Backing up the village and restoring a lost village
ByOnce the village is connected with Game Center, an online version of the current village is saved in nearly real time. Logging into that Game Center account on a different device or logging in again after a data loss makes it possible to restore the lost village, the app will ask weather to start a new village/continue the saved village or use the online saved version to restore to the device.
Both versions can be previewed and after that the correct one restored. This also enables the player to either play the game with the same village on two different devices or, by creating a second Game Center account, to have two different villages on one device.
If Game Center is not available for the device or a village has not been connected to it before some data got lost, it is possible to restore the village from a previous backup point. The game creates a backup once a day, a list of these backups can be found in a hidden feature.
After tapping on the small head of Papa Smurf found in the options menu for 16 times a “Recover Village” button appears at the bottom right side of the options menu. Clicking on that gives a list of the latest backups. The villages saved there can be previewed and, if needed, restored.
I was on level 26. I redownloaded my deleted game but can’t get back my old village even when I’m connected to game centre. What do I do to get back my village?
Before you deleted your game, were you synced to your game centre? Also, have you tried the Papa Smurf option? i.e , go to the game menu, tap options, then tap on Papa Smurf's head 16 times. A 'Recover Village' button should appear on the right hand corner. Tap on it and a list of saved games will appear in the next screen. From there, select your desired saved game, preview it and tap yes to confirm.
I tried that but when you select the desired game and preview it, it does not give me an option for yes to confirm. I only get a back arrow. I hit that then the whole game throws me out
Reboot your device and try it again.
Beeline says it knows about it and are "supposedly" working on it. Who knows if we'll ever get our villages back. My game kicks me out at the play menu and restore doesn't work as it also kicks me back to the home screen. I am level 25 and I'm on Android- Galaxy Nexus. I am not starting over so I moved to Tiny Farm.
android asus tf 101 – My game crashes every time i press "play". I backed up my village with the "app backup" app on my android but only after the crashing issue was happening. Does anyone know if I were to uninstall sv, then reinstall it, and then recover my village with my "app backup" app, will I fix this problem? Also, will I still have my smurfberries that i bought but did not use yet?
we dont know because we've never tried your method or reinstall app on android.
Without any backup, reinstalling the app will sure delete all your progress and u have to start from lv1 again with nothing.
Can I use the tapping papa smurf tactic after uninstalling and reinstalling the app? will my device retain some data it will recognize? im on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
I don't think you can recover your village once the app is deleted ….

Hey. i lost over half of my village. one day it just were gone. i have try’d everything but nothing works. i have alsow spend a lot of my money on the game. what can i do to get my village back?
This is the last option. if you are on apple and using game center, you can try to reinstall the game.
I have a samsung galaxy and when I went back to play I lost a heap of smurfs and berries. Tried the papa smurf tap thing and it didn't work. Any suggestions???

No, tapping papa smurf 16 times wont work on new device because the game data is still on your old device.
If you were using game center on old device, then all you need to do is use the same game center id on the new device. On the new device, the game starts at lv1, play for a little bit then game center will ask u to choose between local and server village. Pick server village.
If you were not using game center on old device then there is not thing to recover. All your game data is on old device .
i did a factory reset on my phone and smurf village was deleted. i downloaded it again and now it starts all over again. how do i recover my old village? i was at level 26.. please help me. i sent and email to beeline support but there has been no response yet.
There is no way to recover it unless you are on iphone and using game center.
After i installing a new android update, i lost all my application and my smurfs village also.

I am afraid there is nothing to recover because the android update deleted all your saved game data.
You said you had to reinstall the app. When you delete the game on android, it also deletes your game data.
Before lent I accidentally deleted my village, on my sister's I-pad, put the data back on game center and when i was on the game and it went back on level 1! I am so mad! I was on level 21.
if u r using game center, log out of game center and connect to game center again. If playing at lv1 for a little bit and game center will ask u to choose between local and server. Pick server level.
I have been playing Smurfs Village since it came out on a 1st gen ipod touch and don't have access to Gamecenter on my device. (Really old school, I know. But I take really good care of my gadgets..) I'm thinking of finally getting a new ipod touch/iphone, but I'd hate to think of how I'd lose my village and all my progress. I swear it's the only thing holding me back from making the switch. Is there a way for me not to lose my village if I change devices since I don't have an online backup?
The only way u can transfer the game from 1 device to another device is through game center because it saves the game level on game server which is independence of device.
I dont know of any other way. Sorry

