Smurfs village Christmas and winter update (version 1.1.5) is live

Christmas theme is back to the village after almost one year Winter and christmas update (version 1.1.5, iOS only) was just launched by Beeline.
Many new holiday quests and seasonal decorative items were added in this update such as snowman, snowsmurf, Christmas trees , in addition to a new snow bunny critter. You will find in also in this update:
- New, free land expansion at level 26: After all of the “Christmas” Quests have been finished, Papa will send out 5 Smurfs for 72 hrs. to get new tools for Timber Smurf. After that his hut can be upgraded for 7500 Coins. Then a new land expansion is added to the East.
- Sort your friends in the neighbours map from A-Z, Z-A or by gift. (i.e. neighbours not having yet been given a present come first) by tapping the button at the bottom right corner
- Falling Snow: Turning on “Effects” in the Options Menu lets it Snow in the village. The snow on the ground is always visible and can’t be turned off.

I have been trying to update to version 1.1.5 but my smurf app is not responding to the update. what should I do?
Restart your device. If that does not work, download it on your computer and sync the update to your device.

You should fid it in the star shop and its a fake smurf with snow covered with it, but its not the smowman, theres 2 different things
How can I earn smurfberries cuz jokey won't give me any
The only other way then getting them as a gift from Jokey or Marco, which is happening really rarely, is to level up. Everytime you reach a new level you get Smurfberries. Level 1-10 means 1 Smurfberry/level, levels 11-20 means 2 SBs/level and from level 21 onwards you get 3 Smurfberries per level
I'm having a problem when trying to access my friend's village since about a day before the upgrade. I get an error saying problem with village data and check your internet connection. My connection is fine. I tried to log in and out of gc, restarted the game and device several times. Every once in a while I can access a village but when I try to water or gift it either crashes or gives me an error. Anybody else have this problem? Any idea what to do?

Restart your device, that should solve it.
When my pumpkins and tombstones disappeared from my storage shed, they were replaced with yellow potions. And now I cant get rid of the potions! They can't be removed from the shed like everything else. Any suggestions?
This has happened to many people. There is nothing you can do, you have to wait for Beeline to fix it with an upcoming update.
My grouchy disappeared after the Xmas quests and hasn’t reappeared even though I have finished all the Xmas quests and expanded my land. Does anyone know if this is a glitch or does he eventually reappear?
Try restarting your device, that usually helps with those kind of issues. It might be a glitch, I have heard from a couple of people having this issue.
I have a couple times and he still hasn’t appeared has he appeared for anyone else after disappearing after the Xmas quests?

So I tried recovering the village and he shows up in the previews but then when I actually recover it he isn’t there. It also happens in the previews of the saved village versus the game center version. He shows up in previews but never is in the actual village. Anyone else having this issue or any other things you can think of to bring him back? Thanks.

After winter update if I send a friend a gift they do not get it, i’ve sent 2gifts to same person and they have sent me, no gifts appear. I also cannot find Marco in my village nor my friend (no medal)

To upgrade the christmas tree click on the base of the first christmas tree you placed in the village. A box will pop up asking if you want to upgrade it.
I assume you have to find Grouchy to upgrade the Christmas Tree, but he is nowhere to be found. Anyone finds him let us know!!! Could be a bug???
You can update the Christmas Tree without Grouchy, just tap on the bottom of the tree and an upgrade window will pop up. Regarding Grouchy, I can find mine, try looking for him in Path Moving Mode, maybe he is just hiding very good. If you continue to not find him, restart your device, that often helps with those kind of problems
I am missing grouchy from my village right now and I tried restarting my village but I cant find him anywhere

There is nothing you can do about that, this is happening to many people and Beeline is aware of it. They must fix it, though

As you can read in the comments on this side, I have given the answer numerous times. You can update the christmas tree by tapping on it at the bottom of the tree. You can only update the tree that costs 750 Coins
What is a shrub ?? Also i can not see where i can get new land (space), because you would get it afterlevel 26 and i'm at level 30.

I just got my Christmas update and papa smurfs christmas quests are not showing up??? When can I do them ???
What quest are you on know? You have to complete all of his previous storyquest to your current level before the Christmas quests will start.
I can’t see the more Free Land of my neighbours. I just can See the tree. Why???
Because they probably have not yet finished the quests to get the free land.

