After short wait since the release of iOs version, The smurfs village version 1.1.7a (Thanksgiving update) has been released for Android users and is live on Googke play. Android players were very exited after they heard some heads up about the update content from their iOS companions. This update which introduces and features Grandpa Smurf in the village is considered as one of the big updates since a long time. The players are now able to flight using hot air ballo0n and go to the mountains where they find Grandpa smurf. Once they reach the mountains, a new smurf’s life can be started thee under the guidance of Grandpa smurf. Grandpa smurf will give new style of quest and the players need to work them out. Since there is no land in the rocky mountains, most smurfs’ quest will be digging in the mountain to find mineral resources (crystals) and Grandpa old items (glasses, magnifier, …) , in addition to XP and gold coins and much more items can be found in the mountains. In this update Beeline has used a new strategy for the first time by selling items using real money instead of buying smurfs berries and purchase items, however only one item (Handy Smurf’s Resource Machine) is being tested at the moment.

beeline don't care about android players!!when i played on ios i never had this many problems with my game now every time i contact beeline they just saying that they are awere of this problem and they don't have time to fix it it hapened so many times iam thinking about uninstalling!!
It is certainly your choice as to whether or not you play. I'm an Android player as well, and I have noticed we have many of the very same problems that iOS players have. I don't think it is a matter of whether or not Beeline values iOS players over Android players, but you should let them know you're dissatisfied: http://beeline-i.com/support.php. Their answer (that they are aware of the problem and they don't know when they will be able to fix it) is the same answer that iOS players receive.

I feel frustrated to see the advantages ios users get from beeline, i dont get-frequent update, lots of sales, smurf berry presents..
At least, if some bugs come up to ios, they update for fixing the bugs in short time.
Missing smurfs! Anyone else have the same problem still? I was at level 48, and iit said when clicking a hut – that I had 142 smurfs out of 146 possible, just now I levelled to 49. Clicking a hut now, after upgrading hut says 142 smurfs out of 149 possible. I am at char limit for buying smurfs. My hubby plays too and is at level 52, this has never happened to him. He levels, gets a new house, upgrades it and gets the three extra smurfs.
Would appreciate feedback, feels pointless when I dont get my smurfs. Thank you.
If you haven't cheated the game by changing the clock or by other means and your smurfs are disappearing, contact Beeline to find out what they advise: http://beeline-i.com/support.php. Usually smurfs disappear when the game detects cheating via changing the system clock or cheating by other means. I am not aware of a bug in which smurfs disappear.
if i install the last version again will i loose my village?

My Rafts are still appearing as sent on a quest and they never return. Is somebody else having this issue ?
There are a few players with the same problem and the only thing that works to get them back is to recover your village to an date before they disappeard, Go to main menu and tap on papa smurfs head 16 times

If you purchased smurfberries after your rafts disappeared, then the answer is yes; however, Beeline is very good about reissuing lost smurfberries. You would have to open a ticketwith Beeline and tell them that you lost the purchase smurfberries because you had to recover your village back to a date prior to the date you purchased them. You will also need to provide the receipt number.
where do i get the receipt numbers…. i didnt write them down when i brought them….

How do you update smurf village on a kindle fire??
If you have Black Market on your Kindle it will show an "update" available when you tap the button "installed". Normally it happens in this way but by exception the update does't come up.
After having said this I discovered that many have problems with the updated version. It crashes each time.

