Lost village or return to level 1

If you opened the Game and your village reverted back to a lower level or restarted to level one, the most important thing to do is close the app immediately and do not continue playing. Then power cycle and restart your device (hold the sleep button on the top until a “slide to power of” message appears. After the device has restarted, go back to the App: your old village should be back.

If that has not helped, see the section “Backing up the village – preventing data loss and restoring a lost village” on how to restore it from a backup point.

    Hi I have smurfsvillage for Android. I had an HTC mytouch and got a new HTC One. I can't seem to be able to transfer the game and its data from my old phone. Is there any way to transfer ??

        I tried these new ways of backing it up but it doesen't work. I've not been able to play my game since January. When I download the app to my new phone it starts at level one. I have my data saved for the game on a sd card but the old handset that the game was originally downloaded on can not be turned on cause of battery issues. I think I may have to buy a new battery for the old phone, turn on the phone, back up the data and then re download to my new handset. This is the only solution that I can think of. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do please. Thank you

          You would have to backup the game on your old device first before you try to transfer it to a new device. Are you playing on the Android OS or on iOS?

    Not sure if this where to post this but, my device didn't lock and four smurfs were bought with smurfberries by mistake while in my bag. Is restoring the village to before they were bought the only way to return them & get my berries back? I currently have 100,000 bonus xp from Tracker and I don't want to lose it.

    Help please, i updated my game and my village is gone back to lvl 1. Isnt it damn crazy? My game is not reinstalled. I only made and update on android market.

      If you made backups on Google Cloud, it is possible to recover your village. If you had low battery, had the game open while uodating, or had not rebooted your device in several days, it is possible your data became corrupted when you updated. You could also try looking at the hidden recovery files on your device to try to recover your progress. From the blue Play menu, tap Options. Tap tge icon of Papa Smurf 16 times. When it appears, tap Recover Files. See if you have any files listed and previrw them one by one, going from most recent to least recent.

    I accidentally deleted the smurfs app because it was right next to an app I was trying to delete, ended up getting so pissed because I got so far so I didn't play for a while. Is there any way I can get my village back? I had all the special smurfs and some other things I really don't want to lose (nor spend money on again). Someone please help :(

    It's been months since I last played this game. I downloaded app onto my new phone and it's in my old village, level 28…. But what happend to all my smurfs? I had dozens and dozens.. Even some purchased with real money… Now I have a total of only 8!? How can I get the others back? I'm trying to get back Into the game but every time papa smurfs wants me to "send 5smurfs into the forest" when there's already 3 in there from joker who still haven't returned, I'm seriously crippled! No way to play with no smurfs… Ugh

      Do you have iOS or Android? If you have iOS you can make a backup from your old phone (via Game Center or iCloud/iTunes) and then restore your game on your new phone. It sounds to me like the data got corrupted when you transferred it this time.

      if you go into options when you go into the game look for papa smurfs head tap on papa smurf until the box that says legal/ report turns into restore village. secret restore setting in the game hope it works for you

    Hi i accedently deleted smurfs thinking it was another app so when i got it back from the app store it was all gone i was on level28 but now im on level 1 how can i get it back?

      You cannot Beeline periodically determines whether or not the app is supported on different devices, and if they see too many incompatibilities they pull support for a particular device. If you do not see the game on Google Play, it is no longer avaiable for your device.

      I'm sorry to inform you you can't transfer your game. Apple and Android products do not mix. You have to start all over your game if you are using an Android phone now.

      You can use a backup software like Helium (see our article on the subject) if you have Android 4.0 orbetter on the device where your game resides http://www.mysmurfsvillage.com/smurfs-village-int… but you should be aware it is Beeline's official position that there is no sanctioned backup or game transfer solution for Android. You could restart your game on your new device and open a ticket with Beeline asking to have your purchased Smurfberries reinstated on your new device because you had to restart the game.

