Smurfs village crops bug
Posted by: | Comments
After the latest iOS smurfs village update 1.3.6 many players were unable to access to their villages. Apparently there is a minor glitch related to crops, so whenever you have crops ready to be harvested, you can’t get in after the update. Beeline is aware of the problem and are working to fix it as soon as possible. However there are a few tricks you can try at the moment that may help you to gain access to your village again. Speeding up crop growth with the Silo in the Smurfs village
Posted by: | Comments
The latest version of the Smurfs village (1.3.2 on iOS) added the Silo to the mainland and the island. The Silo costs 15 Smurfberries (in both section, that is 30 Smurfberries to get in areas) and can be used to speed up large amounts of crops at a time with the use of additional Smurfberries.
The silo gives the option to speed up all (100%), 75%, 50% and 25% of the currently planted crops. But just like speeding up crops one at a time it costs a fee of Smurfberries for every crop that is sped up. This means the prices can be quite high.
The amount varies on the kind of crop, how much time it takes to grow and how much time is left. That means the silo will most likely only be useful for people who speed up large crops at a time manually and would have spend the Smurfberries to do so anyways.
To speed up crops, simply click on the Silo and choose how many crops to speed up. A list with the Smurfberry cost (for all the crops that will be finished growing immediately) will show up. Read More→

Smurfcrow, which was made available previously on sale and is back to the smurfs village as promotional item again. Despite the Smurfcrow doesn’t generate any XP but it is guaranteed to scare away pests, and if you place it next to crops they will take longer to wither according to Beeline’s description. The Smurfcrow offer is only available for 8 hours; it is available on the main smurfs village only, and not in the island. I costs 15 smurfberries and you can only buy it once. Read More→
Growing fruits on trees or shrubs
Posted by: | Comments
In the latest update (version 1.1.2 iOs) a new way to grow fruits was introduced. At level 21 it is possible to buy trees (shrubs) for either 2,500 Coins or 10 Smurfberries on which a Smurf can grow fruits for XPs and Coins.
It is possible to grow all kinds of fruits on the shrubs after they have been placed, that means they behave like the gardens and can be used individually. It is not necessary to choose a certain fruit for a specific tree before the purchase. As with the gardens, tapping the tree opens a sidebar at the right side of the village with all of the available fruits. At the moment the following fruits can be grown:
Fruit Cost XP Coins Duration Min. Level
Acorn 20 Coins 300 XP 60 Coins 24 hours Level 21
Pears 38 Coins 540 XP 114 Coins 48 hours Level 25
Oranges 54 Coins 750 XP 162 Coins 72 hours Level 29
Cherries 68 Coins 930 XP 204 Coins 96 hours Level 33
Peaches 80 Coins 1080 XP 240 Coins 120 hours Level 38
Riddle # 1
Posted by: | CommentsDuring level 23 Papa smurf will give you the first riddle as following: “I may seem tough, I may seem dry, but beneath the surface I make you cry. What am I?”
Hint: It’s a crop. Plant the crop mentioned in the riddle. So you will earn an additional 900 XP.
Remember! Avoid to click on “Show Solution“ below only if you stuck, otherwise this might spoil it and take away the fun of finding the solutions on your own.
Solution: Onions. Just plant a crop of onions and harvest it when it is ready
Farmer Smurf
Posted by: | Comments
Farmer Smurf is again a stationary Smurf, staying in front of his house all the time. He does not come with his own mini-game, but he can help harvest the crops faster when they are done as well as increase their value.
He can be bought for 25 Smurfberries and if his hut is placed close to a garden, he raises the amount of XP and Coins given by crops planted there by 25%. He can do this for up to eight gardens if they are placed close to him or touch his mushroom. To see which gardens are affected, touching Farmer turns them green.
Once Farmer has been touched, a window on the right side appears that has a “Harvest All Crops” button at the end. If this button is pressed, all crops that are ready get harvested instantly and the according number of XPs and Coins is added to the user’s status. This is especially helpful if a village has progressed and hence has a lot of gardens, because it saves time otherwise needed to harvest every single crop individually.

A function that many fans of the game have been asking for was added in version 1.1.2 of the app. It is now possible to upgrade Farmer Smurfs hut so that on top of his “Harvest All” function it is also possible to plant a specific crop on all available fields with one click. Like the “Harvest All” feature this can save you a lot of time if you have many gardens in your village.
To enable this function Farmer’s Hut has to be upgraded for 15 Smurfberries, just tap on his house and then on the “Upgrade” button in the window that pops up on the right side. As soon as the upgrade is completed this function can be used and Farmer’s Hut gets a black weather station on top of his thatched roof as a visualisation of that upgrade.
To use this feature, just tap on the house and click on the “Plant All Crops” button. A sidebar with all the available crops will appear. The numbers shown there (i.e. the price, the number of XP and Coins gained) are accumulated, that means they are the totals for all the crops that will be planted by tapping on them, not just for the one individual crop that is shown in the normal mode.
If this function is used, the chosen crop will be planted on every garden and the number of crops is only limited by the amount of available Smurfs and free gardens.
* Special trick for extra XP from Farmer Smurf ! Read below.
It is possible to arrange the gardens in the village in squares of eight with a hole in the middle that can accommodate Farmers Mushroom (see the image below). That way, if all crops are harvested individually and Farmer is placed in the centre of the eight gardens to be harvested, then moved to the next square of gardens before harvest the crops, he can increase the number of XPs and Coins given for every crop in the village by 25%.
With Beeline’s latest release of the watering can for Farmer Smurf on 27 March 2012, when placed correctly, up to 22 crops can receive the bonus, at a cost of 15 smurfberries.
Growing Crops
Posted by: | Comments
Experience Points are primarily earned by planting, growing and then harvesting crops. Every crop that has been planted gives a specific amount of XP as soon as it has been harvested.
Crops can take up to 24 hours before they are ready to harvest and they can also wilt. After a crop is done it must be harvested within the same time frame that was needed to grow it, otherwise it will wilt (i.e. if a crop takes six hours to grow, it will wilt after another six hours). The only exception to that rule are the blueberries, they wilt after five minutes, even so they only need 30 seconds to grow.
This is very important to know, because that way the user can plant his crops according to his schedule, for instances, while sleeping at night it is better to plant crops that take longer before they are done, so that they can be harvested in the morning, instead of having to remove the wilted crops without receiving any XP or Coins. If a harvest has nonetheless wilted, the crops can be restored to health by spending one Smurfberry (see below for more information on Smurfberries).
The following is a list of all available crops, their growing time, costs, earnings and most importantly their affectivity (XP gain per hour, not included is planting and harvesting time).
To harvest one of those crops, just tap on the garden and choose the crop by taping on it.