Sounds like you set it to auto-update and the download failed because you didn’t have enough free RAM and/or storage space. Contact Beeline for further instructions. Make sure you explain what happened when you downloaded and that your data is gone.
No i didnt set any auto update ots manuall update and second i have. Free RAM/storage so wTs da problem. I contacted belline they didnt reply till nw
You may not have enough free ram. I needed 50% of my 724MB free to do the download. Make sure you go into your task manager and clear idle programs. I hope this helps.
I did this still no difference and same issue and beeline said that " wat u r experincing is a bug and is not da experince of the typical user. taking into account da difference in devices, it takes time to evaluate and correct any issues dat may arise. we apologise for da delay but be assured dat our developers r looking into da issue. please watch for any fuyure application updates in ur devices store. When I updated to the Grandpa Smurf update, using a Droid x2, my village crashed everytime I pushed play. I could not restore my village, same thing happened. What I did was change my phone to air plane mode, shut off my phone, took out the battery and let it sit for 60 plus seconds. Put it all back together, restarted the phone and my village opened. But it told me I changed the date and punished me by sending out smurfs for 167 hours. Whithered all my crops, etc. So I played what I could, closed out of it, went back to air plane mode and turned it off. Shut off my phone, took out the battery, blah blah blah. Turned the phone back on, started the game and it opened, but with everything like it was supposed to be. Been playing for 2 days, no real problems, same old glitches here and there. Also reporter smurf came back. Built my balloon, travel to island, mountain, everything. Hope this helps some people.
Thanks, it worked. I was able to get into the game. But the time on a message in a bottle was down to 3 hours and some other things are glitchy. I might take a break until the next update.

This just happened to me, and the way i fixed it was changing the date on my device to the previous day. The game then opened and papa smurf said something about being disappointed about me messing with the time, but I got no punishments (maybe because this was the first time ive ever changed the device time/date). I then exited and changed the date to the correct one and continued playing my game. My game would always crash when I travelled to the island, so im going to try and avoid travelling there until the next update and hope the problem is fixed (ive told beeline about my game crashing problem).
I'm glad it worked for you, but Beeline has been very clear that changing the clock for any reason will result in Jokey not giving gifts, Reporter disappearing, or other bad things happening within the game. Those things may not happen immediately, so keep an eye on your smurfs and special smurfs.
I encounter this just now. Manage to fix it. It seems like you need to disable automatic update then reboot your device.

when i updated to this version the game wouldnt open anymore. you guys recommended me to restart phone. then the game was gone, i got the error "application not found" and i could download it again from google play store (it didnt say it was already installed). beeline said to me there was nothing they could do to restore my village and they would give my bought smurfberries back.

You need to delete at least one program on your device and try again. Grandpa's error means you don't have enough space for it to use to apply the update. The file is larger than the last one.
I did so ande deleted 2 programs but same error is still and i cant play smurfs plzzzz help ;(;(
Sounds like you still don’t have enough space. I don’t know for sure why, but it needs a lot of Free RAM and physical space to download. Make sure you close all running programs and clear your RAM via task manager and try downloading again. You have to make sure you have enough physical space as well as enough free RAM. Delete programs you aren't using, and clear your RAM of programs you don't often use. i don't think the problem is memory because I have 1GB device memory and 1GB RAM ,I'm waiting for beeline support answer. I hope they help us solve the problem
It is important to know how much your device shows as free vs your total memory. Please let us know what Beeline has to say. It was my experience that I needed at least 50% of my 1GB RAM free before it would allow me to download.

I have answered several questions on this. Yes. I think it is a bug, similar to when Jokey told us to grow pears but we weren't yet on the level where pears are unlocked. Ignore the quest for now.
I asked Beeline about this issue, they say they are sorry for the inconvience and theat they have no timeline to fix it.

No. It is a bug. You cannot complete Grandpa's quest at this time. While I realize it severely limits what you are able to do on the mountain, you have to ignore it for now until Beeline issues a fix.

Not sure why that isn't satisfying the quest. I believe some iOS players have experienced similar problems. You might try to dig for another one.

Try collecting from Timber Smurf a few times. Perhaps you do not have enough wood around him.

