With the latest update the upcoming Smurfs Movie is promoted and the smurfs can now build a movie theatre in their village. The theatre is available for a limited time and costs 300 coins and builds in 4 hours (2 hours if Hefty Smurf has been placed in the village before).
Tapping on the theatre opens a link with a trailer to the upcoming movie. It says that the item is only temporary, so we can assume that it will be removed again with one of the upcoming updates, just like the seasonal items.
Unlike most of the other building the movie theatre does not come with a special smurf associated with it, so building it does not add another character to your village.
The movie theatre and the advertisement for the Smurfs Movie have now been removed with the September 2011 update (app version 1.1.3).
Sure wish Beeline woulda kept the Theater, after all their hardwork, I think my Smurfs deserve to relax and watch a movie! (maybe it'll return for Smurfs 2)
There's a problem; I want to get the theater but I can't find it. Where is it? I need your help!!!!!

In case it's according to the level, I'm in level 27.
You cant no longer buy the movie theater it was only availble for a short priod about a year ago when it was premiere for the smurf movie after that it disapeared both from the village and from the shop

Beeline, the creators of the game, have announced that the movie theater will be removed with the next update. At the moment you can update to the current version if you still have an old version of the game, but as soon as the next update is out, updating will remove your theatre
but if they remove it, will they at least give us back the gold we paid to build it? seems awfully unfair if otherwise.
That is very doubtfull, we have not got the gold back for all the other items that were only temporary (i.e. Snowman, Christmas Tree, Easter Bunny, etc.). And it clearly says that the Movie Theatre will only be temporary. Morevover, it only costs 300 Coins, that is really not that much compared to the other items available for coins.
When I click on the movie theatre it has an option of ‘smurfs grabber’ and takes me to YouTube?? What is this please??
It is a new Smurfs game that the creators of The Smurfs’ Village are about to release. The latest news is that it is only available in the Canadian AppStore at the moment but will be released in most of the other countries in the upcoming weeks
How do I complete Papa Smurfs "Movie Theater" quest???
I watched the preview a few time and the quest still isnt complete. What to do???
Is it Papa's Quest or Brainy's? If it is Brainy's Quest, the ! above his head will not disappear by watching the preview. You have to wait until the movie theatre is removed (that will happen in the next update).
It's impossible to remove it. We'll have to wait until next update when I hope it'll dissapear.

It will be removed in the next update (version 1.1.3). It should be released within the next couple of weeks.
