Alchemist Smurf

Alchemist Smurf (smurf with stars hat) also walks freely through the village and he lives in Papa Smurfs house and upgrades the potion mixing mini-game of Papa Smurf. He was added in the September 2011 update of the game (app version 1.1.3) and is available from level 23 onwards.
To get Alchemist Smurf Papa Smurf will, sometime after having reached level 23, give the task to send 3 Smurfs out for 24 hours and when they return, Alchemist Smurf will be with them.
Alchemist Smurfs will give you tasks himself, just like Papa Smurf. The first task is to upgrade Papa Smurf’s house. After he gives you the task, just tap on Papa’s house and click on upgrade. The upgrade costs 500 coins and changes his rooftop from red to white with yellow stars and moons (just like Alchemists Hat).
This upgrade does not only change the appearance of Papa’s Hut, however, but also changes his potion mixing game. After the upgrade, it is possible, if the required minimum level has been reached, to mix three new potions (yellow potion for max. 250 XP, green potion for max. 400 XP and orange potion for a maximum of 600 XP). Moreover, just like the golden axe in Miner Smurf’s Mini Game, a new item is available to make the game easier, i.e. make it easier to mix the correct colours. This item is the”Magic Flask” which costs 20 Smurfberries.
When making a potion, after moving it to the arrow a time or two,I get a solid bar. No matter how hard or fast I shake, it's ruined. There seems to be no way to get to another shade. Am I missing something?
You do not have to "shake" it. This is a third potion creating modus besides "shake" and "hold". It says add" and means you have to tap and drag one of the potions from the top shelf into the big flask
Hi, Smurfette! I'm on level 31 and for the past two levels, Alchemist Smurf has not given me a quest when I have reached a new level. Is this normal?
Yes, all the special smurfs except Papa run out of tasks eventually.

Android user with the game updated as much as possible and I got the quest for alchemist smurf but when the smurfs returned he is nowhere to be found. Tried logging in and out, restarting my phone, etc. Anyone else has this problem or is this something I just need to contact beeline about? Also, unrelated but I can't see any friends as neighbors no matter how many times I log in and out of facebook. Any ideas on what the culprit could be?

Thanks! I'm able to see my friends now, but alchemist smurf is still missing. Unfortunately trying to submit a ticket just doesn't work, it keeps giving me an error but I've emailed them a few days ago but haven't heard back. Is support@beeline-i.com correct?

Papa smurf and Joker suddenly disappeard after i move Papa Smurf house. Now i'm level 23, when i want to recover my village in lv 10 also unable to get them back. I'm also try to look in move option or in random village but unsuccessful. Now i don't have task quest……really need help to get Papa smurf back. Any other idea????

Other than that you can get, in rare cases, smurfberries as a gift from Maroc or Jokey. You can not invite friends from within the game, this just makes you post about the game on your Facebook Wall. grumpy has gone from my village. papa smurf told me to do a challenge on a christmas tree and then grumpy was gone. i dont know where he went or if he is coming back. Help?

How soon after getting alchemist smurf will he give you the quest to upgrade? I got him yesterday, but he does not have an exclamation mark and paPa smurf is only giving random quests. I'm itching to upgrade his house, but I read that a lot of people had issues by upgrading without getting the quest. (or has that been fixed by any chance?)
The issue with upgrading Papa Smurf's hut to early has been fixed. Alchemist will now always register the hut as updated if it is, even if you do it before he asks for it. If you have gotten him at the minimum level required, he will give the next tasks for each following level. The upgrading task is the first, so that should come up when you reach the next level.
Hi Smurfette! I know you answered this once before but I cannot find the post…. I have been trying to complete Papa’s quest to harvest a crop of radishes, green pepper and lettuce since Wednesday. I have done them in order like I remember you saying to do but he never grants me the quest. What can I do? I’m almost on level 40 and keep advancing in coin and XP…..will I eventually just finish out level 40 without the quest being complete? Also, if you don’t mind, could you give any hints as to if or when, new levels are going to be added?
You can, of course finish level 40 without having compelted the quest, but you can not get new quests. About new levels, I suspect they will be added with the next update, but no official word on that has been given. The next update is not due sometime in January, it might take a while, due to the holidays and such. Regarding your quest. you have not only to harvest them in the correct order, but also at the same time, that means one after another without big delays. If you do not use Smurfberries to finish the crops, it means quite a bit of timing. But then it should really be accepted as completed. Also, make sure you have pressed "ok" on Papa Smurfs task, not "Not Now" or "Cancel" because then he will not register it even if you do it correct.