I'm guessing you mean you cannot play? Try the following things: 1) power cycle your device; 2) if #1 doesn't work, try using the data recovery feature by going in to your blue Play menu and tapping "Options." Tap Papa Smurf's head 16 times until "Recover Village" appears. Tap "Recover Village." Look through the list of backups that appears and choose one from before the time you did the update. It is possible that the data became corrupted during the update process; 3) if #1 and #2 don't work, you should open a ticket with Beeline Support: http://beeline-i.com/support.php
i have the same problem and i contactet beeline and they suggested those 2 things and i tried again even deleting som games at my phone but nothing seems to help

I had the same problem. After much trial and error I have got my game working again.
I first put the date and time on my phone back to the end of October. The game then started. It had killed all my crops and sent my smurfs out for 167 hours. After playing for a while I went to the island. On travelling it crashed and when I went back into the game it had re-set the date and time on my phone to the correct settings and now seems to work ok. Im not sure where but at somepoint along the way I have switched on my data network.
I'm running it on a Samsung GalaxyS (GTI-9000)

Same here on Samsung Galaxy 1 Plus. Shuts down after tapping Play. Same when trying to recover village. Help!!! Switching Sounds and Effects doesnt work for me.
I’m using SE Xperia Arc LT-15 phone. Sadly, after this update I can no longer play my Smurfs’ village. The game crashes every time I hit the PLAY button. Rebooting the device did not help. I cannot even recover the saved village, because when I hit the button REVIEW VILLAGE the game crashes as well.
I’ve already opened the support ticket at Beeline, we’ll see what they’ll suggest.
Very dissapointed!!! I really didn’t expected such a major problem. I’m level 44, and I had all sorts of bugs, but they’ve always seemed solvable. And I didn’ even mind the lost Tracker Smurf and all the latest mishaps. But this!..

The Beeline support replied the developers are aware of the problem, but as far as I’ve understood, the fixing of it is no priority, therefore it will take some time.
Do not reinstall your village – you will have too start it from a scratch again, all will be lost. There is no possibility for android users to backup their game somewhete outside their device. And this is really pissing me out
I always backup the game BEFORE any update, just in case anything goes wrong (as this last one).
However, if you have root access to your device, you can simply copy the savegame files, uninstall/reinstall the game, copy the savegame files in the appropriate empty folder and finally recover the village.
i had the same problem, and what worked for me was to restart te game from options menu. you start from lvl 1 play it for a few second, then exit the game and in option menu recover village (wich should work now) then recover your last village and u can play normally again at the lvl you where at before the crash.
Same problem here. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab. I managed to update yesterday and I got to the mountain today. I shut off the game and now every time I hit play the game closes. I have tried turning off the tablet and starting again. No luck. I do not want to wait until the X-mas update to play.

Did you back up your phone data to your computer? If yes, you can restore it, but remember to back up again before you restore it to prevent you'll lost that latest data.

there is an easy solution to this problem.. go to your options menu choose restart village, you start from lvl 1.. play the game for 10 seconds then exit. now go to recover village and you will be able to recover your village to a point before it crasched and will be lvl 44 again and play the game normally

The first smurfy wonder is the windmille on the mountain and it gives you one sb every week when it is completed
In new update,I find some bugs.
1. when I go to my island,the game crashed.I should start game again,I'm in the island.
2. I can't zoom out in the island.
3. In 1.1.6a update,I can't go to my friends' village.when I go to friend's menu,the game crashed again.This bug does't fixed in latest update.
4. I also find special smurfs like to walk together.It's very hard that I can't tap what I want to choose.

You just have the island, right? that's the price it always has. The houses in the island cost you more than the ones in the main village

Same here, also just as Meliana said below, the app opens but as soon as play is selected it crashes. Preview restore villages just the same. Using an asus tablet. Previous update caused rafts not returning but at least one could still play.
I’ve been contact beeline support,and they tell me that it might be a corupt memory and must restart phone. I already do that,get my memory phone 165Mb for free,restart 4times,but still cant play iy..really worried if i lose 32+ my smurf village. Maybe if anyine know how to downgrade it back to 1.1.6a version :-/

