Doctor Smurf and the Animal Sanctuary

Doctor Smurf and his Animal Sanctuary become available from level 9 onwards on the mainland. To obtain Doctor Smurf, simply buy his animal habitat from the build menu and place it in the village. The habitat itself is available for only 100 Coins.
Doctor Smurf is not a stationary smurf, which means he will walk around the village. His animal sanctuary enables animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs etc. to come to the village and live there.

The animals will live inside the habitat, but they sometimes come out and walk around the village.
The Smurfs interact with the animals on occasion, such as petting them, feeding them or even riding on their backs around the village.

If you have the berries, go to your build menu within the animal sanctuary. The animal that cost 225 smurberries gives the most amount of xp every 8 hours.
Does anyone know why dr smurf walks around all day with an exclamation point at the top of his head? Even after I touch him, he says to visit the animal sanctuary and added, he still has the exclamation pint? What can I do to get rid of it?
Have you actually tapped to visit your animal sanctuary? If you have, he should be issuing you another quest.

Hi , doctor smurf gave me a mission to add an animal to the animal sanctuary .. I have eight animals out of eight i tried to remove animals and buy another animal but the mission never completed ..! What can i do?
The animals you need are animals for the sanctuary. Try to "lure" one with the tree stump next to the sanctuary.
How can I do this? I've got a mouse and a squirrel. Sometimes animals are in their world, sometimes they are in my village. But doctor smurf still wants me to add an animal to animal sanctuary

Try recovering your village to a previous version where there is only one doctor smurf. Go to the blue Play menu and tap Options, Tap Papa's head 16 times. Tap Recover Village and preview the files to see if there is one with only one doctor smurf.
What happens if i release One animal?? Can i use the money paid to purchase it, and does the feeding get lost also??
It will just be released, i.e. gone, you do not get the money back, nor the food.

Unfortunately, you cannot choose which animal you get.
Try buying the squirrel that is in the log, it’s in the flower option past the caterpillars.
What 's with all the smurfs in the sanctuary. One for each animal. It's getting very crowded in there.

I don't think it is a bug. It's possible that there is supposed to be one smurf to tend each animal. It seems to me in my village that there is a one-to-one correlation.
I agree! I think it gets crowded. The smurfs should leave the animals in their "sanctuary" in peace lol
Why do i always get mice? I have 83326872378323678 mice-.- i mean not really but i have A LOT of them…and i want something like a bear or a bird but i always select peanuts(cause i don't buy smurfberries so i use them for really special things).and one other thing i want to ask…what's the purpose of that animal sanctuary? It gives xp, that's what it does.
Mice is the most frequently caught probably because it's the least amount of XP. Just release one when you get it and try again. The cost of the peanuts goes back to what it previously was since you didn't keep the animal.
It gives XP, but not relatively much when you consider how much coins you are spending. They are cute though! I am trying to get one of each animal so I'll put out peanuts once in a while and try my chances.

I have Jokey smurf with doctors orders : Collect some food for Doctor Smurfs friends. Harvest 50 Carrots. I have planted over 100 carrots and I still have the task, is there a glitch or do we need to go somewhere else to harvest the carrots?
I think you should recover ur village by clicking options in main menue and click on papa smurfs head 16 times and then click "Recover village" and choose a one of them ..

It's purely due to luck, no guarantees.

The sanctuary is in the menu you access from within the game – the one with the hammer, and under the first tab – the one with the little mushroom house on it. In my game it is 10th item shown and costs 100 coins.
It's really cheap; costs 100 coind.
But if you think about the cost – it costs a lot or even a fortune; cause growing food and feeding the animal is so expensive by time and leveling up the animals : 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, an so up to 1296 food point multiplied fivefold for a level/animal. a lot of coins for the low village levels – for sure.

Hi I hope someone can help me please. It's about the Animal Sanctuary. A couple days ago I was at level 39 moving on to level 40. I was very excited because I seen the new birds and bird houses that I could get and it told me that I can get it at level 40. So I figured I would be at level 40 by the next day so I tapped on the stump and put out peanuts for 24 hours. I am at level 40 now and the bird is on the stump so excited so I click to keep him and it tells me that i have no room for the bird. I tried to delete one of the other homes like the stump, the cave or the tree and it won't let me delete. What should I do b/c I would like to buy a tree so I can get the bird that is sitting there waiting for me to keep him???? Thanks please let me know if there is a way or do i have to wait to see if they make the other homes so you can delete them????

I don't know when the next update is but it usually appears after 2 or 3 weeks.
I even cannot get the bird. i tapped it 5 times, even i got the tree. every time waited for 24 hours, and finally got a mouse or another animal, not the bird !!!!!
You have to realease one animal to let another in

You have to release one of the animals in your sanctuary, then you can delete one of their habitats and place a tree so you can get the bird. If you do not want to release an animal you have to wait until you can place a new habitat. (unless you have reached the max. number).