    Hi, i was level 30 when i last saw my village. However i changed a new iphone and opened the app.. It prompted me to load either a lvl 1 village or lvl 30(my old village). I accidently pressed on the lvl 1 instead… How do i revert this? Any help is much appreciated..thanks!

      If you have access to your old iOS device or still have an icloud/iTunes backup of it you can restore your device from the backup and will get your village back, if you do not have either, you can't get your village back, sorry to say.

    Hi. I just got onto my village, and it is giving me quests from the beginning of the game. The game has not restarted, because I am still on the same level that I was before, with the almost everything being the same on the mainland (the sanctuary and its quests also restarted). Also, the swoof planet has restarted completely, the only thing is that I still have the expansions that I had, but it's not giving me the option for more expansions. It is also not letting me go onto my island. Is there anything that I can do? Thanks!

      Try recovering your village data from the hidden backups. From the blue Play menu, tap Options. Then tap the icon of Papa Smurf 16 times. When it appears, tap Recover Village. Preview the files going from most recent to least recent. You need to choose a backup from before the problem started.

    im at level 34 when i noticed that when i purchase a decoration,the amount of it is deducted from my coins but isnt saved when i place it on my main village even aftwr trying to relaunch the gamw and restarting the device.moreso,the main characters are doubled like papa amurf,jokey,etc.each has the separate quests or gifts and u have to tap it separately.it just suddenly happened.what do i need to do?how do i file a ticket if needed?how long will it be corrected if ever?

      Sounds like you might have data corruption. Try recovering from the hidden backups. From the blue Play menu tap Options. Then tap the icon of Papa 16 times. When it appears, tap Recover Village. Preview the most recent file you see on your screen. If the duplicates are gone, overwrite your village with that file. If not, proceed to the next one. If recovering doesn't fix the problem, you will need to open a ticket with Beeline at http://beeline-i.com/support.php

    Hello! Can anybody, please, help me? I was on level 34 on my Samsung S2 and when I upgraded 3 days ago to Android 4.2.2 my village was lost. The game is still on the phone, it appears installed, but when I try to access it the phone blocks completely and I have to restart it. I wrote to beeline…but no answer. I copied the file "com.capcom.smurfsandroid" on my laptop. Should a uninstall the game, reinstall it and copy the file back? Did anybody tried it? Does it work?
    Any advice? Please! Unfortunately I did't make any backups to the game….. :(

      DO NOT uninstall the game, or you will delete VERY IMPORTANT files that you need to run the game. What you copied onto your SD card is not the full data for the game. Please be more specific than "phone blocks completely and I have to restart it". Does this mean that the phone freezes up? Do you see the orange screen, and then the blue screen? Please tell us how far you get and if you see any error messages. You stated you wrote to Beeline, but it is not clear if you opened a ticket, which is the ONLY correspondence they respond to. Thursday was a holiday in the US, and I'm not sure if their offices were open on Friday, but if you opened a ticket you should have received an automated message stating they received the ticket. Please contact them again if you have not actually opened a ticket at http://beeline-i.com/support.php

        Hello! Thanks fot the prompt answer. Regarding the phone, it freezes up completly…no orange screen, no nothing. I can't use the phone anymore. The only only thing that still works is to restart it.
        I opened a ticket at Beeline, not a simple mail, and they answered yesterday that they do apologies but they don't have a timeline for this bug and that they sent it to the developeres.
        Yesterday I took a risk…and I reinstalled the game and I copied that file back to my phone…..you are right…IT DID'T WORK. I LOST EVERYTHING. Well, now I have young smurfs to look after! ;)

    Can anyone help me? I was at level 42. Last night i was visit my smurf village, and i had lose all my mushroom in space, i tap my ship to go to island but i can't. Papa smurf and smufette ask me to do some task that i have done before. And i lose my alchemist too. I think my game center was saved my game, but i lose a lof of thing in the same level. What should i do? :(

    I was using the time trick on the setting . I was like on 2015 ’cause I’m getting the smurfberries on space. My crater won’t work now

      The "time trick" as you put it is Cheating. The reason your craters and other things in your game won't work is because the game has detected you changed the clock and it is coded to stop working when it detects cheating. You can play for a few more days to see if your game returns to normal, or you can restart the game at Level 1.

