Secret decorative items in The Smurfs Village for Halloween and Thanksgiving

Upon the launch of the Halloween update (version 1.1.4), the two added items jack-o’-lanterns and gravestones seemed to be not enough for a monthly update, which rises a lot of fans complains. However, as usual playing smurfs village not only requires creativity but also some curiosity is required. This time beeline came up with a nice innovative surprise, so changing your profile image in the village, allows you to get access to more hidden decorative items.
Since this update is dedicated to both Halloween and Thanksgiving, the secret items can be unlocked if you buy pumpkin.
The unlocked items consist of Thanksgiving pack which have the following items:
- Festive cornucopia 20 coins…they may be removed in the next update and people will be out the coins and berries if they bought the swing.- Beeline
- Thanksgiving turkey statute (similar to last year once) which costs 15 smurfberries.
- A swing costs 10 smurfberries
- Wooden gazebo cost 4000 coins
In order to get Thanksgiving secret pack:
Tap on the profile picture on the top left corner
Select one of the four Thanksgiving/ Halloween user avatars, like pumpkin, the turkey, leaf etc.. For those who have bought the Thanksgiving Statue last year (and therefore already have the pumpkin user picture) need to put it in storage first, then restart the App.
Tap buy you will not get charged for buying thanks giving pack, but you will get charged ( smurfberris and coins) if you buy swings, gazebos, …. This is only available for version 1.1.4, and it will be changed in the next update (Please read Beeline statements in the last paragraphs in this article).
and voila you will get Thanksgiving Pack
An example of a village contains the Thanksgiving secret items can be seen below:
- It is was confirmed by Beeline representative that the hidden decorative items were not made available in purpose, it is just an other glitch:”the gazebo, swing set, and cornucopia aren’t “hidden items”. They were not meant to be found and aren’t supposed to be accessible yet. The only reason they can now be obtained at all is through the menu exploit. ” . Also they mentioned that the items can be removed in the next update :”Worst case scenario they may be removed in the next update and people will be out the coins and berries if they bought the swing“.
- Also this hidden items trick seems to be buggy, it doesn’t work always. So you need to close all the apps in your iPhone or iPad or restart your device and try if it doesn’t work.

Do you already have the Thanksgiving Statue (from last year)? If so you have to first put it into storage (storage hut required), then restart the app (completly close via the multitask bar). Then it should work for you.

Yep, I've tried all that. I've closed it completely using the multitask bar; I've restarted my iPad; I've tried each of the "Thanksgiving pack" icons/pictures…and nothing. Ha…just my luck I guess.
Minott12, just keep closing the apps and log in again to the game, if you try many times will work, it didn't work for me at first, but after few tries it worked like a charm. It seems to be buggy as it is mentioned in the article above. let us know please how you get on
OMG it worked! Thanks guys! I closed ALL the apps in the multitask bar, then I tried it again, then the thanksgiving stuff popped up! Whoho! Now my village is looking festive:). You guys rock!
I got it. Thank you sooo much…this is smurfy. But they only allow to buy one item at one time. I have to log out the game. Close it from the multitasking bar. then log back in and restart the entire process all over again. I also realized that if we already have the avatar, we have to choose some other avatar. close the app and then when we restart jus choose the pumpkin etc. Then can get

The trick is you have to close the game then try the step. Many people can’t get it to work because they don’t close their game.

Michelle, sometimes it doesn't work the first time, close all the app (via the multitask bar) and then try to log in again and try it, it worked for me after few attempts. Please let us know how you get on. Thank you
If you can get this to work, its absolutely fantastic!!! I had to restart my ipod multiple times, pretty much after everytime I purchased something but its worth the time and patience, particularly for those who started playing just after thanksgiving like I did and couldn't get the thanksgiving pack. I wonder if they've had secret things like this in the past….
Do we have to have the storage hut for this to work? I was able to get the turkey statue to appear and purchased that. What do I do after that to get the thanksgiving pack?
No you don't have to have storage in order to get it work, unless if you had thanksgiving turkey statute you need to store it in the storage in order to be able to buy the Thanksgiving pack

Yes and no, if you store the Thanksgiving Statue in the Storage Hut and then reopen the game, you can access the secret items once again. But you do need the storage hut for this to work.

As the article says, you have to put the Thanksgiving Statue in the Storage Hut. If you do not have the storage hut, than you can not access the secret items.
If you have all the pics you need to get rid of your thanks give statute by hiding it in the storage if you have one. The other option you can delete it, but I don't recommend it. I'm sure you will get these items easily once the next update will be released and the bugs will be fixed.

Ok, so I hit "BUY" but I didn't lose any smurfberries. Is this happening to everyone else? I'm not complaining at all. I'm just worried that for all those times I've hit "BUY" it won't accumulate and eventually eat up all my smurfberries. Lol!

I have a iPad were do I close all my apps?
Go to your Home Screen (where you see all of your Apps), then double click on the Home Button and the multitask bar appears. There tap long on one of the apps until they start to shake. Then a X appears, press it to close the app.

