Expanding the village

By

After some time the village gets rather crowded with all the Smurfs living and working there, that is why the game offers a few ways to expand the village. Three of this expansion can be bought with Coins; one has to be bought with Smurfberries.

Land on the right side of the river

As soon as level 5 is reached, Papa Smurfs gives the task to build a small bridge across the river on the right side of the village, once the bridge has been finished (it takes 120 hours) the Smurfs can cross the river so that the land on the right side can be cultivated.

Land expansion to the left side of the river

The second expansion is to the left side of the village, in level 16 the big bridge is unlocked and can be build across the left river, so that the land on the left side can be accessed.

Cliffside expansion

The last free expansion can be gained in level 22 when it unlocks the staircases, after placing them at the cliff top on the far right side of the village the Smurfs can use them to climb up the cliff.

The last expansion gives 30% more land to the south of the village, it can be bought in the Smurfberry-Shop for 25 Smurfberries. With version 1.1.2 of the game another paid land expansion has been added. As with the previous one it is available for 25 Smurfberries and adds another 30% of land to the south of the village. That means this item can now be bought twice to add additional land to the bottom.

The Beach

The beach section is another free (that is it can be obtained without the use of Smurfberries) land expansion that was added in version 1.1.1 of the app (and slightly modified in version 1.1.2). The beach is located at the far left side of the village and comes with special “summer” items to be placed on the beach (such as bath towels, etc.).
Despite the sand the beach is a normal land expansion, which means it can be used for all items, like the gardens, etc. and not only the beach accessoires

Expansion to the East of the Cliff

The Christmas 2011 version of the game (version 1.1.5 (iOS) and version 1.0.3 (Android)) has added a new free land expansion to the village.

This expansion is free, that means no Smurfberries are required to access the land. The Expansion is to the East of the Cliff Side and increases the space of the whole cliff side. Therefore, to get the expansion access to the cliff is required, that means the stone steps need to be placed at the cliff so the Smurfs can access it.

The Expansion itself is only available from level 26 onwards, before that the land is blocked by a timber and wood. After completing the current tasks from Papa Smurf (like, for example the Christmas quests) Papa will send out 5 Smurfs for 72 hours to search for supplies for Timber’s Mill.

Once the Smurfs return, it is possible to upgrade his Mill (by taping on) and Timber can clear the wood preventing you to access the new space.

Island Expansion

To get to the island the village has to be at least on level 19 and there has to be access to the beach. If Papa Smurf’s quests have been done regularly (tasks from seasonal updates might take priority) the “Dreamy Smurf & Island” quest line begins.

The first of those quests is to go and look for Dreamy Smurf. If no Smurfberries are used to speed up those tasks, it will take quite a while to get to the island, the following quests have to be completed before it can be reached:

-       Send 2 Smurfs into the forest for 12 hours

-       Send 2 Smurfs into the forest for 24 hours

-       Send 5 Smurfs for 5 hours to find Dreamy Smurf

-       Send Dreamy on an adventure for 24 hours

-       Play Miner Smurf’s Mini Game (to get metal for the compass)

-       Send 3 Smurfs into the forest for 24 hours to gather magnetic rock

-       Send Dreamy Smurf on an adventure for 72 hours

-       Send Dreamy Smurf on an adventure for the third time for 72 hours

-       Smurf to the island

Without the use of Smurfberries and if the next task is done immediately after the previous one has been finished it will take about 9 to 10 days to get the island.

The island itself can be expanded to the south for 25 Smurfberries, just like the mainland, though this expansion is at the moment only available once on the island.

Expansion to the west on the island (dam)

To get an expansion to the west on the island, a dam has to be build on the island to stop the water and make it possible for the smurfs to access that land.

The dam can be build on level 24 and costs 8000 Coins. It takes 168 hours to build. The dam can only be placed at a specific spot. After choosing the dam from the build menu, look for a shadow of it and built it at the exact same spot.

2nd Expansion to the west on the island (Cliff top Expansion)

From level 28 onwards, it is possible to build stone steps on the island’s left side to make it so that the smurfs can access the land on top of the cliff.

