Reporter Smurf

In the Smurfs village the Doctor Smurf update (version 1.2.6. on iOS) also added Reporter Smurf to the village. Reporter Smurf is available from level 4 onwards on the mainland and can be obtained by completing a quest from Papa Smurf to go and find him. That also means he is absolutely free, costing neither Smurfberries nor Coins. Once Reporter Smurf has been found, he will walk around the village and tapping on him opens the “Daily Smurf”, his newspaper.
Every Day, for opening his newspaper, he will give a different reward such as Coins, Wood and other supplies, XP etc.
To get this reward simply click on “Accept” at the bottom. This way regular players will be rewarded. We do not yet know if there is also the possibility of getting a Smurfberry reward.
To get the bonus the game has to be connected to the Internet (to prevent cheating), otherwise the “Daily Smurf” will still appear but the bonus will be unavailable.
Unfortunately, at the moment, there will sometimes be a message that there is no Internet connection or that the clock is set wrongly even though everything is correct. In that case, it might help to wait a bit before trying again or reopening the game.
Even though there is a “Tweet” button in the Daily Smurf, a twitter account does not have to be set up to get the bonus and have Reporter Smurf in the village. When tapping on the tweet button without having a twitter account, a message will appear that the tweet failed.
(Also note, that if you have a Twitter Account set up on your device, it will ask you permission to access the account when you open the game. At the moment there seems to be a bug that causes the message to appear everytime the game is opened)
I also have viewed The Daily Smurf several days in a row and can not receive any rewards except for Day 1. What’s going on? Thought this would work since the update. Is this another bug that needs to be fixed?

After planting 'whatever' on the island, all of the smurfs are still walking around, time is standing still, nothing will grow.
But…after 7 months, I can finally receive gifts from my friends again /
Ok, my daily smurf is gone since yesterday, after i claimed the second gift from him. I thought he will come back today, but unfortunately no.. i have to recover the game and lost two days progress, plus a blueprint given by jokey.. so frustrated.
Same issue- almost. Got to day 33 and the prize was the blueprint. Now he’s gone. Really hate to loose all that progress. 33 days is a long time!
Papa Smurfs asked me to find Reporter Smurf in the village.
He is nowhere to be found!!! I cannot continue papa smurfs quests until I find him!
What should I do?
He wears a brown cowboy hat and should be able to be seen walking around the village. If you really can't find him, it could be a bug and you should wait till the next update to find him.
I've the same problem. No reporter smurf in the village. I hope this bug will be repaired soon.
You have to find reporter smurf by doing Papa Smurf's quests.
The Quest is: "Find reporter smurf in the village!" but he's nowhere to be found. Perhapes a bug???
Reporter smurf has been missing from village for about a month now I’ve done all the updates and he still hasn’t reappeared

I have had the same problem. After the most recent update I was able to get reporter smurf. Now I haven't been able to go past day 1 though. I should have access to day 3 today but day 2 still has not opened and I have been checking it. Are we supposed to check that http address that is listed? I got the impression that only hitting reporter smurf and reading the paper was all that is required. Perhaps a new bug…

Got the 1st day prize. The second day, I got the day 2 prize. The third day I got the day 2 prize. Big deal. But now on the fourth and fifth day, I keep getting the same prize!