Can you not see your land or that of your friends? If it is only your friends, it is also possible that their online version of the village has not updated yet. That means they should play the game for a while so that the current version is saved online. There are also quite a few server issues at the moment, so it is possible that this has something to do with them.
Has anyone else noticed that clumsy smurf has been turning to a yellow caterpillar when he falls?
Yeah, I have that too. Seems to be a bug, but he just turns into a caterpillar for a second or so, though it is not really a big deal.
I got the Christmas update, but I have no Marco smurf in my village or any of my friends villages, and I also have papa smurfs upgraded hut I'm lvl 25 but no alchemist…….
I just notice this same issue. Marco was there after the update, he wandered to a different village, I found him, he gave the gift, but then never actually returned and is now gone permanently from my game. I wrote Beeline about it.
It is kind of weired, my Marco for example is still there, but there seem to be more bugs like that, I guess we just have to wait for Beeline to fix it.
My Marco is also gone. I had him for a few days after the update, he did not want to go to another village….but where is he now?
It is a bug, there is nothing you can do about it at the moment, you have to wait for Beeline to fix it.
Can you pls pls pls include the gazeebo in the items that could be bought! I can’t seem to det it! All i have is the thanksgiving statue and the swing but how about the gazeebo! My village would be a lot better looking with the gazeebo…
We are not the developers, hence we have no influence which items are published. Regarding the Gazebo, you can try the trick here described here: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/smurfs-village-gui… but it is possible this has been fixed with the latest update. All the other items were published on a timer basis, so it is possible the Gazebo will be released, too. But we will have to wait and see.

Can level30 expand the land for free? What is haystack?
Yes, all villages above level 26 get the expansion. The haystack can be found in the Shop, it is a pile of hay with a fork in it.
Are people also having problems with android and the village. It seems we are on a different planet than the I pad. Users
The Android version was released about a year after the iPad/iPhone version and has not yet had all the updates because Beeline still has to catch up with that version. Unfortunately there have not been any information regarding the next Android update.

Go to Options, there manage friends and click on the red circle next to the name of your niece, that will unbanish her.

I think it is more of a homage to "A Christmas Carol" with Grouchy being and looking like Scrooge.

Beeline has not yet announced an update for Android.
but are they gong to do one? Would really like to see the christmas theme available for Android users!
As I said, there were no information released, that means we do not know if they are going to do one or not.
It is pathetic how Beeline treat Android users. They collect your money but no intrest at all to upgrade their service level. Only Apple adept and thinking.
I can understand your frustration but you have to consider that the Android version was released about a year after the iOS version and they have to adapt it for the different Android platform, so it takes a while to catch up on everything. The plan is, according to Beeline, to eventually have the same features on both devices.

As you can read in the comments from all the other people having the same problem, you have to tap on the bottom of the christmas tree to get the upgrade window
Do you have to be at a certain level to get the land expansion? I'm at level 25 and I have completed all the Christmas quests but Papa Smurf didnt ask me to send out Smurfs for tools….
Yes, you have to be at level 26 (at least according to Beeline's update description).

Papa is telling me to check out the new smurfs website, I feel that I have done this, but papa still won’t move on to the next task, does anyone know which website I am supposed visit and what we are supposed to do there?

You have to click visit on his task. Also I have had the task twice, so just do it again, that should help. You are not supposed to do anything, just wait until Safari opens the site after you click visit, then go back to the game to get the task to complete.
I also can't get past this – Safari does not open up. Is the link broken? I've closed the app and restarted my iPhone, still no luck.
You have to click "Visit" on the quest window, then it should work. If it does not, restart your device and try again.

okay. i saw my marco smurf this morning but now hes not here anymore, and it should've disappeared to one of the villages cause marco disappears when my acorns are ready to harvest. has anyone else's marco smurf disappeared? like literally?
I noticed the same with my Marco smurf.
What is more I am not getting presents from friends and I am not getting a notification that flowers were watered by them. I am sure that I should have got that.

There are still issues with visiting friends and receiving gifts/water from neighbours. Beeline is working on it, but there is nothing you can do about it at the moment.

Yeah! updates, that is good news. I have not seen them yet but will be on the look out. I was getting borred; finally made it to level 25 (it took for ever) and then, nothing new, so this news is great! I also just read that the Smurf can go into their houses; woo hoo! not sure if it is based on my suggestion (I made it about a month ago) but either way, I am glad to hear is in place.

