The island update is live now for Android players

Beeline (smurfs village game developer ) previously reported that a release of a new update will be available for both platforms (Apple and Android), but they didn’t mention any precise dates. Now after Less than 2 weeks since the island update was released for Apple iOs users, to be followed now by a release of the Android version, which was made available to most Android phones and tablet users via Android Market.
What is new in version 1.0.5a according to Beeline?
Complete the new quests given by Papa Smurf to unlock Dreamy Smurf, the ship and the new island. You must be level 19 or higher to access the island quests.
• Unlock Dreamy Smurf quest and a new island at level 19!
• Explore an all-new buildable area.
• Island content includes: Sassette Smurfling hut and quest, Slouchy Smurfling hut and quest, a new hut for Brainy and new crops for the island.
• New raft feature which lets you send out Smurfs on voyages with a chance to bring back treasure
• Tons of new decorative items
I'm level 35 already.
After a crash while travelling back to mainland, papa smurf's original quest had gone.
Now the quests given by papa are back to the basic.He is asking me to take a photo (800XP) … low level quest ?

I have recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S2 phone to the latest OS – Ice cream sandwich and when I have downloaded the game from market it tries to install but gives the error message "cannot install on either sd-card or phone-memory". Does anyone know why this is or have similar problem? Is there a work-around? Thanks in advance!
Are you sure you have enough room to install the App. If yes try to restart your Samsung Galaxy S2, most of the time it works.

So I posted this yesterday in another spot, and I really need an answer, so pardon me for posting again.
Almost a month ago I tried to update my village, but at that time, we were on vacation and our hotel's Internet kept going on and off. So when I tried to update it, the game froze and became inaccessible.
Now I can only access it through game Center, and it still snows.
Please advise, or at least send the email where I can contact Beeline because I could not find it on their website.

Yes I have. That's when it got frozen. It now been frozen with the update bar empty for almost a week. I found that contact already, but they don't give an email, and I don't really want to mail thembecause it costs money and takes a long time.
It can take some time for them to reply be patient, last time I sent an email to them it took a week for them to respond

No, the game says that I only have 12 smurfs available(pop up). when i select a house. it says that my total population is 12/14. That must be 14/14. Because I did upgrade all of my seven houses.

I had the same issue once on my normal village. Only solution for me was to recover an earlier version of the village and rebuild / upgrade the house again. This time the counter did go up.. Looks like a bug. I don't know if beeline is reading this forum, but they should add some 'smurf recount' in the next update so everybody gets back the smurfs they should have..
I have a similar problem on the island. 12 smurfes but i can only add 10 fields.
,ci love the update b but seen this is my second time working my way up to level 28 my question is how come my exspantion of my regular village is not happen the only thing I can do is go to the island and its boaring alredy?

For those who can't buy gardens proportionately to their amount of smurf (needs more smurf bug), i found solution for it.
Even if the shop states that you need more smurf for extra garden, you just keep clicking to buy the garden will do. Ultimately you will be able to place it. I tried that a few times and it works. Just click even a dialogue pop out. Cancel the dialogue and try again and again
I own a Samsung Galaxy SII. After updating the game I have seen a lot of crashes and now most of my village is missing. It still shows that I am at level 30 and my coin is at the same level. This concerns me as I have not seen any backup option for the Android version and now I may stand to lose all the smurf berries I have purchased.
i have same problem, travelling between island and mainland, my village is missing, only green and Daddy smurf and level 1. I was almost in level 25…. the worts thing is, that game playd my children…. it is tragedy…., i have samsung galaxy note…
Hey I have the same problem. I also bought the smurfberries, at the end I have to reset and start it from the beginning. But all those smurfberries I bought stay still. No worries about it.
For Android players, one way of restoring saved games is to do the Papa Smurf option, which should be applicable to you guys as well. Simply go to the Game menu, options, tap on Papa Smurf's head 16 times, and a recover village button should appear. From there, you can choose which saved state you wish to retrieve.

