Smurfs village version 1.1.3 (September update) is live now

Finally Apple team has released September version (version 1.1.3) of Smurfs village game after a long wait. As it was expected new Smurfs; Marco Smurf and Alchemist Smurf have joined the village at levels 16 and 23 respectively, as well as many exiting features.
- Marco Smurf comes to the village after a quest from Papa Smurf (3 Smurfs for 12 hours need to look for them) and then he goes visit a friends villages. If you find him in one of those villages (a medall next to their name shows in which one he is) and tap on him, he goes back to your village and gives you a present (for example a Smurfberry or XP).
- Alchemy (Alchemist) Smurf comes to the village after a quest from Papa Smurf (3 Smurfs for 24 hours need to look for them). Then he gives quests and after Papa Smurfs house has been upgraded the new potion game will be available
Also, after many confusing it has turned out that the Alchemy’s house is Papas house after it has been upgraded. In addition to that according to beeline the extra Smurfy goodies which were added in the latest update are:
• Marco Smurf now appears at level 16. Find him wondering in a friend’s village and click on him for an XP reward.
• Alchemist Smurf added at level 23
• We’ve refreshed the potion mixing game
- 3 new potion game difficulties
- 1 new potion game mechanic
- Magic flask which makes potions easier to mix
• A Smurfy new Day/Night feature that you can turn off from the options if you want.
• A new Ladybug Critter
• A new gift icon on that map screen that indicates which friends you haven’t gifted yet
• Three decorative items

I agreed, games does not work after updates (iPhone). Any solution? I'm at level 28.

I not able to access my smurfs village after the sep updates and I'm at level 28. Help I don't want to loose my game.

To get both Marco and Alchemy you have to send Smurfs into the forest for however many hours and when they return they bring back first Marco and then Alchemy.
It asks you to plant a shrub (even if you have already planted one) – worked out it really means a tree for 2,500 coins – then you grow acorns etc on it.
Night and Day doesn’t work for anyone not in the US.
Papa Smurf just asked me to plant some Green Peppers, Radishes and Lettuces – did all of those and it didn’t change – not sure if this is a bug or not but will trying planting them all to harvest at the same time and see if that works?
Night and Day works in Canada.
Day and Night works outside the U.S., just not at the right time (i.e. day when it is really night). Did Papa Smurf ask you to plant all of those three at ones? Ususally he only asks for one crop. The task is complete once you harvest that crop. If it hasn't worked yet, please post the text of the quest, maybe we can figure it out.
I have the same prob (not being able get into village). Have sent email to developer but no reply as of yet. I am still getting notifications but cant get into village. My alchemist smurf has returned/come to my village with a big trumpeting announcement but I cant even get in to meet him. Very disappointing. Friends must be able to see my village as I have had friend requests through game centre since being ‘locked out’.

The game is a little slow since the update, but I can live with that. What sucks is my iPod turns off now when I turn on the game on my iPhone.
That has always been like that, i.e. playing music while playing was not possible (at least not by default, there were tricks to get it to work anyways). I think it has to do with the memory usage and will probably not be changed.
I knew it was like that with the iPhone 3GS but I upgraded to iPhone 4 and was surprised to hear my music continue when I went to the game. Not since the latest update though…
On my old iPhone 3GS and on my new iPhone 4 the music never kept playing for me (But my iPhone 4 is one the iOS 5 Beta, so it might be due to that). That is really weired, and too bad that it is gone, I would've liked it if that could work for all of us.

He should be back in a friends village every 24 hours or so, everytime you find him he gives you a new gift. If he is at a friends village more often, it means he will give you a gift more often

I have a question about featured villages for the Smurfs game..
My village is at level 37 nearly 38 but I don’t know how to be one of these featured villages which Capcom is choosing.
Could you please check my village and add it to the featured villages if you find it nice and perfect??? Because I find my village is better orgenized than most of featured villages there.