To build the stone steps, the dam expansion needs to be completed first. After that, and if the required level has been reached, the stone steps come available from the first shop in the build menu.

There are two kinds of stone steps, the big ones, which can only be placed at one certain spot at the top of the cliff, and the small ones, for which there are up to three places (if all south expansions have been bought) where they can be placed. Both versions of the steps cost 10.000 Coins and take 120 hours to build (60 hours if Hefty Smurf is on the mainland).

The Mountains

The Mountains can be reached once the Hot Air Balloon has been placed at level 25. The Hot Air Balloon, and with it the mountain expansion, is free and does not cost Smurfberries nor Coins. For more information, please read the article about the mountains or the hot air balloon.

I am at level 72 and paid 50 smurfberries for an extension of the south of the mainland. I can place houses, flowrrs even put them in another place but they are not visible. How can I solve this?

  2. Hello everyone!
I started playing smurfs long ago but had a rather long pause. When I still played, I bought several land expansions at the bottom of the main village.
And now'I have a graphical problem with my smurfs. In the main village two parts of river disappeared! The river flows normally but at some point it stops abruptly and after goes green ground, which can be walked by smurfs.
I restarted my iPad, I even bought further expansion at the bottom – nothing will help. The newly bought expansion has a river all right, but the previous parts of the river are still away.

How can I have the missing parts of river back? :)

(Can I send a screenshot somewhere?)

You can contact Beeline support by filling out this form: http://beeline-i.com/support.php
But to tell you the truth, it sounds like your data got corrupted, which means you have to either live with this or to restart your village, I don't think you can get it back. If this has only happened recently you can try to recover your game to a point when everything was fine, see this article for instructions: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/smurfs-village-gui…

      • Thank you for your answer. I wrote to Beeline support, but they didn't reply. I think I'll have to live with this, because I had somewhat improved my village before I noticed this river glitch.

        • Stroumpfette says:

Usually, Beeline replies within 24 hours, and within the hour that you submit a ticket, you should receive an automated response stating that the ticket made it to them. If you haven't seen either of those, please double-check your junk mail folders and your spam settings. You can also try to submit another ticket. Their response time may be a little longer than usual since the updates for both iOS and Android were released just a couple of days ago.

    Hi!
I'm on level 36 and Clumsy Smurf asked me build a stone bridge. But when I try to place it, it keeps saying "You can't place your object in that location. Try dragging it to an open area". I can't seem to find any open areas and I don't know where I'm actually supposed to build this bridge. Any help??
    Thanks :)

  4. Andy says:

Does anyone know the current maximum amount of expansions purchasable in each section?

    So far I have bought 6 in the main village (4x 25SB, 2x 50SB)
Island (4×25 smurfberries) guessing probably two more 50SB expansions like the village?
    Mountain, I haven't bought any

Anyone got any idea on the maximum for each?

    • Smurfette says:

Mainland is as you said, there are 6 Paid Expansions, the last two cost 50 SB, the others 25 SB. Mountain has two paid expansions for 25 SB each, there is none on the Swoof Planet and the Island has five paid expansions, the last one costs 50 SB (This is on my Android device as of Flying Smurf Update, but it should be the same on iOS)

  5. Jenna says:

I need to place a stone bridge but whenever I try it won't let me put it anywhere and I can't delete either of the wooden bridges it's only allowing me one bridge and I'm not blocking the other ones please help

    • Smurfette says:

The bridges don't go in all places, try to clear the whole area around your river and then place it.

  6. abcde says:

How many time can we expand the main village by purchasing using smurfberries?
as i know the 5th expanding using 50 smurfberries.

  7. Biebergram says:

I am on level 35. Papa Smurf is saying to add a bridge. There are arrows to buy the bridge, but after I buy it, no area will accept it. Where is this bridge supposed to go?

    • Stroumpfette says:

Try the left river and the right river, and try turning the bridge around. There is a place for it to go, but it may take some tweaking to find the right location for it.