Just to tell you to put a treat there to attract an animal. It's irritating, lol. I just ignore it to the best of my ability. You don't HAVE to put something there. It's just as annoying as Scaredy always having that exclamation point over his head.
How often do I need to feed the animals? they keep leaving the sanctuary. I feed them every hour!
No worries. There is no time frame or how often you need to feed the animals. It is normal that now and then they leave the sanctuary and roam around the village.
There is a picture of a carrot in a White box bouncing above the tree stub of the Animal Sanctury. Does anyone know what this means??? I thought it was telling me to buy an animal that is attracted to carrot cake but it’s not.

Same problem & no idea I also can’t figure out how to add a bird. I have a tree but peanuts don’t seem to attract birds in my sanctuary.
Katherine, you have to buy the bird from the sanctuary shop (it’s the third tab along). They cost smurfberries tho!
It means you need to get a new animal.

It's just an icon to indicate where to tap on the stump to attract critters.

I am on Kindle fire too. They update a bit slower then other devices but maybe it is good because they get the kinks out of the way. You should now have the Dr. Smurf update and hopefully soon we will get the miner smurf update.

I Have two animals, they are in level 10, but now I can't feed them…it's a bug or I have to relese them.????
Level 10 is the max, don't release them, you won't get any xp anymore if they're released.
The other day I went to buy strawberries but I did not get them I've just got to check my bank statement to see if u took money x
When my crops would not harvest because the time stopped, I deleted the crops and planted some more and now they are working fine.
I am losing surfs. Lost 10 and replaced them. Have already lost 3 of those. How do I stop this from happening?
Also the crops Not continuing to grow on the island when you return to the mainland is very annoying.

Same problem here! I have 6 animals in sanctuary, and doctor smurf keep telling me to add another animal. Every new peanuts is more expensive than the last one. Now it cost 6800 coins!!! Is it a bug, what to do?
Can you explain why when I click the bouncy star every 8 hours on the habitat, one of the animals jumps out and runs around gaining 5xp for every step. I'm not complaining! I just what to know why and if there is anything I can do to increase it?
Also, is there a particular trick to catching any other animal than a mouse? I have lots of mice!

the animal gives you xp with running around the village with 5xp above his head.
and i think the trick to get better animals than a mouse is to buy more animals.
how more animals how better they get.
You can release mice… some that you already have and when you attract one. It will lower the cost of the peanuts too. Then just keep trying and keep what you don't have yet. That's what I've done so far. I have about 7 animals that are all different this way.

You need to attract new animals or critters into the sanctuary by tapping on the tree stump next to your sanctuary in your village. Once you do that, a menu should pop up to ask you which treat you would like to use to attract the animals.

i am missing lots of smurfs…even more than ten when i updated my smurf village..can we delete this…the sound is too annoying also..
Try to recover your village. Go to options, tap Papa Smurf's head 16 times, a recover village button appears. Press it and you'll see a list off saved villages. Select one preview and if it's yours recover.

The new update is a little wacky. When I plant my crops it seems that there are 2 smurfs on most of them leaving no smurfs for my gardens. I don't want to have to buy more smurfs. Also, there are great things that come up they are just asking for too many smurfberries for everything.
The bug is fixed when you log out and in. Also we're expecting a bug fix update from Beeline.

It is not a bug. You will need to harvest them all at the same time.
My dr.smurf is tasting put out peanut treats but when I tap the sanctuary I am not allowed to touch anything.
Have you tried tapping on the stump? Not the sanctuary. This has to be done outside the sanctuary.

The latest version of smurfy village is very buggy but not all of them are bad. I have found 2 new ones. One allows you to get unlimited xp at around 200xp a time and the other allows you to get free smurfy berries. I have videos of both if you are interested. But I am a little reluctant to pass on the berry one at the moment as I’am still using in and don’t want them to patch it yet.

Since the latest update I can not open the app. now all my crops are withered and I can't even play, thanks a whole bunch!
If you use game center you can try to delete the app and install it again but you can only do that if like a said before have game center or if you have an backup of your game somewhere else. I fyou have game center and you delete the app you are gouing to strat from lv one again but after a few min you should get an option that gives you your old village back agian, its always a chance that you can lose village so have that in mind
Try doing the tap on papa smurfs head in the main menu screen. mine did this to…i tapped on pappas head until a recover box popped up then went in and chose last time it played right..best option
One of my problems is when farming crops some plots use more the one smurf, using up all my extra smurfs.
It's a bug that will be fixed soon.