Capcom/Beeline have in the past participated in village decorating contest were the winners could become a featured village. Other than that no information about their criteria etc. are available. You will just have to send them your information and ask to be considered for featured village. You can reach them at support@beeline-i.com
I have to say that I don't think we should be forced to give my friends names or e-mail addresses so we can have all the characters in the game. I tell all my friends about the game but I do not try and make them play it just to help me play it. It is up to them if they want to download this game. And We shouldn't be penalized because they decide not to play this game. I have been playing this game in good faith and don't understand why I need somebody else playing the game too , so that I can have access to all the games characters ( Marco ) being the character now. What will we have to do in the future, just to be able to play all of his game. Beeline has set a bad example with this option. I hope they will do the right thing and change this problem, so that I ca still give this game a Good recommendation.
Well, it is part of the game to connect your village via Facebook or GameCenter. Just like only your neighbours can water your flowers. You do not have to know the people in real life, Beeline has made a list were people post who want to be added as neighbours here: http://getsatisfaction.com/beeline_games/topics/t… You can just add them as GameCenter friends, they will not get anything but your name (no more information like email address etc.). If you do not want to add someone you do not know personally you could also create a second village (via a second GameCenter Account) and add yourself. Then just leave the village on level 1 (makes it very easy to find Marco).

I will try what you suggested and keep on telling everybody how good this game is, especially how well people's complaints are resovled in a timely manner. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

I found Marco Smurf, he said "meet me back in your village, I'll give you a gift", I went back to my village but nothing happened, anyone help??
When I got back an automatic window poped up (just like with the gifts after tapping on them) that said he had a gift for me. That did not happen? Maybe you thought it was just a gift from a neighbour? If it really did not happen, you can find Marco again tomorrow, so see if it works then
Disappointing update 100 smurf berries for a ladybird – greedy smurfs!, Day and night doesn't work it's 8.15 am here and village still in night mode and I want my movie theatre back.

The theatre always said it was temporary and will probably not come back. The developers said on their Facebook page that they are planning to use the memory space it frees up for something new, so I guess we have to see what they will add.

I like the new day and night version, except for the street lights aren't any brighter then they are in the day time. The house lights are good, maybe the street lights should at least be as bright as they are. As sad as this sounds, I don't have any friends playing this app yet, so does that mean I won't be able to get Marco smurf back again. Other then these items, I do like the update., so far.
Yes, as far as I am aware it means you can not get Marco, you need at least one friend/neighbour to find him.
I can not get my village to load! It keeps freezing and crashing. The one time I did get it to load it’s extremely slow! What a waste of an update if it’s not even usable. The performance is horrible I guess there is no QA process for these updates. Very disappointing I wish i could switch back to the old version.

Thank smurfette! I restarted my device twice and now it seems to be working normally. I really like the day night feature. The night village looks really nice!
I installed the update and now the game isn’t working anymore. At all. It goes up to the menu page (if youwait fo over 2 minutes) and then freezes all the buttons, so you can’t access the game. Does anyone know ho to fix this? Or does anyone know if there will be a patch to fix this in the very-near-future?

I still cant see my neighbors. I play on my iphone and have friends on gamecenter. They disappeared before the update and after update they r still missing. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have a problem with the new update on my ipod. Since I nstalled the update, the game keep crashing. I see the "beeline" orange screen for a few seconds, and then it goes back to the apps page, without opening the game.

Unfortunately, nothing works. Does it means that I have to wait 'til the next update!? How long can that be?
The exact time between updates can vary, so the developers have said that they are trying to release one every 4-6 weeks. You should definetly contact Beeline's support team, they may have another tip for you on how to help you. You can reach them at support@beeline-i.com

Do you know how much XP the new gifts give? To my surprise, I got the orange potion as a gift from a neighbor and it gave me 500 XP! I guess the potted flowers are no longer the smurfiest gifts! And for some reason I thought the lower the gift in the line of gifts (as you scroll to the bottom of the gift section), the more XP/coins they provide. Apparently this is not so, because the orange potion is at the top of the gift section/list.
I'm glad the orange potion provides more XP than the potted flowers. Hopefully, I'll receive more of this potion instead of the flowers…my village has become overcrowded with these, and I had to start deleting some of them (this made me feel guilty:).
Anyhow, does anyone know how much XP/coins the new gifts provide?

