Buddies can also gift seeds when they visit. Gifting seeds to a user that hasn’t unlocked it yet instantly grants them access to that particular flower. It’s a great way to plant higher XP flowers without shelling out Smurfberries for a Nat Smurfling early on in the game. i saw a tiny floating watering can on top of my flower pot, what should i do in order for the flowers to give XP again? Does it needs a smurf to attend even with this tiny watering can ?
Tap the watering can. A smurf will start watering the flower again.

How does the lawn mower work, is it supposed to increase the area of extra XP or something, I bought it but it doesn't seem to stretch to many flower beds..

You have to be level 24 to harvest them. Only when you've harvested a crop once you can give seeds.
Do I get xp when friends water my flower boxes? What is my advantage to them watering them?
You don't have to pay coins for getting xp again
I don't ever seem to get xp when friends water my flowers though?!
You need to wait the time the flower needs to grow to get the xp again.