I was about to buy another Barrel of Smurfberries, when I noticed that ALCHEMIST smurf, MARCO smurf and GROUCHY smurf were nowhere to be found in my village..?? I'm level 26 and I have PAPA smurfs upgraded house as well as the new land expansion. Where could they have gone?? Is this game even worth spending my money on anymore… Are these bugs that will be fixed???
Marco and Grouchy missing is due to bugs in the latest update, the Grouchy thing is still investigated, Marco should, according to Beeline, return after about 7 days from when he went missing. As far as I am aware though, Alchemist missing is not a known bug. If you are sure he is gone and you have not just not seen him (look for him in path moving mode) you can use the recover village tip to restore to a point were he was still there, though you will lose some progress. Whether the game is still worth for you to spend money on is something you have to decide for yourself, though.
I am positive that my Alchemist is missing, and has been for at least a couple weeks. as for marco, i haven't seen in weeks as well…
Are you sure Marco is not in a friends village? Because he should have reappeared after about seven days. As it has been weeks, recovering from an old village will probably not work. In that case, I would suggest you contact Beeline directly (support@beeline-i.com) They might be able to help you further.

As soon as Alchemist comes to the village he will ask you to upgrade Papa Smurf's Hut, after that tap on the house, and at the bottom there will be the upgrade button.

I am in level 33,just upgraded to winter village, i cant find alchemist smurf, i still have papas white hut with stars. I dont. Know when did i lose alchemist,i thought he will come back.
Papas hut only have the 3 potions.
Recovery didnt get me back to tge point when i had alchemist, because of the winter upgrade.

I am in level 39 and Papa Smurf's house is already upgraded but I don't see Alchemist Smurf and the potions in the lab has the first 3 only. I couldn't make the other potions that require Alchemist Smurf.
Does Papa Smurfs House have the white roof with stars? In the potion game, can you scroll to other potions and the magic flask or can you not see that options at all?

I am at level 24, just updated to the new iOS 5, and i lost my alchemist smurf. any idea how to get it back? my papa smurf's hut is still white with yellow stars, but because alchemist smurf disappeared, i don't get to mix yellow potion anymore.

Plz Help! It's driving me crazy!!!!! How do you pass mixing the green potion? I see where it has the double ended arrow meaning to shake it, but what does it mean when you have the one sided arrow????
1 arrow means to slide your finger back in forth,
2 arrows means to shake your device,
and remember do not do those actions to fast or to slow
Also when there is no arrow and it says "Add" at the beginning it means you have to drag one of the three potions from the top shelf into the flask (the one that is not transparent at that moment) to continue

Im level 24, and I LOST alchemist Smurf. He's nowhere to be found. My papa smurf hut still says that I need alchemist smurf to try and make the "New" potions. But it has the yellow stars with the white top on his hut. does this mean he's just temporarily gone???
It sounds like something has been corrupted, have you installed the latest version of the game?. If so, i would advice to use the recover village tip (instructions here: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/smurfs-village-gui… ) to restore to a point were you still had Alchemist, you might loose some progress, but at least he will be back. I am not sure if it is temporary, people who have lost for example Papa Smurf's Hut had to do the recover thing to get it back, it was not temporary, so I assume it will be permanent for you, too.
Is there anyway of manually adding alchemist?
No, you have to complete the quests from Papa to find him, there is no other way to get him
The same thing happened to me but the recovery mode did not work for me… I also lost scaredy… What else can I do?

i can never drag the potion into the flask, why is that so? I'm at level 28 already and never once did the it respond… is there something wrong? : (
You can only do it when the game says "Add" and there is no shaking indicator. Also you have to use the right one of those three potions (the one you need will become less transparent).

I did the update and got Alchemist. He gave me quests at first but I have gotten nothing for the last 2 levels. Anyone else having this issue?
Like all the other Smurfs that give quests except Papa Smurf Alchemist runs out of new quests eventually, so I assume you just finished all of his tasks
But he ran out in about a week. I think I had 5 tasks from him. Even when I level up and get a new quest from Clumsy and Grumpy, Alchemist does nothing.
I do not think I got more then 5-6 quest from him either, though I am not sure anymore. Anyways, he can be obtained at level 23, and then gives probably a quest for a couple of the following levels, but if you got him on a higher level, you will get all of them in short time, without having to reach the next level.
How can I get up levels faster without having to buy and use a ton of smurfberries? I'm on level 17 and it always takes a while to get to the next level
plant plant plant it always works for me i get up levels heaps quicker if i plant loads of stuff. it may take a while for the stuff to grow but i usually plant before i go to bed so they are ready in the morning!
Just plant stuff and then advance the clock of ur ipad, and everything grows faster