I had this sanctuary all wrong! I get it now….I get xp every 8 hours but I am not required to feed them every 8 hours. Duh oh.
I reported a bug with my sanctuary: a smurf is entering it and the bottom of a message is folowing him and when i touch him a message pop up and they write tracker is gone to the forest to get ingredients and he never get out .my question is how will he get out of the sanctuary please reply fast i'm hating this smurf
Beeline is going to release a 1.2.6.1 update that will fix most off the bugs but not all.

You need to buy a home for each animal. Inside the sanctuary you can purchase them.
I am not happy with the new update. Soccer is not working correctly on the island either!

Reporter Smurf keeps saying that I'm not connected to the internet, so I can't get any more rewards after day 1. ???? Same goes with Tracker Smurf saying the same thing. Still not able to get gifts from friends and this has been ongoing since June. I AM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET…..!?

I am having a problem harvesting crops since i downloaded the latest update. On my island the crops will not finish. It took me over three hours to harvest magic blueberries that are only suppose to take an hour as well as other crops I’ve tried to plant. It seems like every time I am not playing the game when I go back into it the game the crops restart themselves like i’ve just planted them. I also cannot get reporter smurf or tracker smurf to work.
I've the same problem as u. The crops took a million years to grow when it's an hour for strawberry. My soccer game also Has problem. It doesn't allow me to play smoothly.

I have similar problems on the islad, if you do not pick crops when they are redy right away they will star the process all over again! Total mess!
My crops on the island aren’t growing either. Problem with the timing. Can’t get Reporter Smurf to work either. Hope they sort these issues out soon.
I saved 30 smurfberries but i cant choose a smurf. Farmer, brainys hut, clumsys hut, hefty, tailor, nat, lazy, smurfettes summer hut, farmers vagon, harmony, sasette, wild. Which one do you prefer? I know they are too Much but please help because i dont want to waste my precious smurfberries. I need someones advise. Please help.
If you have lots off gardens, choose Farmer. If you don't have lots off gardens but you want to get more xp and gold from them choose Brainy. If you have/want lots off flower boxes choose Nat.

You can earn up to 855 Xperia with harmony, but only if you buy that special trump for extra 20 smufrberries.
Don't buy lazy smurf -it's a waist of time and money. If you need XP, I'd suggest clumsy a hut, you can play often and it gives you up to 2000 xp

I can't imagine not having farmer, but clumsy gives good xp. I personally would spend my berries on logs that give me xp a couple of times a day with an easy tap rather than playing clumsys game which is time consuming.

Clumsy hut will give you a lot of xp. Over 1,000xp every few hours.
Dude that was a hard decision for me so I just bought some smurf berries and I like them all for different reasons. Eventho the painter smurf game is my least favorite because you don't get a lot of xp points but you do get to change the color of your huts. You should just buy some smurf berries when there on sale. lol
somtimes its better to wain because of the "sale"s . u may get it with less SB's.

Clumsy is good – not likr farmer, as said up it's time consuming; but gives a lot of XP's.
Come on just jailbreak your device I've got them all all all not one I did not let one singil thing!
Jailbraking your device can cause some errors or even make devices corrupted and Beeline doesn't care about the problems of those villages and neither do I.
If you want tons and tons of XP each day,buy Clumsy's Hut.If you want extra XP for your smurfs each day,buy Smurfette.If you want to decorate ( huts and plants or whatever!! ) with pretty,pretty colors,choose Painter.If you want crops to be better,choose Farmer.But if I had that many smurfberries as you did,I would buy Painter.
I've noticed for a while now that I have to stick around until every crop is planted and the image of the planted crop must have faded off before I leave the island. I donT have to wait for each and every smurf to be at their plot though. If I dont do this I get the same problem.

The only bug that is bothering me big time is that the time on my island stops whenever my smurf app is closed! Need to harvest tomatoes as 1 of the tasks given by the message in the bottle, had done so overnight but this morning they were only watered for mere 7 mins. Had to leave the app running 24/7, seeing the smurfs working hard, in order for harvest or building to progress on the island.. Please fix this soon as well or else i wouldn't be able to build/harvest anything on my smurf island… Thanks!
At one Point one of my animals started running around my village and got XP everytime he passed a Smurf…how often does this occur and what do I have to do to enable it again??

Since I've installed this update to my iPad I couldn't harvest any crop from the island , the growing time is stuck for example if it needed 8 hours to fully grow the growing time will look like 7 h 44 min .. And if I exit the game and come back after 8 hours the crops didnt grow, it is just the same as I left it before 8 hours

I completely have nothing to talk about the lastest update because it has a lot of bugs and it totally kill the game. Million of user cant see their plant grow up, and me too. Im so so upset when the 8 hours tomatoes cant grow up even I grew them 4 days ago, and now nothing ‘s happened. Godness, whats wrong with the editor ??? Gonna say goodbye with this game soon.
