Day and Night Mode
ByThe latest update of the game (version 1.1.3 from September 2011) has added a new Day and Night Feature.
This feature can be enabled or disabled in the Options Menu (Main Menu à Options à “Day/Night On” or “Day/Night Off”.
When the Day and Night is enabled, the village (as well as all of your neighbour’s villages and random villages) will get darker and darker until, at midnight it has gone completely dark and the lights in the villages are glowing.
At the moment this feature is not tight to the devices current time, but to PST (Pacific Standard Time). That means, depending on where you live, it might be night in your village even though it is day outside. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
This last version is very very slow especially during harvest.
I have had that issue at the beginning as well, but it got back to normal. If you have not done so, try restarting your device, that might help speed things up

So yes.. I’m in Australia where time is of course different to USA is there anyway to configure Smurf time so my day & night are actually my day & night?! Since the recent update when I play my beloved Smurfs during my day it’s dark dark blue! Then at my night the blueness gets lighter!!
Yes, the theatre has been removed with the update and the developers are planning on adding something else instead in one of the coming update, so there is no way for you to get it back. The Problem with Day and Night is that, at the moment, it is timed to the PST timezone. There is nothing you can do, it is the developers who have to fix that with an update. The only thing you could do is to set the time on your device to PST, then the time of your device would not be your realy time anymore but the would be dark when it is dark in Australia. However, that is not really a longterm solution, considering that the clock would be wrong. You can of course just disable Day and Night until it is, hopefully soon, fixed
Using my iPhone4 I’m having trouble with login got the beeline screen and frozen so can’t get off it but was working well last night….have rebooted device and still the same
Can this be sorted as I like playing SV I know things have problems but since update things have gone a little crazy…
First, please try the tips on this site: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/f-aq/crashing-app-… If that does not help, Beeline has released a statement saying that the problem with crashes might be fixed if you update your device to iOS 4.3 If you have an older device and it says up to date with a lower ios version you might have to wait for a fix in the next update. If you use GameCenter, try to reinstall the Game, that helps sometimes.
Is snow available on asian region? PST did Lol
Snow was available around Christmas time last year, so if they will readd it, then probably with the december update.
Is this only for iOS? I don't have any of this stuff on my Droid.

Not able to download the last version (Halloween) via itunes in Germany.
But this is just since this version – any clue if this can be solved somehow?
You could download it via the App Store on your device (or Itunes on your computer if you did it via the device). Although, if you did it via the App Store, try restarting your device, that helps sometimes.

If you have the current version of the app, go to options and there turn on Effects.
My day and night mode was off and when I turned it on all my progress was erased and I had to start the game all over again.

You need the latest version (the Christmas one with the snow). then from the main menu, go to options and turn effects on.
I can’t seem to find the Day and Night mode in the Main Menu – Options. Is there a way for me to activate this?
In the Christmas version, as it now includes Snow as well, it is called "Effects". Just turn the Effects on.
Has anyone noticed that when the smurfs have completed their farming at night, they go straight to their houses until day is in effect? It looks really neat
Yep, it is quite nice, this feature was often requested and has been introduced with the Christmas (Snow) Update. But now I always feel bad if I let them work over night instead of letting them go home and rest