      What I think you were asked is if you wanted to use the version of your village that was on Game Center, which was on Level 4. When you answered yes, it overwrote your village to Level 4. See if you have any hidden backups by going go the blue Play menu and tapping Options. Then tap the icon of Papa Smurf 16 times. When it appears, tap Recover Village. You should see a list of files. The current one might be Level 4. Go through the list to see if there is a backup close to where you left off at Level 32. If you find one, overwrite your village with that file.

      Next time, if you are prompted to choose a village, choose the one which shows the highest level of progress.

        Hey. This has happened to me too and this is what I do every time. I don't know if this will work now but try this (I found it on the net and yes I didn't believe it at first too) when first going onto your smurf village and opening it, when it says to play, options and so forth go to options. Where there is papa smurf press on papa smurf nearly 20 times really quickly (I'm not joking). The legal/support centre will change its name. Click on this and your old or newest village should pop up. It works for me. I don't know if it will work for you however bc you put it to level 4 again. Hope it works :)

          What you have discovered is how to find the hidden recovery feature. What you see after tapping Papa Smurf 16 times is the list of the hidden recovery files.

      You have to have separate Game Center ids for each device in order for the games to be separate for your daughter and you.

      Try to recover from the hidden backups. From the blue Play menu, tap Options. Then tap the icon of Papa Smurf 16 times. When it appears, tap Recover Village. Preview the most recent file you see on the screen and see if it is at the correct level. If so, overwrite your village with that file, otherwise preview the next most recent file and so on until you locate the backup that matches your level before the update.

    Hi there, I have a big problem. After updating to the new version I have lost half of my stuff in space. I have lost all my 4 craters. Since I didn't know about the hidden backups, I went to reinstall the game and used the Game Center trick. I did recover the online village but my stuff in space are still missing. Would the next update maybe fix this problem cos I really do not want to start again. I am on level 47 :o/

      Since you reinstalled the game, you wiped out your data. You are starting over. If you open a ticket with Beeline, they can restore any purchased Smurfberries, but they will need your receipts from Google Wallet or iTunes.

    The last Sumrf Village update caused my game to lose some of my houses and decorations and also the animal sanctuary. It didnt lose the level I was on or my smurf berries everything I tried wouldn't get my buildings back. So I deleted the app from my phone wish was already saved in Game Center. When I downloaded the app again and tired to restore my village via Game Center. It only restored level 1. I was already on level 33 or so. Please help me!

      Redownloading the game automatically reset your game to Level 1 and destroyed your dara. You are at Level 1. What you should have done is restored from the hidden backups.

    Game Center did not have any backups saves listed. My friends can still see my village where it left off so I know the info exists? How to I get this and apply it to my smurfs?

      What your friends see isn't your actual village. It is a picture of it somewhere on Beeline servers, but it isn't sata you can use.

        I have the same issue. lost my data before my Dam finished on the island, and now when I view it from my friend's device, my Dam is finished, and my crops are withered. So, the village IS progressing, which means it MUST exist somewhere.

          Nope. It is just a picture of your village on one of the Beeline servers. It's not really your village – just a snapshot of it.

    Please help, since the latest update my game on android shuts down when i press play. I'm at level 40. When i try to recover the village to a date 2 or 3 days ago, i can see my game how it was, he asks if i want to go to that stage, i say yes and i begin at level 1!!!! I have tried this several times and every time i start at level 1. I opened a ticket whit beeline they keep telling me to recover the village to restore lost data but they dont listen because i loose all my data by recovering. What else can i do?? I already shut down my device and restarted it also doesnt work….. Why does the game shut down when he tries to open?
    I am sorry if i make mistakes in my writing, i come from Holland, i am dutch not english…..

