With version 1.1.8 (second island update, version 1.0.6 a on Android) it is possible to get a messages in a bottle. The bottle will wash ashore about once every week and give tasks, which, when completed within the given time limit, will give rewards.
These rewards include pieces of the totem pole, which lets you controls the weather on the island, as well rare decorative items, coins etc.
I completed one miab last week and I got one wash basin for my one smurf village and green bench for the second and this week again it shows me the same rewards in the quest for both villages I don’t know when beeline is going to solve all this… I mean same reward for one village can be coincidence but it can’t be coincidence for both of my village!!
Am loosing miab also as wells surfs. Since last update downloaded am now unable to get into the game
MIAB gone again!!! I have had this thing diappear 5 tomes now! I only had my latest for 2 hours and its already gone! I am on level 39 and I am updated with version 1.2.2.1. My battery was low on my ipod and I had to log into gc a couple of times, but this should not affect the MIAB quests. Disappointed with how this weekly feature works, oh I mean, tries to work!?
The last 2 updates should have fixed those bugs but they're still there. Let's hope it will be fixed in the next big update.
Does anyone know why I am not getting any MIAB? I don’t get totems I don’t get clockwork parts even when i send rafts out. Someone please help!!!
I am sure that the bottle quests don't work. I am not trusting it anymore I keep losing smurfs for a couple days then the bottle is completely gone. The bottle quests have some sort of glitch. I am waiting for them to fix this for months now…………Please have an update that will fix this………..Thanks.

Can you change what u receive from miab? Right now it’s telling me, I will get a hopscotch board. I already have one and don’t want another.

No it’s not fixed. I just did the latest update and my message in a bottle disappeared today after completing the first quest….it’s very frustrating. Especially when u have to grow like 90 crops of tomatoes!
Today, I actually completed the MIAB quests before the bottle disappeared! This is the first time after 4 or 5 weeks, it usually just disappeared after the first quest. I just received a hopscotch. Does this mean it's fixed?

My message in a bottles keep disappearing before they are done and when they are done it says that it is NOT complete! What is going on?
Do you have any idea how much I spent on this game and every time I clicked on the message in the bottle, it dissapeared….it's the 3rd time in 3weeks, I must confess, this is frustrating after waiting for soo long, I exit the game cos I had a lot of running apps, went back to my island and my message was gone….common that's not nice, what's the point playing the game then!!

I get a notification saying a MIAB washed on shore, but when I go to my island, there is nothing there. Why is this? What can I do to fix it? I get the message once a week, but have never seen a bottle.

My MIAB has disappeared 2 weeks in a row. I’m very upset about all the problems I’m having like missing smurfs, rafts and items that cost berries. I will not get my money back or my items back and it’s unfair I spend my own money just to have the items go missing. Why should I keep playing its like throwing my money away
Today, I got a message in a bottle. The quest was to send 3 smurfs for a certain amount of time. The message in the bottle left and I didn't get my smurfs back! What should I do?
Today's update (1.2.2) not only has not solved the MIAB bug but it has renewed it. Last week i was able to complete the quest that remained undone when the 1.2.1 update was released. But this week, i have updated my app before starting the new MIAB quest, and some hours later, the MIAB has disappeared again….
I supose we will have to wait again for the next update in order to see if beeline has solved the MIAB bug…, as the totem quest is active again with the 1.2.2 update….

I tried it 5 times and gave up because it didnt give me the totem pole piece. It gave me green chairs twice, a flag, and something else. You might have better luck than me
I was on the fourth task of my quest and my bottle randomly dissappeared along with the five smurfs that were on the quest. How do I get them back?
That a bug in latest update. Ignore the bottle quests until next update.
I know that they will return but what puts me down is that I lost one quest and chance of completing my totem…. Now will have to wait one whole week… This week is a waste now!!!
I've had 3 pieces of totem for over 1 month- now all my bottle quests are for clockwork- my bottles are now disappearing as soon as i start growing something- I also have grouchy telling me to grow 30tulips- well I've grown over 100 & he's still telling me to grow 30

I completed one quest after update of sporty and I got a green bench; now that I got a new bottle on Friday my 6 smurfs disappeared when I sent them away in forest which was second task out of four….
Any body else having problems with message in bottle since sporty update – mine keep disappearing after about 16 hours or part way through first objective

MIAB washed ashore yesterday and instructed to send out 6 smurfs for 24 hours. Now bottle has disappeared and smurfs along with it. Suggestions? Thank you.

so it seems there was no fix for the disappearing MIABs, I assume tomorrow's bottle will also be glitched & smurfs will disappear if sent out on quests unless there is a fix update in the morning before the bottles arrive
The same thing happened to my daughter last night!!! Garfanel attacked her village and then brainy smurf burnt down papa smurfs hut so she got a new one. But everything was green!! She had 5 smurfs wandering on a green screen and a floating piece of river. She has never cheated either. She restored her village as well and shes scared her village will get attacked again too. Anyone else experiencing this as well?

I have so far had on message in a bottle which arrive after the update before this latest one and was completed sucsessfully since the new update No bottle so I can't be tempted to try it.
I persuaded a friend to get smurf village so they could gift me bolts they got their village after the latest update and are on level 12 so don't yet have acsses the the beach never mind the island and today they received notification that a message in a bottle has arrived on their island.
smurfs disappear and reapear on my island I have rafts that don't work. the bugs in this game where funny at first but they are fast becoming beyond a joke.