Hi, I sort of had the same problem. But on the island, i had 16 smurfs, then it took me to 6. I thought this would be solved in the next update, so i waited. But now, on the main village, I still have my smurfberries, coins and level, but the whole village has restted leaving me with 1 smurf and having to do all the quests but at the past level.

ok, dreamy just returned and i now have my island… upon visiting the island for the first time… i have 2 huts and 2 smurfs… i cannot build a garden… i upgraded both existing huts and now have 4 smurfs and can only build 1 garden… the 2nd island quest that says to build a garden completes without me ever have built a garden.. im wondering if there is a bug, or are the first 3 smurfs somehow not count towards the garden count… currently on my island i have 4 smurfs and only 1 garden, and the shop is telling me NEED ANOTHER SMURF to build my 2nd garden… thoghts or ideas?

yeah, i now have 11 houses all upgrade to the 2nd level, 22 smurfs total, but can only build 19 garden plots total till it tells me i need more smurfs.. but thats ok cause i will always have 3 smurfs out busy on rafts… so i dont mind losing 3 plots.

I had the same thing…I tapped the garden in the menu a couple of times out of frustration & it suddenly allowed me to add one. Was able to do this twice. I have an HTC Incredible
Hey guys, I've had the same problem. Just keep trying to purchase this piece of garden for as long as it needs, it will finally allow you to place it. just keep tapping on the piece of garden, then press ok, and repeat this for as long as it takes. Just keep tapping tapping tapping, it will finally allow you to place a piece of land. worked for me.

Try zooming out completely.
I did this and found 4 garden plots with withered plants. I never placed these and think they were there when I arrived to the island.
Where those at bottom or at left side? Sounds believable since once (on first Dreamy sailing quest, no island yet !!!) I've got "Your eggplants are ready to harvest".
P.S. Overtapping WORKS. On mainland too. Will wait until tulips are grown and will try utilise Smurfs on those extra crops.

The same thing happened on the mainland the extension to the "cliff" on the right. I zoomed right out before I was able to access the expansion passed the cliff and found another garden plot. I moved this to the area I could access so that I wouldn't have a wasted smurf.

I noticed that many of the IOS players seem to be facing withered plants problem when travelling between the island and mainland ..
is there any android player facing this problem ?

Hey…..sorry if this question has been asked before…..I have looked but have not found it on here so here it goes: Papa Smurf is asking me to grow 200 crops of green peppers for my next task but I’ve only got 106 smurfs in my village and even less gardens. How do I complete the task????
Just grow multiple times, if you have lets say 50 gardens, you have to grow 4 times green peppers on all of them

When I am zoomed in I cannot see the 4 houses I have built on the island, only two appear. I am on an Android device and have shut down and powered up but it does not fix it. I have to zoom out completely in order to be able to see all the space I have available. I looked to see if this is a known bug but it doesn't look like it is for the Android App. Help, what is wrong with my island?
It is a bug on both Android and iOS, you can only see the complete land of the island when zooming out completly. There is nothing you can do to fix it, this needs to be fixed by Beeline with an update
I was doing the first quest which is ‘you have to build a smurf hut’ and I time traveled forward an hour then went back to my normal time and it said I didn’t complete it. Now I can’t continue the quests and I can’t do anything on the island. I’m on level 20 so I really don’t want to just delete the game. Please help me!!!
They should of never had an update for Android until it was tested. I am at level 25 and the crops wilt on both the island and the mainland, so there is no way to advance on the island. I have also had to recover my village. I guess no island hopping for me until they update!!!
This is not Android exclusive, this bug is also happening on iOS, but weirdly it only happens to a few people, not everyone. In any case Beeline is aware of the issue and it should be fixed with the next update
Hi, i did the upgrade in the app store but when the upgrade finished, the app disappeared from my iPod! And when i return on the app store, that says that the app is already installed. I don't know what to do, can someone help me?
Have you tried restarting your device or resyncing it with iTunes?
I have the island update on my HTC galaxy android phone.
1. When I leave the island…the app shuts down.
2. If I have 20 smurfs and 20plots then why can’t I have 20 smurfs working during the Papa Smurf request for 20 tomatoes for the whale. All rafts are on shore.
I’m having the same issues as described above with the new update. I am using an HTC Inspire. Game crashes when trying to go from island to main village and vice versa. Plant crops, goto island, come back to mainland, and everything withers. Worst part is Papa Smurf on mainland tells me to goto the island, so I do, game crashes, restart, am on island, but cannot complete task. Go back to mainland, again, after another crash, and Papa Smurf still wants me to goto island. Can’t complete growing tasks on island either, unless I stay on the island, but then can’t grow crops on mainland for fear of withering. Have lost lots of coins. I’m sure its a bug, and hope Beeline fixes it soon.