      Please don't worry about your English. It is very good. :) I'm not sure what to tell you about Beeline not listening. I had the same thing happen to me two days ago. Are you running Android 4.0 or higher? Try to respond to the email they sent to you and tell them you already tried what they are telling you and it didn't work. I have personally stopped playing the game because of the technical issues. I think ultimately they will tell you to reinstall and restart the game. Should you choose to do that, you should request to have the smurfberries you purchased reinstated to your new installation. You will need to provide copies of your Google Wallet receipts.

      I just wanted to say, this has happened to me before and I have one really helpful tip to get back to your recent quest. All you have to do is change the clock forward the amount of time you want. Avoid using internet while playing the game and also don't change the clock backward to the REAL time unless you are done with fast forwarding the game. Just please acknowledge that Papa smurf will give you a warning not to overwork the smurfs, but there won't be a consequence until several warnings are given. Also, you earn about 130 sbs by the time you reach level 20, which has worked for me since I had to recover my village once. By the way, still file a report to google play store and beeline.

        Why would you want to cheat the game like that? We strongly discourage cheating the game on this site as it is not at all the smurfy thing to do and doing so risks permanent data corruption. And once it is known that a player has cheated the game, no one will be happy to help a cheater recover their data.

          the plan I said was only if everything was lost and there is no chance to recover. I only used this cheat after i lost my game twice because I updated the system. It was only to catch up to the current level I was at, and it isn't fun cheating in smurf's village at all because there is no point of playing if you could instantly do anything.

        It turned me back to lvl 7!! I tried the papa thing I tapped the icon 16 times then I pressed
        "Recover village" then I saw the saved villages but I could not preview or choose any of them…..I have contacted beeline but I have not got a response yet….sorry about my English by the way….I am from Greece … Please help me…

          If the recovery option didn't work and if you didn't make a separate backup to iCloud (iOS) or with Helium or other 3rd party apk (Android), you will need to restart the game. Did Beeline ever answer your ticket from august 8? If you purchased smurfberries, they are generally good about reinstating them when players have to restart the game. You will need copies of your iTunes or Google Play receipts as proof of purchase.

    I am in level 50 and I was playing normally, suddenly when I opened the smurf game to play it. Papa smurf showed and start asking to build a mashroom house just like the level one. My village still here but all my smurfes gone. My boat disappeared and I had used REAL money to buy the recent smurfs and item all gone. Everything go back to level 1 but it still says in level 50.

    I followed the advise about tapping papa smurfs head in the options menu many times and a recover menu appeared. I was able to restore the version but nothing has worked. I spent so much REAL money and time to built the village. I don’t want to start all the way over.

      You will need to open a ticket with Beeline via their support portal if your recovery operation did not work. Type beeline-i.com/support.php into the URL box of your web browser.

    i was at level 54 on my android device 4.0.3. and i upgrade to android 4.1.2 jelly bean but i can't find my smurfs village application anymore. but on the application folder you can find a folder "com.capcom.smurfsandroid" but nothing else. what can i do now , i am afraid if i reinstall the game i will loose my progress ;(. please anybody can help by any suggestion. thank you

      When you upgrade your OS, the instructions say it wipes out some of your data. If there are any files in the folder you found, try copying them to another location (a folder on your PC or laptop) and then install the game. Try then putting the file back on your device. If the directory is empty, it is quite possible your data is gone. You may want to contact Beeline to see if they have different advice at http://beeline-i.com/support.php

        thank you stroumpfette. i try my luck and reinstall the application but it didn't take all the 69 mb just only 4,5 mb and i transfert the game app from the SD storage to the device storage and play the game and all my progress still there at the same level. thank you for your help and hope this issue may help others

      Try to restore your game from a backup point. The article above links to our "how to" guide that gives you instructions on how to restore your village, it should work unless you have deleted the game on your device.