Few days after i got the new update, gagamuei just attacked my village. I got all my houses and decorating items lost but with 72 smurfs wandering around an empty island, eventually i just restored the game to couple days backward. What i want to know is the gagamuel attack is just bug or there is probability this may happen to all players? I am really worry he attacks my village again.

I am really disappointed to see this reply, because i had never cheated on the game, i spent almost a year to play and arrived to level 32 plus a lot of berries purchased. I was trying to visit my friend's village (village with a Marco smurf medal) at that day, but the game just told that this village needed to be updated, i quit visiting my friend's village and pressed the button on my village and gagamuel attacked me! Was this considered cheating? when user just trying to visit their friend's village?

bottle quest has bug in latest update. Nobody can finish the bottle quest this week.
I had this same problem with MIAB, sent a smurf out for 30 hours & the bottle disappeared, however it seems my smurf has somehow returned without me having to restore my village, although the bottle has not. I have 38 smurfs on my island, 4 are out on rafts & 1 is exploring the island for papa smurf and it currently says 33/38 available so it looks to have righted itself. I have emailed beeline with my concerns & they said they are looking into it, but I am starting to get a bit disheartened with the game, especially since I still can't receive gifts from friends to complete clockwork & I lost 72 bolts which is almost a full piece when I updated my game!
yes, I also noticed that, my smurf who went out came back. But right now still no bottle and my rain totem which i paid 100 smurfberries for still not working. Well, just give Beeline some time to fix this.
totem pole is now missing "make rain" button for everybody. Hope beeline will fix it in next update.

Since I upgraded to the latest version for ios , I had a message in the bottle show up and the quest was to send out 3 smurfs, so I did but today when I went to my island the bottle is gone and so is my smurfs! They should have been gone for 24 hours which should be up now, but there still gone and I don’t know how to get them back!!
Same thing happened to me, yesterday I had a bottle and today it's gone! I am so frustrated, all I have gotten is 1 totem pole piece and a green bench From the Miab quests. My stinking bottle has disappeared on me twice now!
This is a bug that Beeline is aware off. Ignore the bottle for now.
I recieved my message in a bottle yesterday, after I had updated to the sporty smurf update, but I asked to send 2 smurfs for so many hours but after a few hours the bottle disappeared and my smurfs haven’t returned. Help needed.

Mthebbottle washed ashore and I started the quests completing one yesterday. Today the bottle has disappeared. I updated to the latest version of the village 2days ago. Is this a bug?

A notification on my Ipod pops up saying a message in a bottle has washed up shore. When I go to check the island, there's no bottle??? Im level 23 btw.
before updating my village, i received the miab of the week and the first task was sending 4 smurfs out for sth. After i sent them, i updated my village. first i lost my bolts and even the blueprint for cloakwork smurf. then i relized the miab (this time it didn't have an exclamation mark on it) and when i tapped on it, i received the blueprint. after that the miab of the week disappeared HOWEVER my 4 smurfs didn't come back
did anybody else experience the same thing? do you think they'll ever come back.

yes that's the problem I had. 2nd task was growing melons I think. Melons are still growing, but will receive no xp as bottle disappeared!
One step forward, two steps back for Beeline. First it doesn't work, then it does and now it doesn't. This has to be one of the least tested updates to date.
I use my iPad in the house and we have wifi connection every time.

thanks again. i restored my village to the last saved version. i didn't lose much progress (i just lost bolts i have received today) but something weird happened: when i previewed the village, i could see all my smurfs there. but when i recovered it to that version, i didn''t get my smurfs back :/ i'm still missing them. isn't it abnormal?

Just fed up with all their bugs, i think beeline should refund all the money i paid for berries plus compensate me the time i spent with their glitchy game.
What do you mean by "cheat"? does it mean jailbreak or?? is this a new punishment implemented in the latest update? this Gargamel attack or Brainy burning down the village?
I think you are right, as this is the second week in a row the MIAB disappears. I've been reading beeline web and it does not seem they are working on it (at least, it is not listed in the "being worked on" problems). I hope this is not true, and they are working on it, because it is very annoying.
I guess you're referring to the time cheat. The time cheat is changing the clock on your device so you can speed up things.
These things were already added in the previouses updates.
Hopefully they will fix this in the next update.
Had the same thing happen to me. How do I restore the village to yesterday or whenever? Without restarting the whole game, 'cause I definitely don't want to do that.
I think I did….
What I try to do is… since I got the MIAB last friday… I keep offline when I was in Island… still can use online mode at village doesn't not have any affect of MIAB… (send and receive gifts to/from friends)
But I try another IOS device and online… since I start the first mission… after in and out the Island… the bottle will disappear… hope this little hits can help.
so does that mean it will be better to ignore the MIAB quest for now? I have a bottle and quest to send out 2 smurfs now. I am afraid I will lose 2 smurfs I do send them out.

Thanks brainy!! I am aware of that an u know may be once in 10 or may be more but still it was a chance which I missed or I can say I did miss a gift though!!! I get disappointed when such things happen but again it’s a game and error does happen even with great game developers…. I hope beeline addresses this in new update I come!!!