Is your village connected with Game Center, then you can recover it.
i have been playing smurfs for a little while now and i got over to my island to do a quest but for some strange reason when i came back to my village to the quests there it will not allow me to go back over to my island?? why is this??
another thing is before i used to have 47 smurfs but my device is telling me that i now only have 14??

hi, while downloading the new ios update for my iphone 4, my smurf village got erased. i have pressed papa smurfs head 16 times and managed to find the lost data. although when i press preview village, it does not do anything. i have spent a lot of money on this game and would hate to loose my village. please help.
Did you sync your device to itune ?
Also, if you are using game center, u will start from level 1, eventually game center will detect there is another version of the village on game center server and will prompt you to choose between local and server, choose server.
I have an android phone and I have to reboot my phone to fix a issue on the phone itself. Is there a way to transfer my game to another phone or restore my current game if I reboot my phone?
Basically, u need an app that backup game data on old device and retore game data on new android device.
I dont know of any way to transfer a village from one android to another android because I haven't seen such an app. Backup/Restore is usually done on the same device.
My son has been playing smurf village on my iPhone 3 and I have my smurf village on iPhone 4, he got a message from game centre saying “pick a village and the other will be deleted, how can we keep both games on two different phones?
You get that message if you are playing the same village on 2 different apple devices. That means you share the same game center id on both devices.
Game center detected the village on local device is not the same as the one on game center server, therefore prompt u to choose. U wont have this problem if you and your son each have a different game center ID and play different village.

You will not erase your son's village by setting up a game center account. What it does is to sync your game on your phone to the game center, saving it online. So, if you ever lose your phone, or erase the game by mistake, just log onto your game center with your game center id, and retrieve your game. Firstly, do you have the game center icon on your phone? Are you using an IOS device?

Resetting the device will wipe out your game and data. U need to find an app that can backup game and data to an external SD card so u can restore it after resetting.
Each android device has its own backup/restore app so I can't tell u which app to use
My asus table came with an app that let me backup/restore game and data.
Hi there! I am so frustrated, my daughter has been unable to play Smurfs since the beginning of April, I have done all the updates since and still nothing. I have a Samsung Galaxy S and have tried everything you have all suggested and still nothing. I don't want to delete the software until it's backed up, but I have no idea how to do that because my daughter will give me hell if I loose everything she's worked to achieve on this game.

Each android device is different. My asus android tablet came with backup app that let me backup both game and data.
I dont see any decent free backup app on android market unless u want to spend alot of money. Just google app backup for your device.

Brainy.. i have same problem after update to latest version. when i trying to recover my village, it show at Level 36 0%xp.. but actual i have 80%++xp.. please advice…
you will lose some progress (about haft to 1 day) when you restore your village.

Have you gotten the latest update? If your game is still glitched after the 1.2.1 update, then you may either want to report it or report it to Beeline directly.

No you can not take your village with you if you change to an android, because iphone and android devices are working in two different ways in this game
My surf village was not connected to Game Center I don't believe, I signed onto game center using the account I used to buy the Smurf Village game, and when I went back to the game it was back to level one! I tried deleting the game and then re-downloading it, to no avail. When I tried clicking on Papa smurf's head 16 times it worked, but only to load the level one restarted game. If your device is connected with GC you can recover it.

Restore your village
I play in my Android and I'm lev 25, I lost my village and it returns to lev 1, don't have any houses, dont have any farmer smurfs, there are only 2 smurfs ( papa and crops smurft). I must to build a new house, but I'm on lev 1 so I can't build this house. I turned up and on my device. and in the Option doesn't have Recovery Village.
that's odd. You should have some saved villages (about 20 ). The game saves to local device once per day.
Did you reinstall the game ? If you did then everything is lost. If you did not reinstall the game then I dont know else what to suggest.

You might need to report to Beeline to retrieve your lost village.
Does anyone know if you put your Smurfs village on your SD card and switch your SD Card into another android device will your data be saved that way?
The app was having problems so I didn't play for 2 weeks and then I redownload the app and I accidentally pressed play and now when I go to the list of saved games it has nothing plzzzzz somebody help me I'm on level 28 and I bought smurf berries but I logged in to Facebook