  8. Wendela says:

Will there ever come an expansion for the island further to the west, on the far left side of the village, on the other side of the deep small ravine? Or did I miss something? I tried building bridges and paths over it, I'm so curious what's on the other side.

    • Smurfette says:

Nothing is there as of now. We do not know if Beeline plans on adding an expansion there eventually, but they have not added one to the island in a long time

  9. Huck Ewell says:

    Hi there,

If expanded to south on island, is there a plain land or some palm trees are in there?

    Thanks in advance. :}

    • Smurfette says:

it just adds a bit more land to the bottom, there is nothing "special" there, though there might be a palm tree or two there, I am not sure about that anymore, it was so long ago that I expanded my island, sorry. But otherwise its plain land. You can move the palm trees though

    • Stroumpfette says:

The island expansion includes one or two palm trees. I don't remember exactly how many.

    • Huck Ewell says:

      Hey there!

So i just expanded to south in island. There were 3 palms which could be reached for a planting or decorating usage and one palm, which could only be possible to reach on the next south expansion (can only see the top of palm tree for now).
      Also wanted to notice that people who are village decorators and loves those palm trees but are short on smurfberries should better expand south. For 25 berries you will get 3 palm trees and, hey, more land for your smurfs to peacefully live in! :}
I understand that this is not a huge info but still a neat thing to know {:

Have a great time, dear smurfs! :)

    • Wendela says:

It includes 2 palmtree's for sure, I just expanded my Island a week ago so I remember well :-) That was a nice surprise, I hadn't expected extra palmtree's! And it looks like a 2nd expansion to the south will give at least one more palmtree, judging by the top of some palmleaves sticking out above the bottom of my screen. I can't touch that third palmtree yet, nor move it or plant anything on it, but most likely I can if I would expand the island south a 2nd time.

  10. monica says:

I read a comment here the other days about ripped crops dissapearing (on android), but for the life of me i can't find it any more. I planted 32 tomatoes yesterday in the evening and when i accesed the game this morning i foung only 10 tomatoes ready to harvest. The other plots were emty. What can i do if this situation repeats itself? Again sorry for the repetition.

    • Stroumpfette says:

That is odd. We recommend opening a ticket with Beeline and asking them about it at http://beeline-i.com/support.php .

    • yarnert says:

I know my reply is really late, and hopefully you've solved this problem by now. I find that once in a while, if I close the game down right after I plant crops, and the smurfs haven't gotten to their farms yet the plots that were still waiting to be planted will be empty when I get back to the game. If I can't wait for the smurfs to get to them all I usually just go to planet swoof or the mountain and exit from there. I hope this helps!

  11. monica says:

When can i expand in space on android? I didn't see the space expancion on the chart. Can someone help me?

    • Stroumpfette says:

This is how you expand your land in space: 1) dig for stars and stardust in the craters you were given when you reached the planet. There are two of them 2) use the stars to complete the first constellation. 3) Once the constellation is complete, it unlocks additional swoof huts, which you MUST build to continue. 4) Once the swoof huts are built, you need to feed the bird (which you should see flapping its wings over an area of uncleared space) the stardust you dug up. If you don't have enough, you can either purchase some more at the resource store or you can dig until you find enough. When the bird is done clearing the space you may or may not find an additional crater (every other area cleared produces a crater). 5) Complete the next constellation and the next one until you have cleared al the areas up through the current update. You should have a total of 9 craters in all.

  12. Faith says:

Ok so I put the stairs and I got that little part but how do I make it bigger?

    • Stroumpfette says:

Make what bigger? The stairs opened up one expansion, and as the article states, that is the last free expansion. If you want more space, you can spend Smurfberries to pay for a paid expansion.

  13. nony says:

hello i am raish i am at level 13 i want to go to level 29 so i do what ever grandpa smurf says but i get very little xp is this right .can anyone help me

    • lala123 says:

you are right even i cant get more xp

    • Smurfette says:

Well the quests usually do not give out that much XP, the best way to get to higher levels is to constantly plant crops and choose the ones with a good XP/time value.
