Neighbours and Gifts
ByThe game can connect to either Apples Game Center or Facebook or both. When connected to one of these services all friends who play the Smurf’s Village game as well can be seen as neighbours and their villages can be visited. Every neighbour can be given one gift every 24 hours.
To enable this function either log into Facebook by going from the main menu to options – manage friends and enter the Facebook credentials, to enable Game Center log into the Game Center app on the device before opening the game. It is also possible to be logged into both services at the same time.
In the village, click on the button in the bottom left corner of the village, after that a map with other villages and the features “random village” and “featured village” is opened.
By clicking on “featured village” nine villages can be seen that have been added by Capcom (the developer) as specially featured villages that everyone can see.
The button random village offers the option to randomly visit a village from other players. The villages can be seen, but no presents can be left for the creator of the village, moreover their names do not appear, just the banner “random village”.
On the right side from the map the friends that are connected to the village are shown, to visit that village just click on the banner. Once in the village, a button on the bottom right side appears, clicking that gives the option to choose a gift. This can be placed anywhere within the village and the creator will see it as soon as he opens the game again.
To add new neighbours the person has to be added as a friend either in Game Center or on Facebook, as soon as the friend request is accepted, the new neighbour will show up on the map.
Under the banner of the neighbours map with their names and current levels, the exact number of Smurfs, animals and other characters that are living inside the village are shown.
I have installed the Android version of the game and logged into Facebook, but I can't see my friends who have the iOS version.
That is normal, iOS users and Android users can not connect

I can't see the button to visit other villages (I am playing on an ipod touch). Any suggestions how to fix this?
Are you in a low level? Because it only comes up after a couple of levels, not sure which anymore, I think fourth or fifth level. it comes after a quest from Papa Smurf. If you are a higher level, have you done all of Papa Smurf's Quests?
I was never able to visit featured villages and my internet and all are working just fine. Im currently on lv22 but no matter how long I wait, it wouldnt show up.. I really want to visit Marcos village too! And sometimes I get a message about bad device time, asking me to check the time which is totally fine
There are quite a lot of issues with the friends servers on Beeline's side that cause this. Unfortunately, this has been going on for a while and there is not really something that you can do about to change that. Beeline said they are working on it, depending on the issue it will either be fixed remotely by them or with the coming updates if that is not possible. However, there have not been any official announcements and we just have to wait and see.
I don't have a Facebook account. Is there a way to find people on game center that have smurfs village? I don't have anyone to gift to and get gifts from
If you use Smurfs' Village yes. You can look at the Facebook Wall of the game (you do not need a Facebook Account for that). There many people post their Facebook ID and aks to be added.

When I tab featured villages it just shows empty fields and no other villages. Random villages works just fine but whyam i not able to see any featured villages in my android app?
This is due to the servier issues Beeline has with the friends servers. For me this happens as well sometimes, but after a day or so it should work again.
When one of your neighbours is in your village they can click on the water can symbol and the flowers will be watered. You have to ask a friend to water them.
how do you get a person to water your plants when their done??

How do I earn a gift?
You can not "earn" gifts, just get them as a present from your friends or Jokey/Marco Smurf.
How is it possible that when i get flower seedsasa gift, when I plant seeds I still need to pay coins?

i have a htc android and i can not see any friends if i leave my village there is a thbat says add friends and i have done this 3-4 but get nothing except a facebook app to share and have done that can anyone help me please
There have been and still are lots of server issues that cause friends to not show up or things like you getting the "No connection" error. Go to the Options menu and make sure you show up as logged in there (if not, log in). If your friends do not show up, here are a couple of tips that might help: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/smurfs-village-gui… But in the end it is an issue that has to be fixed by Beeline.
If i am getting flowers as a gift, why must i pay coins if i plant the flowers?
Because getting them as gifts only unlocks the seeds so that you can use them. That is why getting them as gifts more than once is useless and does not do anything.
Every time I try to visit a random village I get the "oops….check your internet connection and try again" message. My internet is fine and it's happened for just under a week now. Is it still the servers?
It seems so, although it has been better lately, there are still many issues with that. If your internet connection is ok, than it is definetly nothing on your end.
There are times that all or some individual villages are not available. They eventually become available when waiting long enough.
A solution that worked when unable to download updates was:
Go to the i-Tunes GUI, enter i-Tunes. Find the log out button. Log out of i-Tunes. Wait 10 seconds. Log back into i-Tunes. Exit i-Tunes.
Perhaps this will also work for re-establishing connection for the Smurf game, worth a try.