The yellow potion gives 200XP, the green one 350 XP and the orange one 500XP. After placing the potted flower, you can just delete or store it, you will keep your XP. I have always done that, cannot have all the potted flowers in my village, there would be no space for anything else left. Before the potted flower was added, the blue mushroom had the most XP and it was not at the bottom, it has nothing to do with that. At the moment the best thing, that is gift with the most XP, is the orange potion

my smurf village will not open. after september update it was extremely slow. very annoying. i installed smurf grabber today to play and it wont even open. ever since i installed smurf grabber, my smurf village won't open at all. i clicked on the link and "If your game Crashes" and did all your suggestions. NOTHING!!! my game will still not open. very frustrated because I could play for awhile because of the stupid grape request and now this. fix it please.
I have been a HUGE fan of this game & I am SO disappointed with the new update. Big thumbs down! The game now runs slower. The green land to beach border keeps changing/shifting around. The update says I need to buy the Golden Pick now when I already purchased it. That is absolutely insane & hugely disappointing to ask for 100 smurfberries for the new ladybug! Also they could have made the ladybug a lot cuter. Who drew this one? It’s antennas are on it’s chin! And the movement it makes, makes it look like it’s arching it’s butt in the air every couple seconds. I know it’s really supposed to be spreading it’s wings but it sure doesn’t look like it. & at first glance it looks like it has one eye. They got the eyes & movement right on the caterpillar & snails! But not the ladybug that costs a mint more & doesn’t give the option of buying with coins like most of the other critters. Also, her colors (shade of red & green) are more dim & not as bright & vibrant. It would have been nice to have had the option to delete the movie theatre ourselves instead of it just being yoinked off our villages like a Grinch-like robbery in the middle if the night. I will say it is nice to have Brainy’s annoying exclamation & movie message finally removed. I’ve yet to see Alchemy Smurf & Marco. (currently on level 37) Also, the limit on critters/Smurfs is disappointing as well. And at level 37 we definitely need more land please. I could keep going. The new update is hugely disappointing!
Please read the article above to find out how to get Alchemist & Marco Smurf. Can you elaborate on your problem with the golden axe/pick? Who says you have to buy it? Is it a quest? Mine still says already purchased. Other than that, you might want to contact the developers/creators with your complaints, as we can really not do anything about it (support@beeline-i is the email address).
I definitely agree with all. I do not have the issue with the golden pick but I have quite a few crashes while planting crops. I also have an issue with new mixing potion games – there is no upper indicator and the potion can not be mixed. Day and night 'feature' is so useless outside US. I do not know why the dev team wasted effort in releasing it when they could have fixed the stabilty and performance issues they introduced. I am quite disappointed by latest game update.
The potion mixing game has a new way to mix a potion. If it says "Add" (when there is no indicator) you have to tap and drag one of the potions on the top shelf to your potion flask (always the one that is not that transparent anymore).
do you know what xp/coin the ladybug offers and how often, not going to waste $10 on it if i feel it i insufficient. thanks
500 XP if you buy it (one time after placing it) and then 350 XP and 35 Coins twice a day.

I found Marco Smurf in one of my neighbor's village! Thanks Smurfette for showing us the pic of what the medal looks like. I was totally overlooking it! AND, Marco gave me a smurfberry!!!!
Smurffete how do I unlock stuff on smurf grabber for smurfs village ? I click on the icon and it jus says try again later for content ?:S seen some of da rare items than can be aquired … I want them !!
The producers said that it would be available once the new smurf update is out, but it seems it is still not working. There has not yet been an announcement regarding when and how it will work, so at the moment you can not unlock the items
i updated burt now the fishing game and handy smurfs game is very slow!!!