Hi Smurfette, thank you so much for your reply and do accept my apology for the reposting as this is my first time submitting my query and was trying to figure out how to do it effectively. Apologise for any inconveniences caused. Can you please tell me how will Papa's smurf's tasks be rolled out coz I tot this was only in the beginning when we first started this game. I'd not seen anything coming from Papa smurf's except the exclamation mark on his head asking us to go to the bakery. Papa Smurf always has the ! above his head. This means he has a task for you. On every level there are 2-3 quests he gives that come with a little story, if you have finished them on a level, you will get random quests. If you have ignored his quests, you will have to complete all of these story quests, because they include getting the new Smurfs (Marco, Clumsy, Grouchy, Alchemist, Jokey are all found this way). If he is now asking for you to play the bakery game (or to bake a certain item) you will have to finish that and then continue on until you get Alchemist Smurf. That might take you a while, though

You have to complete all of Papa Smurf's tasks (the ones that come with a story) until he sends some Smurfs out to search for Alchemist, he will then join your village. Also make sure you have the latest update of the Game. (As a side note, please do not post the same thing/text on different topic pages (and sometimes with different names) again and again. Just be a little bit patient. Therefore I have deleted all of your post that had the same text except this one)

You also have to complete all of Papa Smurf's Story quests. If you finish the quest to play the baking game, does the next one come with a story (picture of two or more Smurfs talking to each other) or not? If so, you have to complete them all until he gives you the quest for Alchemist

As you can read in all the comments on this page it is an error that many people are experiencing and there is, at the moment, nothing you can do to fix this.
I aslo have the same problem I updated Papa Smurfs Hut when I first could, and now Alchemist Smurf is asking me to update it and cant see that I have does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make him see I have updated it
You can't. .This is a bug that came with the last update and you will have to wait for Beeline to fix it.
After I reached level 24, Alchemist Smurf asked me to upgrade Papa Smurfs house, which I have already done. I restarted my Ipod and still couldn't get him to see that I have already done what he's asking. Then I tried to move Papa Smurfs house and it then it disappeared!!! I restarted my Ipod again, I tried multiple trouble shooting tips and nothing! I then had to recover my village and in result of that, I lost a lot of XP points and had to go back to level 23.. Any ideas on why this happened?

When there is only the "ok" button it means you pressed ok at the beginning when the task came up and this is not the reason for the issue. It has something to do with the latest update and you will have to wait for Beeline to release a fix.

Yes, they did. If you update to the Halloween version the quest will be marked as completed

It works the same way as before (i.e. shaking the device or the flask until the colours match). I had some trouble at the beginning too (the colour did not change or there was no arrow to indicate the right colour) but after restarting my device everything worked fine, so maybe try that?
how do i get marco smurf? I haven't seen him in my village yet but I have Alchemist

After you have gotten Alchemist Smurf he will give you the task to upgrade Papa Smurf's house, then just tap on his house and choose upgrade at the bottom
When got alchemist smurf, I was able to automatically upgrade pap smurf's house, but now I get the quest and nothing I do seems to make him realize I have already done this… Can anyone help me?

Many people are experiencing that at the moment, so I assume the developers will work on a fix, but nothing has been released regarding that yet.

Then the next quest you get (after finishing the current one) will first be to look for Marco, and right after that comes the one for Alchemist, you will still get them
what are the new potions that we gift neighbors worth? Orange,green and yellow. I like that they may be as good as the flower pot but doesn't take up space because it vanishes when a Smurf picks it up. Thank you.
You can delete the potted flower after placing it once, you will not loose the XP/Coins it gives. The orange potion gives 500XP, the green one 325 XP and the yellow one 200XP

This is a new bug. I'm on level 45, and had already planted some hanging lanterns. After update to 1.3.5 iOS Alchemist is asking for 3 more to see clumsy, which I did – nothing. After updating the next day (!) again to 1.3.5.1 iOS I even planted another hanging lantern -still nothing.
Will there tomorrow be a 1.3.5.2 ?
it's the festival lanterns! I had already one (2 poles with three lanterns hanging between them), but Alchemist Smurf ignored it. Bug!
try to reboot your device and after that try to buy another one and are you sure that he only ask for one so he dont want more then only one
Um, didn't the quest say to place THREE lanterns, either that or you needed to place it AFTER the quest is given.
I have reached level 37 now and placed more then 3 hanging lanterns but my quest is still not complete
The lanterns that you need to place are the Chinese festival lanterns hanging between the two red and white poles. You need to place three sets of the lanterns. They are in your main build menu to the right of the loom for 75 SB. The lanterns cost 1500 coins each.