I'm sorry to hear this. Perhaps consider submitting a trouble ticket to Beeline. They may have advice for you on this subject: http://beeline-i.com/support.php The only other thing I can offer is to suggest that you reboot your device daily (if you're not already doing so) and to make sure you're connecting via WiFi or mobile network on a daily basis.
The restarting of the device works as a palliative. Tying the reporter to the device's IP is a horrid bug since that means people can't be mobile with the device otherwise they will lose their previous work with it. Hope Beeline will fix that in the next versions.
Yes it's still on going. I have had the same problem for several months now. It is still showing that I am on day one every day. It's so annoying.
Does miner smurf get you anything for you village in smurfgrabber? What a waste if it doesn't ! Still there are other things to get from the Grabber.
I have done the papa smurfs quest of sending 3 smurfs away for 24 hours 3 times?? Keep getting the same quest
I don't know why the quest won't complete but there have been a lot off issues with quests involving rafts.
Ah, ja, it seems to be not only frustrating bugs, like the one, which offers smurfberry sales items who should at least running seven hours. Today i was several times in the game and got the offer from hefty house, lazy smurf, storage hut every worth five smurfberries off and a little deco- dragon.
I also won't give up my little miner smurfs bug.
1. grouchy is asking me to harvest 30 boxes tulips, I've been harvesting forever now and the task isn't complete yet. what to do?
2. smurfs missing, there are still several smurfs without work but the count says 0 already, need to close the application and reopen again to see them
3. reporter smurf doesn't work, my clock timing is correct and internet connection is ok.
4. crops are not growing according to their time, you have to be in the island for the timing to work properly.
5. Marco, Alchemist, Tracker, Doctor, Reporter, Jokey and Grouchy combined in one smurf, it keeps on flickering between those characters.

my reporter smurf won't work, even though everything's fine and i waited a day like advised. I suspect that its another punishment for "time cheat" however i dont use that. HEEELP!!!!!!!!!!<>

I've NEVER been able to play Reporter Smurf. Ever since it came to the village, i;ve NEVER been able to play even Day 1. I have never done the time cheat and my internet connection is ok.
This new update is full of bugs and my game is getting slower and slower… it's FRUSTRATING! I hope this will all get fixed. I wouldn't mind having an update that takes care of all bugs even without any new item or new quest for the players — AS LONG AS THE BUGS GET FIXED.
Have you seen the smurf with multiple personality disorder? He is flickering between Marco, Alchemist, Tracker, Doctor, Reporter and Jokey some 'walking' in the opposite direction of where the 'smurf' is actually going? If you haven't seen him in your village yet, check out your friends' villages. One of them is sure to have him. He may even have other smurfalities. Any suggestions of a name for this smurf? Perhaps Psyco Smurf?

You may not notice him at the standard view but if you zoom in after all the regular smurfs are working you may find him. Interestingly you will also see the other smurfs he is impersonating also walking around. I think in you own village he is the one who has like a white ( from the back) or coloured yellow circular background (when you look at him from the front) behind him, almost like a sombrero that is on the back – kinda strange explanation but I noticed that weird looking smurf in my village. Any name suggestions?
He is the one with a circular looking 'hat' / as big as a sombrero on his back. It looks white when you see him form behind and yellowish firm the front. Funnily you will also see the other smurfs he is impersonating walking around the village. Any name suggestions?

Try to recover your village. Go to options, tap Papa Smurf's head 16 times, a recover village button appears. Press it and you'll see a list off saved villages. Select one preview and if it's yours recover.

Smurfs dreys are so hard to collet every time I get one I have to use it and it's gone and I'm not able to get another one for so long.

*smurfette asked to grow 20 flower boxes,task completed only when i finished growing 60!

My crops on the island wont grow unless I'm on the island, which is making my battery die quicker and I need those crops cuz everything is so expensive on the island!!!!!

When I log on to the game I sometimes get Traker Smurf saying the XP Event is over when it never even started.

I am sorry to hear you are going through so many bugs….but Beeline has sent a bug only update to Apple a few days ago that will address the major bugs we are all experiencing. So, hang on.

The blueprint rafts don't bring blueprints often, you have to be very patient.
mine is about the same it says the ssoup event is over when i never even started and i notice in dr.smurfs sancutuary and on the island the is a smurf there with an exclamation point with what looks like when u click on papa smurf or any smurf that gives u quest or even have the changes between 4 or 5 smurfs like jokey, clumsy, dr.smurf, etc. and aalso reporter doesnt give me any awards and i barley do the time cheat and also on the time cheat if i go 2 days ahead it stil says bad device time but when i go back it hasnt done anything at all it will still say for example 35hours 9mintues and however many seconds left and wont change at all unless i go for one day go back the go back change it back to the original date then go back and do it again it will work

Try to plant al 20 at the same time and use blue tulios it seems like those works best