why can't i add any friends? EVO user.
You have to add them as friends via the Facebook website. As soon as they accept the request and your are logged into Facebook, they should show up. However, they will only show up if you connect to other Android users, you can not connect to iOS users
I play this game using Ipad while my friend using her android. Why can't i see her in my neighbor friends although i've already added her in my facebook friend. Is anyone experiencing the same problem? Thanx for the help
You can only connect to other iOS device users and your friend can only see other Android users. this is because Android and iOS are so different plattforms that cross-plattform connection is not supported (at the moment at least).
On my smurf neighborhood page one of my friends banner is displaying a medallion reward type thing.
What dose this mean?
with the new space you get by upgrading timbersmurfs hut, nobody else can see the extra space except yourself… why?
That is an error/bug with the update. It will probably be fixed with the next version.
Where do i post my GC id to get new friends that is playing Smurfs Village?
Not here, I removed your Game Center ID, we do not allow "add me post". Beeline has a forum were you can post your GC ( http://getsatisfaction.com/beeline_games/topics/t… ), also on the game's facebook wall there are always people asking to be added. You can add some of them from there or post your own GC ID there as well ( http://www.facebook.com/SmurfsVillage ).

Once you have friends, it is possible to invite their friends through GC.
Tip: Send many requests and unfriend those that do no play Smurfs Village.
When all works well, it takes about 30 seconds to visit each friend and scroll through their mainland villages. If you gift, it adds another 30 seconds and watering adds 30+ seconds depending on the number of flower boxes. 20 friends may require approx 30 minutes per day to maintain.
I want to visit a random village but it wont let me>:( it says i need connection but i am connected! what do i do??
also when i click on invite friends nothing is happening, i log into facebook but nothing happens after???
Try restarting your device, that sometimes helps. Other than that, it is probably a server issues and you have to wait until it works again. The invite friends link only lets you post a wall post to your facebook profile, if you want to add friends you have to add them via the facebook webpage.

You have to add them via Facebook as friends and then, when they are playing the same game and have the android version as well, they will show up. Before that, you have to log into Facebook from the game, though (Options – Manage Friends)
I'm giving gifts to my friend and I also watered her flowers, she does the same to me, but we never get any of each others gifts, and when we water each others flowers that won't work either. If I leave the village and enter it again after watering the plants, the watering can is still there! Why is it not working?

It is a server issue, nearly no one gets water/gifts at the moment. You will have to wait for Beeline to fix it.
Is anyone else having issues giving/receiving gifts and flower watering? I leave gifts for others; they dont get them. Others leave gifts for me; I dont get them. I try to water the flowers of my second village (and vice versa) and neither go through… and every other combination of watering/gifting.
Yeah, I am having that issue as well. I suppose it is due to so many people playing the game at the moment as the new update was just released. Either way, there is nothing you can do about it, it is a server issue that Beeline needs to fix.

I am having the same issue with the winter release, not getting gifts, flowers watered by friends still tell me that the tasks needs to be done. Finally cannot find Marco anywhere

Yes that's correct, there is an issue going on with the Gifts and watering in this update, so is common problem, hopefully will be fixed sooner.
I started a game with all three daisies. Over time a friend gifted me with all three roses. When I plant flowers, I can choose from any of those 6… so far so good. But when I try to give roses as a gift to someone else, it claims "Needs Seed". But obviously I have rose seeds because I can plant them in my own village. Am I missing something?

You need to plant and harvest the roses before you are able to gift their seeds.
All neighbors are missing! How can I watering my flowers?
You can't. The missing friends will probably reappear as soon as Beeline fixes it, but until then you might have to rebuy the flowers after they have withered.
I know this seems a little unrelated, but what does it take to be added to the 'featured villages' list? Is it due to the Level?