Hi, I was able to purchase the thanksgiving pack but still can't unlock the new profiles (pumpkin, turkey, …)

The Thanksgiving pack itself does not really exist, what unlocks the four thanksgiving user pictures is the Thanksgiving Statue and that costs 15 Smurfberries.
If you use the method described in the article it should appear along with the other items

Wowww it worked with me and i bought all the hidden items (that costs berries and coins ) but i'm a little worried because up they mentioned that the items will be removed in the next update !! Is that true they will be removed and i would have used all that berries for nothing ??
Is totally their fault, so in case they will remove them you can contact them for reimbursement of your smurfsberries

If you completely close the Smurfs village App (via multitask bar) and restart it again it should work, you need to keep trying many times.
Help ! me and 4 other of my friends have an iphone 4 and updated to iOS 5 and cannot open the game (stays at beeline) and followed all the steps on the article (crashing app) Please help Smurfette, Handy and Papa Smurf!
Unfortunately that is a common problem. Make sure that you stay a while on the Screen (like maybe 10-15 Minutes), sometimes that helps. If not there is not really anything you can do, you will have to wait for Beeline to fix it. Do we have to pay the 15 smurf berries or not? I understand we have to buy the gazebo and swing, but quite unclear as to whether we have to pay for the Thanksgiving Pack or not.

No the thanksgiving images (pumpkin, turkey and feather) are for free, so when you hit buy you wont get charged. the rest is not free

If I press to buy The Thanksgiving Pack, am I loosing 15 of my 22 saved smurfberries? I am saving to buy the Smurfette house.

No, if you click "Buy", you will get to the shop, only when you buy one of the items there that cost Smurfberries will you actually spend them.
Also the game will always ask for a confirmation if you really want to spend Smurfberries on something to prevent accidental purchases
No, you do not have to buy anything, but if you want the four user images you have to buy the Thanksgiving Statue for 15 Smurfberries. You do not need to buy the Gazebo or the Swing to get them.

I did it but you do have to sign off each time to get a new item. It is a good day as Jokey also gave me a smurfberry, now I am 7 to the Smurfette home , actually, 4 more as I am 93 percent in the Level 33 soI should be getting 3 more smurfberries in a day or so.
Maybe Marco Smurf will come back to the village with smurfberries. —always the optimist.

The update interval for iOS is 4 to 6 weeks, but there have also been delays before. The next update should be out sometime in November.

Beeline said arround 2 to 3 weeks but nothing official yet, and for the land they mentioned a land for this update but there was no land so im guessing Land will appear for the upcomming version
I tried the steps, but all i can get was the cornucopia. No swing, no gazebo! What happened??!!!
It is a glitch and does not work everytime. Restart your game and then exactly follow the instructions again. The cornucopia was official released, that is why you were able to see it.
I managed to purchase the gazebo but I feel that the swing is too expensive lol. Thanks for the hints. Anyway, are the swings and gazebos permanent items?
We can only say that for sure if they are released officially. At the moment the cornucopia has been released, so that is definetly permanent, for the other items we will have to wait and see
Smurfette can you tell me a way to increase my level?? and how did you reach level 39??
I am playing daily since November 2010, that is how I got to level 39, it took me ages. if you do not have the time to check for your crops to often, I would suggest to plant Magic Raspberries, if you have a lot of time, plant Magic Blueberries and at night plant Golden Corn to get Coins back. If you have not reached the level for the Magic Crops yet, just plant the crops that give the most XP/hour for your time frame. And always plant something, never leave your gardens empty. If it's not working for you, it's because you have the harvest wagon out. The article briefly mentions this when talking about the Harvest Statue from last year, but it also applies if you have the harvest wagon.
You have to store the Harvest Wagon in the storage hut, exit the app, close it via the multi-tasking bar (double click the home button), then re-open Smurfs Village. On a side note, I'm so glad they brought this back! I was around for last year, but I didn't try to buy it before they had switched it out for the harvest wagon.
I Have purchased two turkey statues and two gazebo`s… the pumpkin picture or any thanksgiving picture has appeared and I can`t buy the swing set because the picture appeared now…. What can I do?
You have to put the Thanksgiving Statue into the Storage Hut, then reopen the app and it should work.
I just found out about the latest update.. Is there a way I can still get the Halloween / Thanksgiving packs or is it too late?

If you already have the Thanksgiving pack (that is the Thanksgiving Statue), you need to but it into storage and then reopen the game, after that follow the instructions in the article. The Statue appears because it has been officially released.

You do not have to buy a pumkin, you have to click on the pumpkin user picture. Please restart your device, then open the game and follow the instructions exactly as seen in the video, that should make it work.
Hey Guys! It still works! Just make sure your device is on "Airplane Mode" after I did that, IT WORKED!!!! I got a bunch of gazebos and swings, the cornucopias and bat return too!

After you complete all of papa's christmas quests , he will ask you to send smurfs to get suplies for timbers hut for 72 hours, then you will have to update Timbers hut for 7500 and the land will appear on the right
I'm sorry this might be a stupid question, but can the gazebo still be purchased after the Christmas Winter update? Before the latest update I had the option to buy the pumpkins, the turkey statue, the swings and the bats, which I bought all of those but the gazebo wasn't a choice for some reason. If it is too late to be purchased, is there a chance it will be back next year?

The gazebo was never officially available. It is possible that it might come available later on, but it is also possible that it will never be officially released.
