Neighbours and Gifts
ByThe game can connect to either Apples Game Center or Facebook or both. When connected to one of these services all friends who play the Smurf’s Village game as well can be seen as neighbours and their villages can be visited. Every neighbour can be given one gift every 24 hours.
To enable this function either log into Facebook by going from the main menu to options – manage friends and enter the Facebook credentials, to enable Game Center log into the Game Center app on the device before opening the game. It is also possible to be logged into both services at the same time.
In the village, click on the button in the bottom left corner of the village, after that a map with other villages and the features “random village” and “featured village” is opened.
By clicking on “featured village” nine villages can be seen that have been added by Capcom (the developer) as specially featured villages that everyone can see.
The button random village offers the option to randomly visit a village from other players. The villages can be seen, but no presents can be left for the creator of the village, moreover their names do not appear, just the banner “random village”.
On the right side from the map the friends that are connected to the village are shown, to visit that village just click on the banner. Once in the village, a button on the bottom right side appears, clicking that gives the option to choose a gift. This can be placed anywhere within the village and the creator will see it as soon as he opens the game again.
To add new neighbours the person has to be added as a friend either in Game Center or on Facebook, as soon as the friend request is accepted, the new neighbour will show up on the map.
Under the banner of the neighbours map with their names and current levels, the exact number of Smurfs, animals and other characters that are living inside the village are shown.
Hey i'm logged to facebook and game center too but i cant see my friends on the map :S when i open the map write searching friends but never found anything……..thx

I found that re-logging into facebook via the game's main menu and options tends to fix it temporarily for me. It's just annoying to have to do it whenever I loose my neighbors in the game. I only started doing it with the winter updates.
So I've been playing with this a bit with my two accounts, both on android devices. Here's some notes:
- I've noticed that if you sign into facebook through the app, friends don't show up immediately. However if I leave my device on and on the friends screen, it takes about ten minutes and then my friends appear
- I've also noticed that watering flowers, at least in the android version, counts as a "gift"… which really sucks. I can water flowers, but once I do, it tells me I can't give a gift more than once every 24 hours. I have NOT tried to give the gift first to see if the watering can icon disappears… I'll have to wait until tomorrow to do that now. Sad.
Does anyone else have any useful observations for the android version?

i already add him in game center but i can't find how to give him some smurfberries.

Nope, at the moment, there is no option to give smurfberries to friends.
It's not possible to gift smurfberries at this time.

when I give gifts to my sister, she has them, but when she leave me some, I don't get them. What could be the problem ?
Do I have to be connected to my facebook account on my phone at the time she give it to me to have it ?

No, you dont have to connect to facebook at the time she gift you. The gifting is not instantaneous due to game server sync. It takes some time for gift to show up in your village.
If you are on android, you have to connect to facebook each time you play and for the game to pull down the gift from game server.
I have the same problem but Im on my iPad and it worked until level 10 then it stopped me from receiveing gifts what should I do? Thanks
I've heard of this problem but dont know any solution or why. But I can suggest trying the following and see if it works
1) Reboot your device if u haven't already done so
2) Reconnect game to facebook.
3) Reconnect to game center
4) Disconnect from facebook but leave game center connected for 1/2 day and see if u receive any gift.
5) Disconnect from game center but leave facebook connection for 1/2 and see if u receive any gift

I’ve just add a friend via gamecenter successfully. But I can not see their village in friend map. It’s still invite friend. So can someone help me to solve it. I dont want to add via facebook.

if you dont have any facebook friend, go to game center, options, manage friends, disconnect facebook. This will force game center to pull in friends.
I'm fully connected through GC and Facebook, but not receiving gifts, that I know have been sent, has anyone any idea what the problem could be please?
This is what I usually do
1) Reboot device . It helps to do this.
2) Launch game from game center
3) Go to game main menu, options, manage friends, reconnect to facebook. I had to do this the last time I updated the game to the island. Didn't see any gift for few days until I reconnected the game to facebook.
i have added some friends on facebook, but i can´t see them in my village to visit them, there is still the button invite friends… what to do?
Your friends must be on the same device as you are…i.e. IOS and Android players cannot see each other.
How can I add my name to the gift I leave. It just says someone has left a gift.

U can't do that. The server does it automatically but it loses track when gift sender or receiver game disconnects from internet.
Is there any ways to give or send sb between friends as a gift?
Not at the moment.
I don't seem to get hardly any gifts from friends. Is it possible that I dont get the ones they leave there?

that's possible. Some ipad players are having this problem. Reboot your device and reconnect to facebook and/or game center.

I'm having trouble with my daughter's village not connecting to the Game Centre. I know our Internet connection is fine as 2 other villages have no problems. I discovered it when trying to find Marco because there's also a glitch with her Jokey quest too… Now she can't complete the jokey quest, find Marco or visit neighboring villages and is rather fed up. Is anyone else having these problems or know how to solve them? Thanks

There is no such option….what you saw is just a fan art.
I don't think it exists. Maybe it is an image of what someone really wants.
My gifts aren't coming through but I can send them I'm am connected to facebook and Gamecentre but it still won't let me send them I'm on my iPad and my sister is on hers and her gifts come through what should I do? Thanks

What do you mean reboot like reset your iPad ?
No. Reset and reboot are different. Reset means set device back to factory setting, you dont want to do this.
Reboot means turn device off and turn on again. Press and hold power button until red slider appears, slide to turn off. Press power button to turn on.

My ipod can't seem to find my game center friends on the map – it says "searching for friends" . idk what to do, GC says i have smurf friends but they don't appear on smurf village…help
U need internet of course. Go to options, manage friends and disconnect game from facebook. Check neighbor map again. Then reconnect game to facebook if you have facebook friends.