It is a snowman that is not a man, but a smurf. You can find it in the shops (for example in the last shop with the star icon).

My Baby Smurf is still there. Do you mean he is missing from the shop or did you already buy him but can not find him in the village? If it is the latter, I suggest to look for him either in Tailor Smurfs Hat Mode or in the Path Moving Mode, that makes it easier.

I have read about this as well, but unfortunately I have not seen it myself yet. It is quite a nice think to add, though, just like the Smurfs sitting on the benches etc.
Yes, so I've noticed it only happens at night (when the lights turn on). If they complete their crops in the night, they go into their houses. Cute!

I think it has, as I know of at least four people for whom it does not work anymore (that is he can only be found once a day for them). But I have not yet had the time to check for myself. But you have to expect that he can only be found once a day for you as well.
He appears fixed for me. No more exploiting him!!

Before the update there was a glith with Marco Smurf that made it possible to find him in a friends village even though the 24 hours wait were not over and the medal was not there. This seems to have been fixed, which means he can only be found in villages that have the medal sign and only about every 24 hours.
Smurfette is right. In 1.1.4 Marco was glitchy and thus was not functioning correctly. In the 1.1.5 update, he's actually behaving as originally intended.
I am having the same problem. He has disappeared,. They may have got rid of him, because it has been 2 days now, and even brainy smurf has not given notice that Marco has disappeared into a friends village and to go find him, like he usually does after 24 hours. The last time I saw Marco smurf disappear into a friends village and I went and found him, was on Tuesday. It’s now Thursday and he is in no friends village or mine, no medallion showing either
Can you see your friends villages? Because there are quite a few issues with that at the moment. I am sure Marco will reappar.

The Marco thing is happening to more people, a Beeline employee is supposed to give a statement in their support forum sometime tomorrow. Brainy is now wearing a costume, maybe that is why you can not find him.

I can get into all my friends villages fine, and continue giving them presents and receiving them, but Marco seems to be no more! No more medallion. Brainy is wearing a green coat with almost a wreath looking thing on his head, and he isn't saying anything about Marco anymore, as has been 4 days. P.S. my smurfs started going into their houses at night, so cool!

I was getting messages from Brainy that Marco was in a friend's village but I don't have friends on the Smurf app. Does that mean that I will not be able to find him?
Yes, if you read our article on Marco Smurf you can find out how he works. You need at least one friend to find him.
Mine also always like that.sometimes brainy will ask you to find Marco smurf in one of your friends village

You can buy it in the shop, either the Smurfberry Shop or the "Star Shop"
found him, he is only listed in the star menu & the only option for him is 75 berries

I really do not understand what you mean with "buy" gifts. You can give gifts to neighbours and receive them from neighbours, but not buy them.
look at the post above…there's a statement in the guide that says..

what does this buy gifts mean?
Ah, okay. That seems to be a typo and should mean by gifts. i.e. it will show the friends who have not gotten a gift withing the 24 hours time limit yet first. I corrected the typo.
What is a magic shrub?
A magic shrub is a tree(to arvest acorns nuts oranges,… etc) there in the 1st shop

I’m at a point in the christmas quests where Papa Smurf asks me to upgrade the christmas tree. I’ve tried everything bust just can’t find out how to do it. Help please
It is the one Christmas Tree that you can only place once (the first from the left in the shop). You have to tap it, but it only works if you tap the bottom of the tree. Then a window will pop up and you can upgrade the tree.

You mean you have already upgraded the Christmas tree before the quest came up? I did not know that was possible, are you sure? Does your Christmas Tree now have the star at the top? Because only then it is upgraded. if not, you are probably just taping on the wrong tree as only the one for 750 coins works.

Look in the fourth shop (with the star icon). It is the first tree available there.
I think you have to tab the basement of the christmas tree. If you cannot tap the christmas tree, then you must zoom in it enlarge and try again. You can do that!!
I did exactly that. But the pop out comment is : ALREADY PLACED, YOU CAN'T PLACE ANOTHER CHRISTMAS TREE IN YOUR VILLAGE. Th eoptions given are "OK" and "BUY". Please help!
You do not have to tap on the tree in the shop, but where you have placed him in the village. Tapping any items in the shop just buys them.