Device time is incorrect and not connected to the internet (Reason i didnt get my first “FRESH BAG OF SB” as was to be given by Reporter Smurf)… Huh???? gather some woods, send my mail, and Go fishing—–> all these NOT DONE because ALL MY RAFTS STILL HAVENT CAME BACK!!!!SINCE LIKE AROUND 4 MONTHS AGO???(i already forgot since im not that keen anymore in playing the game, sad fact that i used to. im on level 41 and i dont like to start again… the thing why im still on this game?TO CHECK IF MY RAFTS ARE BACK and maybe if they do i will have the same drive as before to play again…sigh….BEELINE do something about this…and why did you limit the area that could be viewed both on the island and on the main village?the previous SV is much better without updates i suppose… and i thought that if more people will play SV the more exciting it will get as a COMPLIMENT to the players. but beeline does the opposite…oh well…another DISAPPOINTMENT….
When i visit my village tracker,papa,reporter clumsy marco and brainy walk on themselves papa never wants a quest neither do the others but reporter says your connection is rong ans my device is off time but it is on time and my network is on

I got a smurfberry for tweeting on the first day. I also got reporter smurf’s gift on the first day. But now it’s just sends the tweet( and works properly) but no sb. Also, still says “today” for the first gift of coins and “tomorrow” for the next gift. For three days now. I don’t always have an internet connection, so not sure if it’s a time-on-the-Internet thing. Same with tracker smurf. I saw him once about 6 levels ago and never again. Does this game “count” time connected to internet? Seems strange!
Reporter smurf works for a few but not everyone.
Since the clumsy smurf update, all of my crops, palms, flowers, etc. all wither well before they should. I can plant a 24-hour crop, and within an hour or so it has already grown and withered along with everything else that was growing at that time. I have spent a ton of smurfberries to restore the growing crops and palms.
Reporter smurf does not work. It says my clock timing is incorrect or my Internet connection is bad. Both are fine.
Also I purchased smurfberries, for which I was charged but never received. I've sent several complaints to beeline, but nothing has been fixed.

Reporter Smurf has still never worked for me.
it only worked for me the first time when i updates the game since then it hasnt worked on my iphone, my hubbys iphone4 or my daughters itouch4. =/ its aggravating. and another thing is ever since i updated when i tap on smurfs it goes all the way to the orange screen that says beeline and then it goes off and back to the iphone screen i tried everything and it wont work =/

Beeline is going to release a 1.2.6.1 update that will fix most off the bugs but not all.

Smurfette game on the Island won't work anymore. There's just the smurfs in love but tapping them doesn't bring anything.
Crops won't grow on the Island anymore. So the quests won't be able to solve.

Pushing the tweet button automatcily places the message on my twitter-account, it does not ask for permission. Never did.

I only have that error message that you all are talking about sometimes but I can't get the tweeting to work at all. It says "the daily smurf was not tweeted. please check that you are connected to the internet and that your device is logged into Twitter" do I have to install the Twitter app to get this to work?

Just to inform you guys: I had a smurfberry symbol next to the tweet button. After I twittered the message of reporter smurf I received a smurfberry.

My Internet connection is fine, I'm on twitter, I've closed and reopened both, turned iPad on and off, and other than first time I did it it tells me I have no connection, or clock is wrong.
Since I got the reporter smurf all of my crops on the island have stopped growing when I'm not physically in the game. I've got about 1,5h left for eggplants to grow since yesterday morning. Anyone has similar problems? Any solutions?

Same here! Crops not growing without having the game on, tracker has been in the game only once when he was introduced and reporter has that error message.. Hopefully the update comes soon!

Not only am I get that problem, with the crops not growing properly, I am getting the timing error, and I have yet to have Tracker come back in almost 2 weeks. It keeps saying I need an internet connection. I have one. It's seriously frustrating.

I've found that after planting my crops if I tap the icon at the bottom right of the screen to visit another village but then return back to my own that I don't experience the crop limbo problem. It seems to happen the most if you've planted crops but leave the island before every Smurf reaches his plot to start it.

So the problem is known and they're working on it.
It doesn't work for me either. However, bearing in mind, not ALL bugs are fixed in this update, as Beeline has stated.