Technically there is a way to revert, if you have a rooted device and the Titanium Backup app. If you make a backup through the app, you can restore the game to its previous state, complete with recovery points. The free version of TB works, as long as the device is rooted.
I have the Play Store set to download updates for SV manually, and I’m careful to make a backup before installing.
I cannot get the balloon. I'm still stuck with the papa smurf quest that I can not finish. He just keep saying to visit another village. I got stuck in this for 2 updates already. Do you know how to overcome this quest and get the quest to build the balloon? thanks

I don't like the spade thing in the mountains. Spend 200 coins but what you get is not worth it. I spent 200 but got 50 back. It's just a waste of money.
It’s useful if you need building resources and have a way to get a lot of cash. 200 gold is an insignificant amount if you have the harvest wagon and a lot of smurfs. You sometimes get smurfberries from digging too.
My village is level 47 with 100 smurfs on the mainland. I always plant golden corn before going to bed, and I clear around 14,000 gold per night. It’s actually nice to have something worthwhile to spend the money on, since I was buying magic hats at 50,000 each just for kicks.
I wonder what will happen in the next update? Probably gonna have some way to go under ground, I suppose……. Maybe there will be underground smurf next time!!! Hahaha…….
Will this update fix a bug in Papa Smurf quest ? He asks to visit another village, but visiting another village is not working.

I'm not sure, It came with the last 3 updates ago, when I'm on level 34. Now I'm on level 37. I have been waiting for 3 updates but still have that bug. And I also have had a bug with reporter smurf ever since he was introduced in Smurf Village. My Reporter never disapear but I always get the day 1 price 310 coin, and the article of tapping the Smurfette

Solution:
The game crashes when i start on the iseland.
So i restored 1.1.6a with Titanium Backup, traveled to the Main Iselan and updated then.
Since then the Update worked very well

When I go to island from village,the game crash.Then I tap the icon into the game,I'm on my island.I have to go to my island by taping the game icon again.

I've got air balloon and I'm now up at the mountains. Grandpa says I should harvest one shrub of Acorns but I can not build a tree because it says "Need another smurf". I have built three houses and has five Smurfs. What should I do to complete the mission?

I don't have this problem. Try to place it again. When I place at the first time, Grandpa said can't place the shrub in the dig area. So try again may me work.

The only bugfix I can detect is that the sporty mini-game counts as a mini-game in the achievementslist. Beeline didn’t even mention bugfixes with this release.. shame

You need to complete Papa Smurf's quests first… i.e. collect the 10 wood and then harvest some magical raspberries.

Stop pushing for updates if can't fix for all the bugs. I got so irritated with my 4 missing rafts, missing reporter and tracker smurf, and gifting. Contacted Beeline and they said they are not in timeline for a fix.

Wow. It seems like we have the exact problmes. I have 4 missing rafts, 2 missing smurf (reporter and tracker, they are physically not in the village, MIA), gifting problem (i can't even see the icon of my neighbor's village).
I've sent email to Beeline, and the only thing they said is "we are aware of the problems, but we currently have no timeline for a fix"

I am also missing 4 rafts (the four smurfs have returned, but the rafts remain grey…). I also cannot see or gift my friends. Nor has tracker appeared in my village. After performing the Grandpa update this morning, these problems remain. So, unfortunately, this update has no fix for these problems

still waiting. really don't think the android users are going to get the new update. From what I saw they have moved the date 3 different times.
there's a lot of bugs with the new down load going to the island game crushes almost every time, all of my item's that I could build or get on the main land are backwards, and the game still runs really slow.
This update would be awesome, if they would fix the bug that has kept me from playing my game for the last three months. I know this is not beeline’s site, but I wish to be able to play soon. It’s been 4 updates and I haven’t been able to experience any of them. And I have done all the tricks you guys have posted, and no I can’t recover my village since I haven’t been able to play for 89 days and it only holds 40 days worth.
I’m pretty sure it holds the last 40 successful backups, not the last 40 days. I installed a new ROM on my phone, but it didn’t work out and I had to go back to an image that was a week old. When I checked my restore points in the game after restoring the image, the latest one was dated the day I took the image.
If you haven’t been able to open the game, your backups should still be there.