They are random, so no real list exists, he can gift most of the items available as gifts to neighbours and in the shop
how to know if you receive a gift from your friends?
when your friend gives you a gift or even water your flowers, it wont appear right away when you log on, usually you have to wait about 2 minutes for it to register.
In the visit other villages screen, the one neighbor I have has one of those red circles with a slash thru it on the right of their banner/name. What is that indicating about the my neighbor's village? I can view the village just fine, it's up to date, we can gift back and forth…. seems like everything is working.
Ive never heard of tht problem before, try closing and opening your device and if there's no change then try contacting them (support@beeline-i.com)
This is the "banishing icon" if you press it you banish your neighbour from you neighbour map and you will not see them anymore (though your friend can still see you). To unbanish someone, you would have to go to Main Menu, Options and then Manage Friends.

Yes, without the Internet Connection you will still be able to play, but not see your neighbours, receive gifts etc.
Hi,__I have an IPhone and my friend is using an Android. We can not add each other as friends. Has anyone had this problem before? I can only see those friends who use Iphones.__Please help!!!__
With an iOS village you can only connect to other iOS villages, and Android villages can only be connected to other Android villages.
I have a Facebook and so dose my sister and we are both logged into smurfs with our Facebooks but it will not let me add her and we are friends on Facebook. Also it will not let me add anyone else who I am friends with on Facebook and is loggedto the smurfs. It is telling me to write a post for my wall.
Go to Options – Manage Friends and there log into Facebook (if you are logged in, log out and in again). That should help. You can skip it if it asks you to write to your wall.
I’ve tried this and it isn’t working. If this is a bug I hope it gets fixed soon. No fun playing alone:(
I just added some new friends, and they accepted friend request. And one of them already left me a gift. But when I try to go and visit their village, it says that I don't have any friends and gives me only the option to "invite friends". Why? And how can I fix it? Thank you!!!

My Droid 3 won't recognize my facebook friends even after I managed my fb account on the app. The app keeps stalling and stuttering until it either freezes or resets my phone since i went up to level 7.
I cannot see my friends village anymore.. They dissapeared some days ago.. I thought it could be problem with connection but not, I receive presents too. What can i do? How to fix it?

They changed the gifts? I downloaded the update and now you can't give yellow potion anymore? Anyone else notice this?
Yes, the new potion gifts have all been removed (i.e. yellow, green and orange).

Yes, you still get it, if you leave the game and come back, it will disappear and you get the XP without the smurf eating the potion

It sometimes takes a while for new friends to register. They should be there by now, if not, try restarting your device

I give gifts everyday – and I mean every single day – to all of my 40 neighbors. I have 2 villages, so I also give gifts to myself. However, my name almost never shows up as the “gifter.” It just says” Someone has left you a gift.” This makes me sad, because I religiously leave gifts on my neighbors’ beach everyday around 8pm est and water their flowers everyday! I don’t want them to think I never give gifts, because I do! Is there something I’m not doing right? Is anyone else having this issue?:(.
That is an issue that many people are experiencing, you are not doing anythin wrong. The only thing you can do is to make sure you have a strong Internet connection while gifting, but it is really nothing you can influence much.

Those are usually server issues. I would advice to restart the device to see if that helps, but in general you have to wait for Beeline to fix this.

I keep getting an error message when I try to water my friends plants. It sometimes says I'm offline, but I'm not. Or I water them and go back to check to see if it's been done and it hasn't ?? Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know why?
It is normal that the can above the flowers comes back when you revisit the village, because it will only disappear if the owner of the village has opened the game, so the online saved version of the village that you see gets updated.
Regarding the error messages, there is a bug in the game at the moment, that sometimes prevents people from giving gifts and/or watering flowers. There is nothing you can do about that, it has nothing to do with your Internet connection.
Can you give smurfberries or other things from your village to a friends village?
No, you can only give the items that are available in the gift menu (like mushroom, cakes, potted plants etc.), but no Smurfberries
do we get exp or money receiving / giving out gifts?
Giving gifts does not give extra XP/Money, but the gifts you receive have each a certain XP/Coins value that you will receive once you opened and placed the gift in your village (you can delete it afterwards without loosing the XP/Coins)

There is nothing you can do (if you have Internet Connection). Those are server issues on Beeline's side, just wait a day or two, it should work again after that.

Unfortunately the issues with the servers have been going on for a while, I can only advice to try again every now and then, maybe even restart your device. It is working sometimes, but other times it just doesn't, no matter what you try