i tried to download or update my smurfs in the market but i failed it says not compatible with your device but how come i can play smurfs and I am using ANDROID phone Galaxy Young errrrr! help plssssss
The minimum requirement for Android is at least Android 2.2, but even if your system is fulfilling the requirements, it is not supported by all devices. You can contact Beeline (support@beeline-i.com) if you want to know when and if your device will be supported in the future.
I woke up one morning had no papa,jokey,no smurffet, lost 9 smurfs total,lost 9 plots of land,I have now built back up to 9 plots of land and 10 smurfs, only games I can play are handys game,greedy smurfs baking game & papa's potion game! what to do before I delete this game for good?

where do i find the smurf village app for android? i can't find it anywhere in the store
If you can not find it in the store you device is most likely not compatible.
You can google the apk file and sideload it onto your device, and it should work fine. They might not have the most recent version up and running yet.
DO NOT UPDATE! Like most people here, I've lost smurfs and next to EVERYTHING below the (imaginary) halfway line, plus my snails and caterpillars. Plus the existing problem of being unable to connect with FB friends. This is getting ridiculous! I'm going to write in to Beeline, and if they can't do anything about it, I think I'll just quit the game.
For those of you who have lost items, please read the following from Beeline. I've got back my smurfs, but crops withered. Nothing changed with the strips or FB. Better than nothing. Will update if I get glitches again.

In the most recent versions of Smurfs' Village we have included a new feature
to help back up data while we look into the source of the lost data issue.
To locate the village recovery tool, at the main menu select "Options." In the
Options menu, tap on the icon of Papa Smurf's face 16 times. A new button
(Recover Village) will now appear. Tapping this button will bring you to a list
of saved village data. From here, you can tap on a listed saved village state and
tap "Preview Village," which will allow you to view the village. While
viewing the village, tapping the red arrow at the bottom-right of the
screen will bring you back to the "Recover Village" menu, where you will
be asked whether or not you would like to use the previewed village's
data. Tapping "Yes" will select the previewed village's data.

i just got the newest update for my andriod and i have a beach but there is no island or boat. How come other people have the island and boat but i do not?

Great update, apart form the hideous instability it’s given us. Crashes out almost every time I use it.

On the island a smurf keeps on saying send out a raft for 24 hours to post a

This seems to be a bug, there is nothing you can do about it at the moment, just try to send out another raft for it to complete.

Since the update i have lost most of my houses, my expansions, trees, flowers, papa smurf's lab, smurffet etc. and my quest started from the begining. i don't have my special smurfs anymore. will this problem be solved? and when? this is begining to be very upseating!

The new update includes rain. If you do not like it, go to the options menu and turn of the effects.
ever since the latest update, my game has reset on me twice. first i lost a few houses, a few special smurfs, all the stuff in my storage hut, my animals for xp, and my quests reset to the beginning. then after a day, it completely reset right to the beginning. not impressed guys. wth?
I'm on the island. My first quest was to plant 10 crops of honey dew, which take 24 hours. I did that around 10pm. This afternoon, I planted Brussel Sprouts in the main village, traveled to the island and my honey dew were withered after a mere 14 hours. I replanted, went back to the main land and my Brussel Sprouts were withered, my acorns were ready (which still needed 8 hours) and both miner smurf and timber smurf were yielding xp. Does traveling back and forth from the island account for a certain amount of time?
No, it does not, but there seems to be a bug which only effects some people and causes their crops etc. to wither when they are traveling from and to the island. Beeline is already aware of the issue and working on fixing it.

There is not yet any expansion. From level 19 onwards you can build one house per level. That means with the max level at the moment at 45, you can build 28 houses on the island for now.

I see, ty. Btw, Im lvl 33 but I happen to have 17 mushrrom houses. Looks like the system doesn't count the first 2 mushrrom houses you get when you land the island.
Since I have updated the island mode I have lost my expansion to the left, my trees, most of my flowers, of my houses, my trees, Papa Smurf's house, Smurffet's house (wich I bought with smurfberries). I have lost al almost everything. what is happening??? I want my game back!