I agree with the negative comments regarding the ladybug. $10 in smurfberries – what a joke. $10 should unlock so much more. I would rather in game advertising than highway robbery. This game is worth the initial $10 in smurfberries I paid and they are not getting a nickel more. If people keep paying these prices things are never going to change. I guess Greedy Smurf must be running the show.

No, not at the moment (well exept changing the time on your device). I am hoping this gets fixed soon and the Game will take our local times into account for the day and night modus. But you will have to wait for a fix (if there is going to be one)

I had the problem with things being slow, too. But that fixed itself. For the Smurfs Grabber issue, have you tried to power your device off and on again. That usually solves problems like that.
My Smurf Grabber couldnt start after the Smurfs Village updates too!

Smurfette, i logged off fb & game centre, restart the iPhone4, even turned on airplane mode – i couldn’t open Smurfs Grabbers… Can u help pls… T_T
Many people are having that problem at the moment, unfortunately it seems that there is not yet a solution, so sorry, I can't really help. Just try it from time to time. If the developers announce a tip on how to fix that I will let you know

Like the article says, if you have reached the required level, Papa Smurf will also send Smurfs to look for Alchemy. It is the next task after the one to find Marco.
The Update is nice.. the day and night is nice… but day and night function is not following our local day and night time… i'm day time here (Malaysia) but is night.. hrmm… if i switch off the day and night.. then.. what's the point to have day and night..
The day and night modus seems to follow just one time (probably the developers time zone). I think that is a pitty and hope that it will get fixed soon.

Yeah, after I updated, my game became pretty slow, too. But after playing a little bit and restarting my device, everything went back to normal

I'm having the same issue, even after restarting the device and syncronizing it didn't get better…Just the previous update fixed most of my problems so it would not crash all the time, but this is 10 times worse!!!

Help! I just updated and my movie house disappeared. I realise it was no longer available but didnt think it would disappear (not to be replaced with anything). The little movie smurf is wandering around quite lost
Yeah, the movie theatre is gone and will not come back. Brainy Smurf will now do what he did before the movie theatre was added, that is to inform you when your crops have withered. The creators said they will use memory space the removal of the theatre freed up for another new thing, but no timeline was given when we can expect that.

Night is too dark and a useless addition. Marco is unattainable if you have no friends. 100 theft berries for a ladybug on a leaf……fabulous update. At least brainy is back to normal and the theater is gone.
Night and Day otion does not work for me (it is 1am in france.. And sun still shining in my smurf's village !! )
It works, but not in our real time. If you set your clock ahead for an hour (or wait that long) it will get darker

I can't find marco smurf in my firend(s)' village. What kind of medal am i need to be looking for? Do(es) my friend need to update first?
First you have to get him (Papa gives you the task to send Smurfs to rescue him). After that he says he goes to your friends village. Then in the neighbour map there is a medal next to their name if he is in the village. Your friends do not need to have updated for that.
I found my marco smurf but he's nowhere to be found in my friends' villages (I don't see any medals in my their names). Anyway, thank you for the respond

first, its marco smurf that you find. second, he wears a triangle hat, so you need to look carefully

hm, the download works, but it simply doesnt update in itunes. the app stays on 1.1.2 and the update is still available for download, does it work for you guys?
It has worked fine for me both on my iPhone and iPad. Maybe you should update via iTunes on your computer (or via the App Store, depending on the way you tried it now).
can'T try it via appstore, cause the file is too big. deleted smurfs village from itunes now and reinstalled it, but it is still version 1.1.2…. mysterious… but thanks for trying to help me
Have you access to wlan? If you do, you can download it via the AppStore no matter how big the file is. If not, just wait, I am sure it will turn up in iTunes, too, within the next couple of hours

If you have done all the tips on the crashing app side I can not really thing of anything else that might help, maybe sync your device with itunes?. If it does not help you might have to wait for a fix. Best to conctact Beeline directly, they may have other ideas (support@beeline-i.com).
