform than it is in smurfs.

Go to Options – Manage Friends – and there tap on the space before the name of your friend, then he will be unbanished. The thing with the friends missing happens sometimes, they should reappear. If they do not, please contact beeline directly (support@beeline-i.com).
May eventually be useful to post the trick somewhere. I couldn't find a solution to my problem anywhere, and I'm kind of an expert googler. No Game Center guide seems to list the 'restriction' possible issues with adding friends, etc.

Yeah, I see that it gets updated in the Adding Neighbours section when we update the guide next time. No, we do not have a list, we always wanted to add one, but we have not been able to get around to it and we do not allow adding queries in the comment, because it would get confusing. That is great that it works now, I was actually running out of ideas myself, would just have suggested that you try getting added. But now everything should work fine.

Yes, I'm logged in. Was I not, I would have lost my dear village forever with the recent server problems. On the contrary, now I'm myself a 'friend' of Game Center, who saved me so bravely!
Just to be extra-sure, I went and checked my account setting. Everything fine, still no + button in the friend section. I even tried to re-boot my iPad, just because, well, when you run out of logical solutions you try with the illogical ones, right? Still no luck.
Maybe there's some setting in the general iOS setting panel I have to turn on or off?
I'm stuck with no friends and no way to add any. My Marco Smurf is so sad, lost forever in some neighborhoods I have no way to visit. Boo-hoo…

I had the very same problems, the very same loss, and eventually my day was saved by the online back-up with game center. I still have to understand how to add friends on Game Center though. I went through dozen of Game Center guides, yet the 'plus' button (aka 'add a friend' button) is just missing from my Game Center 'friends' screen. May be because I'm not a Facebook user in any way, or should I be able to look and find for friends on Game Center anyway?

Facebook and GameCenter are totally separate (GameCenter is Apple and Facebook, well Facebook). I have no idea why there should not be a + sign on your friends section, that is weird. Are you logged in when you go to the friends section? It is on the top right corner (iPhone and iPad with iOS <=4.3.5 and the top left corner with IOS 5). Also when you click on your account (Me section, click on the Email, then choose View Account and enter password), there is a button "Allow Game Invites". I always thought it was only for getting invitations, but maybe if it is turned off you can not add friends? Just check if it is off, maybe that is the problem.

Go to settings (on your device) then general, restrictions and as the bottom under Game Center, make sure adding friends is turned on.
after the recent update I am suffering from a peculiar problem. Sometimes…for hours my game opens up very slowly. Like after 5 mins of clicking. And it says that it can't connect to my game center server. So, I am not able to see any friends even after the game opens. My all other games can connect to game center server without any difficulty. I am about 15 friends in smurf village. Should I try to reduce friends? Please help.
First, please try the tips on this site: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/f-aq/crashing-app-… If that does not help, Beeline has released a statement saying that the problem with crashes (and lagging/connection issues) might be fixed if you update your device to iOS 4.3 If you have an older device and it says up to date with a lower ios version you might have to wait for a fix in the next update. If you use GameCenter, try to reinstall the Game, that helps sometimes. It has, however, nothing to do with the number of friends, there are people out there with hundreds of neighbours (I myself have about 70) and it still works fine
I have tried everything. I have ipod touch 4g. My current os version is 4.3.5. And everything was perfect before the latest update. The last thing I am going to try is reinstall the game. However it is extremely frustrating. But thanks a lot for all your help. You are doing a great job here. I will post update, if the problem is solved or not.
Beeline has released the following statement: "It looks like the Smurfs' Village server issues are going to take until tomorrow to resolve. During that time social functions won’t be available (gifting, watering flowers, etc…). However, the game should still start up, but it may take several minutes for Smurfs Village to load. We’ll be working on this issue through the weekend and we’ll update the community as we learn more. Sorry for all the frustration.". For me it works already, if it does not yet for you, just try in a couple of hours again, it should work soon
well reinstalling did not solve problem. rather i lost my village as it still can't connect to game centre server. Well i guess they don't want me to play and it is time to quit for me

I have deleted the game and reinstalled:( But have not deleted from game centre. Will I be able to get back on where I left previously when they will be done with fixing this issue ?
Yes, as soon as the online connection works again you will be asked to continue playing your Game that was saved online. For me it works again, so if you have not, just try if it does already work
I noticed that when i send gifts and leave my friends’ village, i can’t see my gift anymore when i return a few seconds later…does that mean that they didnt receive my gifts??
That is normal, it is the same when you water their flowers, if you come back the sign is still there. That is due to the way the online saved version works. Everytime the owner of a village opens the game and plays, the current version is saved online. If you enter it and leave the gift and go back, you still see it how it was last saved. Only when the owner enters the village again (and hence the online saved version gets updated) it will change. So do not worry, they still get their presents.
why does it only let me invite facebook friends what do i need to do =[
You can not really invite friends via the app (that is from within the game), you can just log into facebook and then all your friends that use the game should show up. If you want to add new friends you have to go to the facebook webpage and add the people manually as your firends.
I have some friends in the Game Center and I receive gifts but I can't see the friends'Villages in the map……could you help me?

It doesnt work for me. On the contrary. I deleted the village and it was start of my problems with seeing my friends. The only thing what worked was restore my iPad.