i m lvl 17 and my game think it is lvl 1 n i lost jokey brainy n groucy papa smurf say plants blueberries n i have 33 smurf n i did hard reset and i m on android
Just started the island… it is super glitchy. Not sure if it is just me.
1. Have three houses with first. (500.00) upgrade. Suppose that should be 6 smurfs on the island (not including regular characters), says only 5 smurfs.
2. Can’t put down any farm land, says need additional smurfs, have just one plot, which comes with the island initially. Again, have 5 smurfs standing around.
3. A quest caption will come up but there are no words… later when it is over you can click on the smurf again for their quest.
4. I do have the two green stripes going down my main village as well.
Anyone else having issues with the island? Think I should just restore…
Sorry, must have had too much Sprite during lunch… to edit what I wrote above.
I do have 6 smurfs (3 upgraded huts), just needed to count one more time, but still could not add a plot. Added one more hut and upgraded it, let me add two plots after that. So now I have 8 smurfs and three plots. If this is not a glitch, I might say that it has something to do with the rafts. I have three rafts. So I can put 6 smurfs to work, but 2 have to stand around. Suppose I should place a couple of chairs for them.
Oh, restarting the phone seemed to help the quest captions come up correctly. How about those green stripes in the main village though?
The green stripes are a graphics glitch. Please refer to our "Bugs & Solutions" page here: http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/bugs-solutions/ . Regarding the crop fields, you should be able to get as many crop fields as you have Smurfs, no matter the rafts. But you will not be able to place the crop fields if all of your Smurfs are busy (i.e. out with the rafts or growing crops). Have you tried adding the fields when at least one Smurf is free?
Regarding item 2, I was having this exact same problem.
When I zoomed out completely I found 4 plots with withered plants on them. I used the moving tool so that when I was zoomed in I could see these plots and plant items.
Then when I did the island expansion and zoomed out completely again I found another plot.
I now have a plot for each smurf minus the number of rafts I have.
Must be a problem with how it was set up.

Since the new update I can now see a window saying "Searching for friends…" but it stays there. Even if i wait ~30 min. it still doesn't find any friends. I do have at least one friend playing so it seems the issue is still not resolved. Please post if your facebook friends weren't previously working, if they are now.
The friend who is playing, is he also using Android? Otherwise he won't show up. Also, are you logged into Facebook (from the Options Menu, then Manage Friends)?
Graphics on the beach area is really bad. Will this be fixed?
We do not know, but I assume Beeline will fix it with the next update.
So glad we finally got the new update. Since I have not played it very long this is the first time to see the grass and beach. The sand is pretty messed up with a green line going through the middle of it and a green line going out in the water. Anyone else with android seeing this? I do wonder why the Apple version is 68mb compared to ours being only 25. Seems very strange.

Seems not only stripes in beach area, but also something with scrolling: sometimes when zooming or even planting, screen may scroll most right or most left playarea
After installing the latest update for Android, I discovered what appears to be a glitch in the graphics. The shoreline on the left doesn’t seem to line up properly…there’s a strip of grass west of where the shoreline should end. In addition to the graphics issue, my progress in solving the riddles to expand the cliff to the right has been superseded by Dreamy’s quests. I’m assuming the graphics issue will be resolved in the next update; but, will I be able to continue progressing through the riddles to expand the land atop the cliff after completing Dreamy’s quests?
The island/dreamy smurf quests have taken priority, meaning when they are done you will continue your old quests.
i have the exact same graphical glitch with the strip of grass in the water, and on the beach… i restored my village to the one from yesterday (and it shows in the restore screen clear of any graphical glitches) — but after restore the strips of grass are still both there… im hoping it will clear up after i get to the island, but who knows… just posting to say restoring will not solve this issue.

If you have updated the game the quests will start if you have the required level, just do Papa Smurfs quests.

Sasette is only available on the island. Look through the comments in the Baker Smurf article, there are some tips to be found regarding how to do the quest.

Have you turned on the day & night mode? You need to go to the options menu and set effects to on. The grass is a graphics glitch. Many people have asked for different languages since the game was released in November 2010, but it does not look like this is a priority for Beeline as it has not happened for either Android nor iOS.
What are the requirements for this new update to be installed in a Galaxy GT I9003 phone? It's indicating in the android market that this app is not compatible now with the said phone though the last Valentine update,it was successfully downloaded and updated on the phone. Thanks!

I have the EVO, as well as the MOTO Xoom. I’m a level 28 and have 1800 Smurf berrys. I’m hoping that this is fixed soon cuz its becoming more of a pain then a game After the update I can no longer get to the island. I get in the Ship like its gonna go, then it pauses and reset’s on both devices. Big pain in my butt.
Same problem I cant get to my island, and I keep getting the same quests ive already done, also my village says I have 41 smurfs but I'm suppose to have 42 and whenever i click on one of my houses it says I only have 41 of 42 available.
